First Peter 1:1-25
1 Me, Peter, wey be apostle of Jesus Christ, de write to una wey de live for different-different area for Pon′tus, Ga·la′ti·a, Cap·pa·do′ci·a, Asia, and Bi·thyn′i·a. Una wey go live for short time for this world, and wey them don choose,

Make the special favor and peace wey God de give una de plenty more-more.
3 Make the God and Papa of our Lord Jesus Christ get the praise, because e don show us mercy no be small, as e give us new life* so that we go get hope wey dey sure* as e bring Jesus Christ back to life,
4 and we go fit get the reward wey e don promise us, wey no fit spoil, wey dey pure, and wey no de fade. E don already keep-am for heaven for una,
5 una wey God de use im power protect because of una faith, so that e go save una and e go make una know everything about this salvation for the time of the end.
6 Because of this one, una de happy no be small, even though say, now, for short time, una fit de suffer because of the different-different problem wey una de face.
7 This things wey una de face go show how una faith strong reach. This kind faith get value pass gold wey fit spoil even though say fire don make-am pure, because e go make una get praise, glory, and honor for the time wey people go see wetin Jesus Christ go do.*
8 Even though say una no see-am, una love-am. Even though say una no de see-am now, una still put faith for-am and una really get joy and de happy no be small,
9 because una dey sure say una faith go make God save una.*
10 For this matter say God go save una, the prophets wey be talk about the special favor wey e show una, really ask questions about-am and check-am well-well.
11 God be don use im holy spirit tell them say Christ go suffer and after, God go raise-am high. Na im make them continue to check so that them go know wetin go happen to Christ and the time when e go happen.
12 God make them know say the work wey them de do no be for theirself, but na for una. And now, una don know the things wey them talk about from the people wey tell una the good news, and na the holy spirit wey come from heaven help this people. Na this things even angels really want understand.
13 So make una ready una mind for work. Make una continue to think well for everything wey una de do. Make una put mind for the special favor wey them go give una for the time wey people go see wetin Jesus Christ go do.*
14 When una never know God, una de do the bad things wey una body want. But now wey una be children wey de obey God, make una stop to allow those things wey una body want to control una.
15 Instead, una must dey holy for everything wey una de do, just like the Holy One wey call una.
16 Because them write-am say: “Una must dey holy, because I dey holy.”
17 If una de call the Papa wey no de do partial, but wey de use wetin person do judge-am, make the things wey una de do de show say una de fear-am for this short time wey una de live for the world.
18 Because una know say no be things wey de spoil like silver or gold them use free una* from the useless life wey una be de live just as una papa-papa them teach una.*
19 But them free una with the precious blood of Christ wey be like the blood of lamb wey no get any mark or stain.
20 Na true say God don choose Christ before the world start,* but na because of una e don show who the Christ be for the time of the end.
21 Na because of-am una believe God, the person wey bring-am back to life and give-am honor, so that una go fit put una faith and hope for God.
22 Now wey una don make unaself clean as una de obey the truth, and the result be say una no de pretend to love una brothers, make una get strong love wey come from the heart for each other.
23 Because them don give una new life,* but no be seed wey fit spoil them take give una this life, na seed wey no fit spoil,* and na God wey no de ever die use im word do this one.
24 Because “everybody be like grass and their fine body be like bush flower; grass de die and flower de fall comot,
25 but the word wey Jehovah talk de last forever.” And this “word” na the good news wey them preach to una.
