12  For that time, for one Sabbath day, Jesus come de pass farm wey them plant things,* im disciples come de hungry. So as them de pass, them come de pluck some of the things* for the farm de chop.  When the Pharisee people see wetin them de do, them come tell-am say: “See! Your disciples de do wetin them no suppose do for Sabbath day.”  E come ask them say: “Una never read wetin David do when e and the men wey dey with-am de hungry?  How e enter the house of God and them chop the bread wey them put as offering to God,* something wey e and the people wey dey with-am no get right to chop, because na only priests de chop-am?  Or una never read-am for the Law say for Sabbath day, the priests for temple de work, and them still no do bad?  But I de tell una say, wetin big pass the temple dey here.  But if to say una understand wetin this thing mean say, ‘I want make una de show mercy, no be to de do sacrifice,’ una for no condemn this people wey no do bad.  Because the Son of man na Lord of the Sabbath.”  After e don comot from there, e come enter their synagogue, 10  and see! one man wey im hand don die,* dey there. Many people still follow-am, and e cure all of them. 16  But e give them serious warning say, make them no let people know who e be. 17  So that wetin Isaiah the prophet talk go happen, say: 18  “See! This na my servant wey I choose, wey I love, and wey de make me happy! I go give-am my spirit, and e go make all kind of people know the correct way to do things. 19  E no go quarrel, e no go shout, and nobody go hear im voice for streets wey plenty people de pass. 20  E no go cut any tall grass wey don bend comot, and e no go quench any lamp thread wey don nearly off, until e make sure say e don correct all the bad things wey de happen. 21  True-true, people for everywhere go put their hope for im name.” 22  Then them carry one man wey demon dey im body come meet-am. The man blind and e no fit talk, and e heal the man. The man wey no fit talk come start to talk and de see. 23  The thing surprise all the plenty people wey dey there, and them start to talk say: “Make e no be say na the Son of David be this o!” 24  When the Pharisee people hear this one, them come talk say: “Na the power of Be·el′ze·bub,* the ruler of the demons e de use pursue demons comot.” 25  As e be say Jesus know wetin them de think, e come tell them say: “Any kingdom wey the people no dey as one and de fight theirself go fall, and any city or family wey the people no dey as one and de fight theirself, no go fit stand. 26  Na so e still be, if Satan de pursue Satan comot, e mean say e de fight imself. So how im kingdom want take stand? 27  Another thing be say, if na Be·el′ze·bub power I de use pursue demons comot, which person power una pikin them de use pursue them? Na only when e don tie-am, e go fit carry the property for im house. 30  Anybody wey no dey my side dey against me, and anybody wey no follow me gather, de scatter. 31  “Because of this one, I de tell una say, God go forgive people any kind of sin and any bad word wey them talk, but anybody wey talk bad word against holy spirit, God no go forgive-am. 32  For example, anybody wey talk against the Son of man, God go forgive-am, but anybody wey talk against the holy spirit, God no go forgive-am, whether for this world,* or for the one wey de come. 33  “If you take care of tree, e go fine and e go produce better fruit, but if you no take care of the tree, e go rotten and e go produce rotten fruit, because na the fruit wey tree produce them go take know the kind tree wey e be. 34  Una wey be children of vipers,* how una go fit talk better things when una wicked? Because na the things wey full person heart, im mouth de talk. 35  Good man de bring good things from the better-better things wey e get, but wicked man de bring wicked things from the bad-bad things wey e get. 36  I de tell una say for Judgment Day, people go answer for all the useless things wey them de talk, 37  because na the things wey you talk go make God talk say you be person wey de do wetin correct, and na the things wey you talk go make-am condemn you.” 38  Then some of the scribes and the Pharisee people come answer-am say: “Teacher, we want make you show us one sign.” 39  Jesus come answer them say: “Wicked generation wey don leave God* de always look for sign, but them no go show-am any sign apart from the sign of Jo′nah the prophet. 40  Because just as Jo′nah be dey the belle of the big fish for three days and three nights, na so the Son of man go dey inside grave for three days and three nights. 41  Nin′e·veh people go come back to life for Judgment Day with this generation and them go condemn-am, because them repent when Jo′nah preach to them. But see! something wey pass Jo′nah dey here. 42  The queen of the south go come back to life for Judgment Day with this generation and e go condemn-am, because e travel come from far place to hear the better sense wey de come from Sol′o·mon mouth. But see! something wey pass Sol′o·mon dey here. 43  “When wicked spirit* comot from person body, e de pass different-different place wey water no dey, de find where e go rest, and when e no see, 44  e go tell imself say, ‘I go go back to my house wey I comot from.’ When e reach there, e come see say the house dey empty, and them don sweep-am clean, and make everywhere fine. 45  Then e go, go bring seven other spirits, wey wicked pass-am. And after them don enter inside the man, them come stay there; the final condition of that man come worse pass as e first dey. Na so e go still be for this wicked generation.” 46  As e still de talk with the plenty people wey dey there, im mama and im brothers come, and them stand for outside, de find way to talk to-am. 47  So, one of the people for there come tell-am say, “See! Your mama and your brothers stand for outside, and them want talk to you.” 48  E come answer the person wey tell-am this thing say: “Who be my mama, and which people be my brothers?” 49  Then e point im hand to where im disciples dey, and talk say: “See! Na my mama and my brothers be this! 50  Because anybody wey de do wetin my Papa for heaven want, na that person be my brother and sister and mama.”
