  • Sense for this world na foolish thing with God (18-23)

3  So my brothers, I be no fit talk to una as people wey the spirit de direct, but I talk to una as people wey de do wetin their body want, as people wey be small children for the way of Christ.  I feed una with milk, no be with solid food, because una never strong reach. The truth be say, even now, una never strong reach,  because una still de do wetin una body want. Since jealousy and fight-fight still dey among una, no be wetin una body want una de do? And no be like people of the world una de do?  Because when one person talk say, “I de follow Paul,” but another person talk say, “I de follow A·pol′los,” no be like people of the world una de do?  So, who A·pol′los be? And who Paul be? We just be servants wey help una believe the good news, just as the Lord don give each person the chance.  I plant, A·pol′los put water, but na God continue to make-am grow.  So no be about the person wey de plant, or about the person wey de put water, but na about God wey de make-am grow.  Now the person wey de plant and the person wey de put water na one,* but each person go get im own reward for im own work,  because we de work with God. Una be like farm wey God de work, and una be like house wey God de build. 10  Because of the special favor of God wey e give me, I lay foundation as master builder wey really sabi im work,* but another person de build ontop-am. So make each person de watch how e de build ontop-am. 11  Nobody fit lay any other foundation apart from the one wey don already dey, wey be Jesus Christ. 12  Now if anybody de use gold, silver, better-better stones, wood, different-different dry grass, de build ontop the foundation, 13  wetin each person work be, go show* because the day go show-am clear. Fire go open-am, and the fire go show the kind work wey each person don do. 14  If the thing wey person build ontop the foundation continue to stand, e go get reward. 15  If fire burn the work wey person do, e go lose, but the person go dey safe. Even with that one, e go be like person wey come out from fire. 16  Una no know say una be the temple of God, and say the spirit of God de stay inside una? 17  If anybody destroy the temple of God, God go destroy the person, because the temple of God dey holy and na una be that temple. 18  Make nobody deceive imself. If anybody among una think say e get sense for this world,* make e become fool so that e go fit get sense. 19  The sense for this world na foolish thing with God, because them don write-am say: “E de catch the people wey get sense for their own cunning-cunning.” 20  And them still write say: “Jehovah know say the things wey people wey get sense de think dey empty.” 21  So make nobody de boast about people; because na una get everything, 22  whether na Paul or A·pol′los or Ce′phas* or the world or life or death or things wey dey here now or things wey de come, na una get everything; 23  and na Christ get una; and na God get Christ.
