Second Corinthians 6:1-18

  • No use the special favor of God anyhow (1, 2)

  • Paul talk about im preaching work (3-13)

  • No join people wey no believe the good news (14-18)

6  As una de work together with God, we still de advice una say make una no accept the special favor of God and miss the reason for the favor.  Because e talk say: “For the time of favor, I hear you, and for day of salvation, I help you.” See! Now especially na the time of favor. See! Now na the day of salvation.  We no de do anything to make person fall for any way, so that them no go see any fault for our work.  But for every way, we de show say we be servants of God for the way we de endure plenty things, when we de suffer, when we no get wetin we need, when we de face problems,  when them de beat us, when them de put us for prison, when we de face riots, when we de work hard, when we no de sleep for night, when we no de chop food,  when we dey pure, when we know things, when we dey patient, when we dey kind, when holy spirit de guide us, when we de show love wey no de pretend,  when we de talk true, when we de get power from God, when we hold the righteous weapons* for our right hand* and our left hand,*  when them de honor us and when them de disgrace us, when we de hear bad report and when we de hear good report. People de see us as people wey de deceive other people but we de talk true,  as people wey nobody know but God know us, as people wey de die* but see! we dey alive, as people wey them de punish* but we no die, 10  as people wey dey sad but we de always happy, as poor people but we de make many people rich, as people wey no get anything but we get everything. 11  We don open our mouth to talk* to una, my brothers and sisters for Corinth, and we really love una.* 12  We no show una small love,* but na small love una de show us. 13  So make una do the same thing—I de talk to una like my children—make una really show love too.* 14  Make una no join* together with people wey no believe the good news, the two no match. Which business people wey de do the correct thing for God eye get with people wey dey against law? Or wetin concern light with darkness? 15  Another thing na say, which agreement Christ and Be′li·al* get? Or which business person wey believe the good news* get* with person wey no believe the good news? 16  And which agreement the temple of God get with idols? We be temple of the God wey dey alive, just as God don talk-am say: “I go stay among them, and waka among them, and I go be their God and them go be my people.” 17  “Jehovah talk say, ‘So, make una comot from among them and separate unaself from them, and stop to touch the thing wey no clean, and I go accept una.’” 18  “‘And I go be Papa to una and una go be sons and daughters to me,’ this na wetin Jehovah, the Almighty talk.”
