Na you know as you go do-am o!”*  So e throw the pieces of silver for the temple and comot, then e go hang imself.  But the chief priests take the pieces of silver and talk say: “E no good to put them for the holy place wey them de keep money, because na blood money them be.”  After them don talk the matter together, them come use the money buy the land of the person wey de use clay mold things so that them go de bury strangers for there.  Because of this one, them de call that land, Land of Blood, come reach today.  Then wetin God use prophet Jeremiah talk happen, say: “And them take the 30 pieces of silver, the price wey them put for the head of the man, the one wey some of the people of Israel put price for im head. 10  And them use them buy the land of the person wey de use clay mold things, just as Jehovah don command me.” 11  Now, Jesus stand for front of the governor. The governor come ask-am say: “Na you be King of Jew people?” Jesus come answer-am say: “Na you yourself de talk-am.” 12  But as the chief priests and the elders de talk against-am, e no talk anything. 13  Then Pilate ask-am say: “You no de hear the plenty things wey them de talk against you?” 14  But e no answer-am, e no even talk anything, and this one really surprise the governor. 15  That time, from festival to festival, the governor de always release one prisoner give the people, and na anybody wey the people want. 16  And for that time, e get one person wey bad well-well wey them put for prison. Im name na Bar·ab′bas. 17  So when the people gather together, Pilate come ask them say: “Na who una want make I release give una? Bar·ab′bas or Jesus wey them de call Christ?” 18  Because Pilate know say na bad belle* make them carry-am come give-am. 19  Another thing be say, as e sitdown for the judgment seat, im wife send message to-am say: “Make you no do that righteous man anything o, because I suffer well-well for dream today because of-am.” 20  But the chief priests and the elders convince the plenty people say make them talk say na Bar·ab′bas them want and say make them kill Jesus. 21  The governor come ask them again say: “Which one of the two una want make I release give una?” Them come talk say: “Na Bar·ab′bas.” 22  Pilate come ask them say: “So wetin una want make I do to Jesus, wey them de call Christ?” All of them come talk say: “Go kill-am for pole!” 23  E come talk say: “Why? Which bad thing e do?” But them continue to shout more-more say: “Go kill-am for pole!” 24  When Pilate see say all the things wey e want do no work, but instead, na riot want start, e come carry water and wash im hand for the front of the plenty people, and talk say: “My hand dey clean from the blood of this man. Na una head e dey.” 25  Then all the people come answer-am say: “Make im blood dey our head and the head of our children.” 26  Then e release Bar·ab′bas give them, but talk say make im soldiers flog Jesus, e come carry-am give them say make them go kill-am for pole. 27  Then the soldiers of the governor carry Jesus enter the place wey the governor de stay and them gather all the soldiers around-am. 28  Them come comot im cloth, and use one long red cloth cover im body, 29  and them use chuku-chuku make one crown and put-am for im head, them come put one tall grass wey be like stick for im right hand, then them kneel down for im front, de use-am do yeye, de talk say: “We greet* you, you wey be King of Jew people!” 30  And them spit for im body, take the stick and start to hit im head. 31  Last-last, when them don use-am do yeye finish, them come pull the red cloth comot, and wear-am im cloths,* then them carry-am go so that them go nail-am for pole. 32  As them de go, them see one man wey come from Cy·re′ne wey im name be Simon. Them come force-am say make e carry Jesus torture pole.* 33  And when them reach the place wey them de call Gol′go·tha, wey mean Skull Place, 34  them come give-am wine wey them mix with something wey de bitter say make e drink, but when e taste-am, e no gree drink-am. 35  After them don nail Jesus for the pole, them come cast lots take divide the cloths wey e wear ontop. 36  Them come sitdown for there de watch-am. 37  Them still write wetin them use accuse-am and nack-am for the pole ontop im head, say: “This na Jesus, the King of Jew people.” 38  Them still hang two criminals for pole by im side, one dey for im right side and the other one dey for im left side. 39  And people wey de pass that place de talk bad things about-am and de shake their head, 40  and de talk say: “You wey talk say you go scatter the temple and use three days build-am back, save yourself! If you be son of God, come down from the torture pole!”* 41  Na so the chief priests with the scribes and the elders start to use-am do yeye too, de talk say: 42  “E save other people, but e no fit save imself! If e be King of Israel, make e come down from the torture pole* and we go believe-am. 43  Since e trust God, make God come save-am now if e want-am, because e talk say: “I be Son of God.” 44  Even the criminals wey them hang for poles with-am be de insult-am like that too. 45  From the sixth hour* go reach the ninth hour,* darkness come cover the whole land. 46  Around the ninth hour, Jesus shout with loud voice say: “E′li, E′li, la′ma sa·bach·tha′ni?” wey mean, “My God, my God, why you leave me?” 47  As some of the people wey stand for there hear this one, them come start to talk say: “This man de call E·li′jah.” 48  At once, one of them come run carry sponge and soak-am for sour wine, and put-am for tall grass wey be like stick and give-am to-am make e drink. 49  But the rest people talk say: “Leave-am! Make we see whether E·li′jah go come save-am.” 50  Jesus come talk with loud voice again and breathe im last breath. 51  And see! the curtain wey dey the temple* tear into two, from top go reach down, and ground shake, and the rocks tear. 52  And graves* open, and plenty dead body of the holy people wey don die come out. 53  And many people see them, (and after God don bring Jesus back to life, people wey de come out from where the graves dey, enter the holy city.) 54  But when the army officer and the other soldiers wey dey with-am, wey de watch Jesus see the ground wey shake open, and the things wey de happen, fear catch them no be small, and them talk say: “True-true, this na the Son of God.” 55  And many women be dey there de look from far place, this women follow Jesus come from Gal′i·lee to help-am. 56  Some of them na Mary Mag′da·lene and Mary wey be the mama of James and Jo′ses and the mama of the sons of Zeb′e·dee. 57  Now as e don de near evening, one rich man from Ar·i·ma·the′a wey im name be Joseph come, im too don become disciple of Jesus. 58  This man go meet Pilate and talk say make them give-am Jesus body. Pilate come command the soldiers say make them give-am the body. 59  Joseph come carry the body, and use clean and fine linen cloth take wrap-am. 60  And e carry-am put for im new grave* wey e dig inside rock, and after e don roll one big stone take cover the mouth of the grave,* e come comot. 61  But Mary Mag′da·lene and the other Mary no comot from there. Them sitdown for front of the grave. 62  The next day wey be the day after the day wey them de prepare for Sabbath, the chief priests and the Pharisee people gather together for front of Pilate. 63  Them talk say: “Oga, we remember say when that wayo man still dey alive, e talk say, ‘After three days, God go bring me back to life.’ 64  So make you command your soldiers to guard the grave until the third day, so that im disciples no go come thief-am comot and tell people say, ‘God don bring-am back to life!’ If that one happen, then this lie go even bad pass the first one.” 65  Pilate come tell them say: “Una fit take soldiers, make una go guard the place as una feel say una fit guard-am reach.” 66  So them go, and cover the stone wey dey the mouth of the grave well, and put soldiers for there.
