Acts 28:1-31
28 After we reach the place and nothing do us, we learn say the name of the place na Malta.
2 And the people wey de live for there* really treat us for kind way no be small. Them light fire, and them welcome all of us well because rain de fall and because of cold.
3 But when Paul take some sticks together and put-am inside the fire, one snake come out because of the heat and wrap imself round im hand.
4 When the people wey de live for there see the snake* as e hang for im hand, them start to tell each other say: “True-true, this man na killer, and even though say e fit come out safe from the water, e no go continue to live because this one na im punishment.”*
5 But e shake the snake comot from im hand enter the fire, and no bad thing happen to-am.
6 But them de expect say e go swell up or just fall and die. After them don wait for long time and see say nothing bad happen to Paul, them change their mind and start to talk say na god e be.
7 Now the leader for the land get lands around that area. Im name na Pub′li·us, and e welcome us and care for us well for three days.
8 E happen say the papa of Pub′li·us lie down for bed because e get fever and e de purge,* and Paul go meet-am and pray. E put im hand ontop-am and heal-am.
9 After this one happen, the rest of the people for the island wey de sick start to come meet Paul too make e cure them.
10 Them still give us plenty gifts to honor us, and when we de prepare to comot with ship, them load everything wey we need for us.
11 After three months, we travel with one ship wey get the sign “Sons of Zeus.” The ship na from Alexandria and e don spend the cold season for the island.
12 We reach the place wey them de park ship wey the name na Syracuse, and we stay there for three days.
13 From there we comot and reach Rhe′gi·um. After one day, one south breeze start to blow and we manage enter Pu·te′o·li the second day.
14 We see brothers for here and them advice us make we stay with them for seven days, and from there we start to go Rome.
15 When the brothers from there hear news about us, them come from far to meet us for the Market of Ap′pi·us and for the place wey them de call Three Taverns.* As Paul see them, e thank God and im heart strong.
16 Last-last when we reach Rome, them allow Paul make e stay alone with the soldier wey de watch-am.
17 But after three days, e call the leaders of Jew people together. When them don gather, e tell them say: “Men, my brothers, even though say I no do anything against the people or the tradition of our papa-papa them, them put me for the hand of Rome people as prisoner from Jerusalem.
18 And after them don check the case, them be want release me because them no see any reason to kill me.
19 But when the Jew people no gree, the only thing wey I fit do na to talk say I want make Caesar hear my case, but no be because I get anything to talk against my nation.
20 So because of this one, I talk say I want see una and talk to una. This chain dey around me because of the thing wey Israel don de hope for.”
21 Them tell-am say: “We never receive letters about you from Ju·de′a, and any of the brothers wey come from there no report or talk any bad thing about you.
22 But we think say e go dey fine to hear from you wetin you get for mind, because true-true, as for this new group, we know say them de talk against-am for everywhere.”
23 So them arrange one day to meet with-am and the number of people wey come the place wey e de stay even plenty pass the first ones. And from morning to evening, e explain the matter to them with the way e really preach well about the Kingdom of God, as e use the Law of Moses and the things wey the Prophets don write to make them believe Jesus.
24 Some start to believe the things wey e talk, but other people no believe.
25 So because them no agree with each other, them start to comot, and Paul talk this one thing say:
“Holy spirit dey correct when e tell una papa-papa them through Isaiah the prophet
26 say, ‘Go meet this people and tell them say: “True-true una go hear but una no go ever understand wetin una hear, and una go really look but una no go ever see anything.
27 Because this people heart don strong like stone, them don use their ear hear but them no de do wetin them hear. Them don close their eyes so that them no go ever use their eyes see and use their ear hear, and use their heart understand and turn back, so that I go heal them.”’
28 So make una know say the message about how God de save people don go to the nations; and true-true them go listen to-am.”

30 So e continue to dey there for two full years for im own house wey e rent and e de welcome everybody well wey come visit-am.
31 E de preach about the Kingdom of God to them and de teach about the Lord Jesus Christ, and as e de do this one, e really dey free to talk no be small,* with nothing to stop-am.
