First Corinthians 2:1-16
2 So my brothers, when I come tell una the holy secret of God, I no come with big-big word or with my own sense.
2 I decide say I no go talk to una* about anything except Jesus Christ and how them kill-am ontop the pole.
3 And when I come meet una, I dey weak, I de fear, and I really de shake.
4 And for the things wey I talk and wey I preach, I no use sweet-sweet word wey people wey get sense de use. Instead, the things wey I talk show the spirit and power of God,
5 so that una no go put una faith for the sense from people, instead una go put una faith for the power of God.
6 Now we de talk sense among una wey don mature, but no be sense from this world* or from the people wey de rule for this world, this people wey no go dey again.
7 But we de talk about the sense from God wey dey inside the holy secret, the sense wey hide, wey God don already decide before the world,* for us to get honor.
8 Na this sense the people wey de rule for this world* no know, because if to say them know-am, them for no kill the wonderful Lord.*
9 But just as them don write-am: “Eye never see and ear never hear, and no human don ever think for im heart the things wey God don prepare for people wey love-am.”
10 But na we God don use im spirit show this things, because the spirit de check inside everything, even the deep things of God.
11 Who fit know wetin another person de think, no be only the person know wetin dey im heart?* So, for the same way, nobody don know the things wey God de think, except the spirit of God.
12 Now, no be the spirit of the world we receive, but na the spirit from God, so that we go fit know the things wey God don use good heart give us.
13 We still de talk this things but we no de use words wey people use their sense teach. Instead, we de use words wey the spirit don teach to explain* matters wey concern the spirit with words of the spirit.
14 But person wey im body de control no de accept the things from the spirit of God, because this things dey foolish to the person, and e no go fit know them because na the spirit de help person check them well.
15 But person wey the spirit de direct de check everything well, but nobody de judge this kind person.
16 And them don write-am say: “Who don know the mind of Jehovah, so that e fit teach-am?” But we don get the mind of Christ.
