First Timothy 5:1-25
5 Make you no de talk anyhow to old man. Instead, de treat old man like say na your papa, and de treat young men like say them be your brothers.
2 Make you de treat old women like say them be your mama, and de treat young women like say them be your sisters, and de do-am with complete clean heart.
3 Make you de care for* widows wey really be widows.*
4 But if any widow get children or grandchildren, make this ones first learn to do wetin God want for their own family, and to give their papa and mama and their grandpapa and grandmama wetin them suppose give them. Na this kind thing God de accept.
5 Na the woman wey really be widow and wey no get any help don put im hope for God and continue to really beg God for help and de pray day and night.
6 But the one wey de think of how to do wetin im body want don die, even though say e dey alive.
7 So make you continue to direct them to do this things,* so that people no go fit de talk bad about them.
8 True-true, if anybody no de provide for people wey be im own, and especially people wey de live for im house, e don reject the faith and e worse pass person wey no get faith.
9 Any widow wey im age don reach 60 years go up and wey be get one husband, make im name dey for the list.
10 Make people know-am as person wey do good-good things, e don train im children well, e sabi welcome people well, e don wash leg of holy ones,* e don help people wey de suffer, and e put im heart to do every good work.
11 But make you no put young widows for the list, because when feeling for sex don de push them comot from Christ, them go want marry.
12 And them go bring judgment for theirself because them don break their first promise.*
13 Apart from this one, e don be part of them to just dey and de do nothing, de waka up and down from house to house. True-true, no be only say them no de do anything, but them still de gossip and de put mouth for other people matter and de talk about things wey them no suppose talk.
14 So I like-am make young widows marry, make them born children, de care for their family well, and make them no give anybody wey dey against us the chance to talk bad about us.
15 The truth be say, some of them don comot for the correct road de follow Satan.
16 If any woman wey de serve God get family members wey be widow, make this woman help them so that the congregation no go carry the load. Then, the congregation go fit help people wey really be widows.
17 Make you de see the elders wey de direct the congregation for fine way as people wey suppose get double honor, especially the ones wey de work hard for the way them de talk about the word of God and for the way them de teach.
18 God word talk say, “When you de use bull de separate grain, make you no cover im mouth,” and e still talk say, “Workman suppose get im pay.”
19 If them talk something against old man,* make you no accept-am unless two or three people wey see wetin happen fit prove-am.
20 For front of everybody, make you give strong correction to people wey continue to sin so that this one go be warning for other people.*
21 For front of God and Christ Jesus and the holy angels,* I de give you this serious command to follow this direction wey I don give. When you de do this one, make you no use wetin you don get for mind before to judge people, and make you no do partial.
22 Make you no ever hurry to put your hand ontop any man,* and make you no join for the sins of other people, continue to live clean life.
23 Make you no drink water again,* but make you take small wine because of your belle and because you de sick plenty times.
24 The sins of some people de show clear and this one de bring judgment quick-quick, but the sins of other people de show after.
25 Na so e still be with the better things wey person de do, e de show clear. And the better things wey no show clear, no go fit continue to hide.
