First Corinthians 4:1-21
4 Person suppose de see us as people wey de work for* Christ, and as servants wey de care for the holy secrets of God.
2 For this matter, the thing wey them expect from this kind servants na for them to dey faithful.
3 Now, e no too dey important for me if una or human court judge me. The truth be say, I no de even judge myself.
4 I no know of any bad thing wey I do. But this one no show say I be person wey de do the correct thing for God eye; na Jehovah be the person wey de judge me.
5 So make una no judge anything before the correct time reach, until the Lord come. E go bring the secret things wey dey darkness come out for light, and e go show the things wey people de plan for their heart, and then each person go get im praise from God.
6 Now my brothers, I don use* this things for myself and A·pol′los as example for una good, so that una fit learn this thing from us wey go guide una, wey be: “No do pass the things wey them don write,” so that una no go de carry body up, de favor one person pass the other one.
7 Who make una different from another person? True-true, wetin una get wey no be person give una? If na true say na person give una, why una de boast like say no be give them give una?
8 Una don already get everything wey una need? Una don already dey rich? Una don start to rule as kings leave us? I really wish say una don start to rule as kings, so that we too go fit rule with una as kings.
9 For me, e be like say God don put us wey be apostles as last group for show, as people wey must die, because we don be like people wey de do show for stadium, so that the world, angels, and people go de look.
10 We be fools because of Christ, but una get sense as people wey de follow Christ; we dey weak, but una dey strong; them de honor una, but them no de honor us.
11 Till this time, hunger still de catch us, we no de see water drink, we no get enough cloths,* them de beat us,* we no get house to stay,
12 and we de struggle, de work with our own hand. When them insult us, we bless them; when them suffer us, we dey patient de endure;
13 when them lie to spoil our name, we sofri answer* them; till now, we don be dirty for the world, everything wey people de troway.
14 I de write this things, no be to shame una, but na to advice una as my children wey I love.
15 Even though say una fit get 10,000 people wey de direct* una about how to follow Christ, the truth be say una no get many papa. But I don be una papa because I bring the good news about Christ Jesus come meet una.
16 So I de encourage una say make una de follow my example.
17 Na this one make me de send Timothy come meet una, because na my pikin wey I love and wey dey faithful for the work of the Lord. E go remind una about the way I de do things* for Christ Jesus, just as I de teach for everywhere for all congregation.
18 Some of una de carry body up like say I no de come meet una.
19 But I go soon come meet una if na wetin Jehovah want, and I go know the power wey the people wey de carry body up get, instead of the things wey them de talk.
20 And the Kingdom of God no be about the things wey person de talk, but na about power.
21 Which one una want? Make I come meet una with cane, or with love and gentle heart?
