Acts 12:1-25
12 Around that time, King Herod start to treat some people for the congregation for bad way.
2 E kill James wey be the brother of John with sword.
3 When e see say the Jew people like wetin e do, e still go arrest Peter. (This one happen for the time wey them de do the Festival of Bread Wey No Get Yeast.)
4 E arrest-am and put-am for prison. E use four group of soldiers to guard Peter turn by turn, and each group get four soldiers. Im plan na to bring-am come out* for front of the people after the Passover.
5 So them keep Peter for the prison, but the congregation no stop to really pray to God for-am.
6 When e don de reach time for Herod to bring Peter come out, that night Peter de sleep, and them chain-am with two chains between two soldiers, and guards dey front of the door de watch the prison.
7 But see! The angel of Jehovah stand for there and light shine enter the prison cell. The angel touch Peter for im side, e wake-am and talk say: “Get up quick-quick!” And the chains fall comot from im hand.
8 The angel tell-am say: “Wear your cloth* and wear your sandals.” E do as the angel talk. Then the angel tell-am say: “Wear the cloth wey you de wear ontop and continue to follow me.”
9 And e come out, and continue to follow the angel, but e no know say the thing wey de happen through the angel dey real. The truth be say, e think say na vision e de see.
10 Them pass the first place wey soldiers de guard and the second one. Then them reach the iron gate wey people de pass comot from the prison enter the city, and this gate open by imself make them pass. After them come out, them pass one street, and just that time, the angel leave Peter.
11 And as Peter understand wetin de happen, e talk say: “Now I really know say Jehovah send im angel and save me from Herod hand and from everything wey the Jew people de expect say e go happen.”
12 After e understand this one, e go the house of Mary wey be the mama of John, wey them still de call Mark, and some people gather together for there de pray.
13 When e knock the door for the gate, one servant girl wey im name na Rhoda come check who dey there.
14 As e know say na Peter de talk, e really happy no be small sotey e no open the gate, but e run go inside and tell people say na Peter stand for gate.
15 Them tell-am say: “You no know wetin you de talk.” But e continue to talk say na Peter. Them start to talk say: “Na im angel.”
16 But Peter no comot for there, e continue to knock. When them open the door, them see-am and them really surprise.
17 But e use im hand tell them make them quiet, and e tell them everything about how Jehovah bring-am come out from the prison, and e talk say: “Make una tell James and the brothers this things.” So e go out and travel to another place.
18 Now when daytime reach, confusion really dey among the soldiers about wetin go don happen to Peter.
19 Herod really find-am for everywhere but e no see-am. So e question im guards and command say make them go punish them; and Herod go down from Ju·de′a to Caes·a·re′a and spend some time for there.
20 Now King Herod de vex for* the people of Tyre and Si′don. So them come meet-am with one mind, and talk to Blastus, the man wey de take care of everything for the house of the king, to change im mind. After that one, them beg say make them get peace with the king again, because na the land of the king de supply their country with food.
21 For one special day, Herod wear one special cloth wey king de wear and sitdown for the judgment seat and start to give talk for front of the people.
22 Then the people wey gather start to shout say: “This one na voice of God, no be voice of man!”
23 At once, the angel of Jehovah strike-am, because e no give the praise to God, and worms chop-am and e die.
24 But the word of Jehovah continue to grow and de spread.
25 As for Bar′na·bas and Saul, after them complete the work to help the brothers for Jerusalem, them go back and take John wey them still de call Mark with them.
