First John 1:1-10
1 We de write to una about the person wey dey from beginning, wey we don hear im voice, wey we don see with our eyes, wey we don take time look and our hand touch-am, the word of life,
2 (true-true, them make the life clear to us, and we don see this life wey no go end wey come from the Papa, wey them make clear to us. Na im we de talk about and report to una),
3 na the person wey we don see and hear im voice we still de tell una about, so that una too fit dey as one* with us. Na so we self don be one with the Papa and im Son Jesus Christ.
4 And we de write this things to una so that all of us go happy well-well.
5 This na the message wey we hear from-am and na im we de tell una say: God na light, and no darkness dey inside-am at all.*
6 If we talk say, “We be one with-am,” and we still de waka for darkness,* we de lie and we no de follow the truth for our life.
7 But, if we de waka for the light as E dey for the light, e mean say all of us dey together as one, and the blood of Jesus wey be im Son de make us clean from all sin.
8 If we talk say, “We no de sin,” we de deceive ourself, and the truth no dey inside us.
9 If we confess our sins, e go forgive our sins and make us clean from all the bad things wey we de do, because e de do wetin e promise and e de do wetin correct.
10 If we talk say, “We never sin before,” e go be like say we de talk say God na lie-lie person and we no believe the things wey e de talk.
