Ephesians 5:1-33
5 So make una de follow the example of God as children wey e love.
2 And make una continue to show love,* just as Christ don love us* too and give imself for us* as offering and sacrifice wey get sweet smell to God.
3 For among una, make them no even hear about sex wey no clean* and different kind of things wey no clean or long throat, because na so e suppose be for holy people;
4 or behavior wey de bring shame or foolish talk or rotten joke—things wey no fit una—instead, make una de thank God.
5 Una know this one, and una understand-am well say, nobody wey de put hand for sex wey no clean,* or person wey de do things wey no clean, or person wey get long throat wey mean to worship idols, go get any share for the Kingdom of Christ and God.
6 Make nobody deceive una with empty talk, because na this kind things go make God punish the people wey no de obey.
7 So, make una no join them;
8 una be darkness before, but now una be light as one with the Lord. Make una continue to live* as children of light,
9 because the fruit wey the light de bring out na every kind of thing wey dey good and wey correct for God eye and wey be truth.
10 Make una continue to make sure say wetin una de do na wetin the Lord like.
11 And stop to put hand for work wey no get gain, wey be part of darkness; instead, make una expose them to show wetin them be.
12 Because the things wey them de do for secret, na shame to even talk-am.
13 Now everything wey them expose,* na light de show-am clear because everything wey don show clear na light.
14 So the word of God talk say: “Wake up, you wey de sleep, and get up from death, and Christ go shine ontop you.”
15 So make una de really watch how una de live* make e no be as people wey no get sense, but make e be as people wey get sense.
16 And make una de use una time well* because the days dey wicked.
17 Because of this one, make una stop to be people wey no de think well, but make una continue to understand wetin Jehovah want.
18 Another thing na say, make una no dey drunk with wine, since this one de make person behave anyhow, but make una continue to make unaself dey full with spirit.
19 Make una de talk to each other* with holy songs, songs to praise God and songs of worship. De sing and de make music for una heart to Jehovah.
20 De always thank our God and Papa for everything with the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
21 Make una de put unaself under each other because of the fear wey una get for Christ.
22 Make wives put theirself under their husbands as them de do for the Lord,
23 because na husband be head of im wife just as Christ na head of the congregation, and na the person wey de save this body.*
24 The truth be say, just as the congregation dey under Christ, na so wives suppose dey under their husbands for everything.
25 Husbands, make una continue to love una wives, just as Christ don love the congregation and give im life for-am,
26 so that e fit make-am holy, de use the word as water to clean-am,
27 so that e fit give the congregation to imself, the way e fine, with no single stain or mark or anything like that, but e go dey holy with no comma.
28 For the same way, make husbands love their wives as their own body. Man wey love im wife love imself,
29 since no man de ever hate im own body, but e de give-am food chop and de care for-am well, just as Christ de do for the congregation,
30 because we be part of im body.
31 “Because of this one, man go leave im papa and im mama, and e go dey tight with* im wife, and the two of them go be one flesh.”
32 This holy secret really dey important. Now I de talk about Christ and the congregation.
33 Even with that one, each of una must love im wife as e love imself; and make the wife get deep respect for im husband.
