  • Paul defend imself for front of the plenty people (1-21)

  • Paul use the right them wey e get as Rome person (22-29)

  • Sanhedrin gather (30)

22  “Men, my brothers and my papa them, make una listen as I want explain my case to una now.”  So when them hear say e de talk to them for Hebrew language, them quiet more-more and e talk say:  “I be Jew person wey them born for Tarsus wey dey Ci·li′cia, but I go school for this city and na Ga·ma′li·el teach me. Them teach me to obey everything for the Law wey our papa-papa them follow, and I really de put all my heart for God work just as all of una de do today.  I suffer people wey de follow this Way sotey I kill them, I chain both men and women and send them go prison.  And the high priest and all the elders know say this one na true. Na them still give me letters to the brothers* for Damascus, and I dey road de go arrest the people* for there and bring them to Jerusalem make them punish them.  “But as I de travel and don de near Damascus, around afternoon time, at once one strong bright light from heaven just shine everywhere around me,  and I fall for ground and hear one voice tell me say: ‘Saul, Saul, why you de suffer me?’  I answer say: ‘Who you be Lord?’ And e tell me say: ‘I be Jesus wey come from Naz′a·reth, the person wey you de suffer.’  Now the men wey dey with me see the light but them no hear the voice of the person wey de talk to me. 10  And so I talk say: ‘Wetin I suppose do, Lord?’ The Lord tell me say: ‘Get up, go inside Damascus, and for there person go tell you everything wey you need to do.’* 11  But since I no fit see anything because of the way the light shine, the people wey dey with me hold my hand reach Damascus. 12  “Then one man wey im name na An·a·ni′as, wey get deep respect for God the way the Law talk, and wey all the Jew people wey de live for there de talk well about, 13  come meet me. E stand near me and tell me say: ‘Saul, my brother, start to see again!’ And just that time, I look up and see-am. 14  E talk say: ‘The God of our papa-papa them don choose you to come know the thing wey e want and to see the righteous person and to hear the voice wey de come out from im mouth, 15  because e don choose you* to tell everybody about the things wey you don see and hear. 16  And now why you de delay? Get up, make you baptize and de call im name to wash your sins comot.’ 17  “But when I go back to Jerusalem and de pray for inside the temple, I see vision, 18  and I see the Lord de tell me say: ‘No waste time, comot from Jerusalem quick-quick, because them no go accept your message about me.’ 19  And I talk say: ‘Lord, them still know true-true say from synagogue to synagogue, I be de put people wey believe you for prison and de flog them. 20  And when them de kill Stephen your servant,* I stand for there and de support the people wey de kill-am, and I help them hold their cloths wey them de wear ontop.’ 21  And even with that one, e tell me say: ‘Go, because I go send you to nations wey dey far place.’” 22  Now them continue to listen to Paul until e talk this word. Then, them shout and talk say: “Take this kind man comot from the earth, because e no suppose to live!” 23  Because them de shout and the cloths wey them de wear ontop, them de throw-am up and down, and de throw dust for the air, 24  the army commander command say make them bring Paul come inside where the soldiers de live. And e talk say make them de beat-am as them de ask-am question so that e go fit really know why them de shout against Paul like that. 25  But when them don stretch Paul so that them go fit flog-am, e tell the army officer wey stand for there say: “Law support-am make una beat Rome person* wey them never judge?” 26  So when the army officer hear this one, e go meet the army commander and tell-am say: “Wetin you want do? This man na Rome person.” 27  So the army commander go meet-am and ask-am say: “Tell me, you be Rome person?” E talk say: “Yes.” 28  So the army commander talk say: “I use big money buy this right them to be Rome person.” Paul talk say: “But them born me as Rome person.” 29  So at once, the men wey be want beat-am as them de ask-am question shift comot from where e dey; and the army commander start to fear when e know say Paul na Rome person and e be don chain-am. 30  So the next day, because e want really know why the Jew people de talk things against Paul, e release-am and command the chief priests and the whole San′he·drin to gather. So e bring Paul come down and make-am stand among them.
