Second Thessalonians 3:1-18

  • De pray (1-5)

  • Warning about people wey de behave anyhow (6-15)

  • Final greeting (16-18)

3  So my brothers, make una de pray for us say make the word of Jehovah continue to spread fast-fast, and make people de accept-am with deep respect, just like una.  We still de pray say make God save us from bad and wicked people, because faith no be something wey everybody de get.  But the Lord de do the thing wey e talk,* and e go make una strong and protect una from the wicked person.  Another thing na say, we trust una as people wey de follow the Lord, say una de do the things wey we tell una to do and una go continue to do-am.  Make the Lord continue to direct una heart well to love God and to endure because of the Christ.  Now my brothers, we de use the name of our Lord Jesus Christ de tell una say, make una no de do things together with any brother wey de behave anyhow, and wey no de follow the things* wey una* receive from us.  Una know wetin una suppose do to follow our example, because we no behave anyhow when we dey with una.  And we no chop free food* from anybody, instead, we de work hard and de struggle day and night so that we no go make any of una over spend to care for us.*  No be say we no get the right to tell una to give us things, but we do this one so that we go use ourself as example for una to follow. 10  The truth be say, when we dey with una, we give una this command say: “If anybody no want work, make e no chop.” 11  We hear say some people among una de behave anyhow, them no de work at all, instead, them de put mouth for matter wey no concern them. 12  We de command this kind people and de advice them with the name of the Lord Jesus Christ say, make them work and mind their own business, and make them chop the food wey them work for. 13  My brothers, as for the rest of una, make una no tire to do good things. 14  But if anybody no de obey the things wey we talk for this letter, make una mark the person and stop to do things together with this person so that e go shame. 15  But make una no take this person as enemy, instead, make una continue to advice-am as brother. 16  Now make the Lord of peace continue to give una peace for everything. Make the Lord dey with all of una. 17  Na me Paul de write this letter with my own hand to greet una, and this one na my sign for all my letters. Na so I de write. 18  Make the special favor of our Lord Jesus Christ dey with all of una.
