Second Peter 1:1-21
1 Me, Simon Peter, wey be slave and apostle of Jesus Christ, de write to una wey don get faith wey get value like our own, and this one dey possible because our God and Jesus Christ wey save us dey righteous:
2 Make the special favor and peace wey God de give una de plenty more-more, because una know the correct teaching about God and Jesus our Lord.
3 Because the power of God don give us* all the things wey we need to dey alive and to serve-am well, and we get this things because we know God well, and e call us because e be wonderful God and e get better mind.
4 Na because of this things e don promise us wonderful things wey really get value, so that because of this things, una go be spirits like God as una don escape from the bad-bad things wey person de do for the world because of wetin im body want.
5 Because of this one, make una try all una best to get better character join una faith, as una get better character, make una know the truth,
6 as una know the truth, make una de control unaself, as una de control unaself, make una de endure, as una de endure, make una serve God well,
7 as una de serve God well, make una love each other like people for the same family, as una love each other like people for the same family, make una love everybody too.
8 Because if una de do this things and them really be part of una character, e go make una use wetin una don learn about our Lord Jesus Christ well, and una no go be like person wey no de do anything, or like tree wey no de produce any fruit.
9 But anybody wey no de do this things na blind person wey no want see light, and e don forget say e don tey wey them make-am clean from im sins.
10 So brothers, make una try all una best to make sure say una hold God tight, so that una go continue to dey among the people wey God don call and choose, because if una continue to do this things, una no go ever fail.
11 The truth be say, na when una de do like this, them go give una the big honor to enter the Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, wey go last forever.
12 Na because of this one, I de always want remind una of this things, even though say una know them and una stand well for the truth wey una don learn.
13 I see say, as I still dey inside this tabernacle,* e good make I remind una this things to encourage una.
14 Because I know say as I de do this one, small time, them go comot this my tabernacle, just as our Lord Jesus Christ don still make-am clear to me.
15 I go always try my best to remind una so that after I don comot, una go fit de remember this things by unaself.
16 No be some lie-lie story wey we hear from people we take tell una about the power of our Lord Jesus Christ and about the time when e go dey around, instead, we take our eye see im wonderful glory.
17 Because na God wey be the Papa make-am get the honor and the glory, and this one happen when God wey give-am this wonderful glory tell-am say: “This na my Son wey I love, wey de make me happy.”
18 True-true, we hear this words from heaven when we dey with-am for the holy mountain.
19 Na im make we dey sure more-more say everything wey God talk go happen and una de do well as una de put mind for this things like lamp wey de shine for dark place, wey be una heart, until day go break and the morning star come out.
20 Because una already know say no prophecy wey dey inside the word of God come from people.
21 Because nobody don ever talk wetin e want as prophecy, instead, na holy spirit direct* people to talk wetin God want make them talk.
