Galatians 4:1-31
4 Now I de talk say as long as say the person wey go get the property na still small pikin, e no dey different from slave even though say everything na im own,
2 but e dey under the people wey de care for-am and the servants until the day wey im papa don already fix.
3 Na so e still be, we too, when we be children, the main ideas of the world make us their slave.
4 But when the complete time reach, God send im Son wey woman born and wey be dey under law,
5 so that e fit buy people wey dey under law to release them, make God fit make us im sons.
6 Now because una be sons, God don send the spirit of im Son enter inside our hearts and e de make us talk loud say: “Abba,* Papa!”
7 So you no be slave again, but you be son, and if you be son, then you go still inherit the blessing from God.
8 But, when una never know God, una be slave to people wey no really be gods.
9 But now wey una don come know God, or instead, wey God don know una, how e be say una de turn back again to the weak and useless ideas and una want be their slave again?
10 Una de take una time de celebrate days and months and seasons and years.
11 I de worry say somehow everything wey I don do for una na waste.
12 My brothers, I de beg una, make una be as I be, because before, I be like una. Una no do me any bad thing.
13 But una know say na because of sickness I get the first chance to preach the good news to una.
14 And even though say my condition become test for una, una no treat me anyhow or hate me,* but una receive me like angel of God, like Christ Jesus.
15 Where the happiness wey una first get? I dey sure say if to say e dey possible, una for don bring out una eyes and give them to me.
16 So now, I don become una enemy because I de tell una the truth?
17 Them de do everything wey them fit do to draw una come their side, but no be for good reason. Them want separate una from me so that e go de hungry una to follow them.
18 But e de always good for person to do everything wey e fit do to draw una come im side for good reason, and no be just when I dey around una,
19 my children wey I love, wey de make me feel pain again like woman wey want born; and the pain go continue until una behave like Christ.*
20 I wish say I fit dey around una now-now and talk for different way because una don confuse me.
21 Tell me, una wey want dey under law, Una no de hear the Law?
22 For example, them don write-am say Abraham get two sons, one from the servant girl and one from the free woman.
23 But the one from the servant girl, e born-am for normal way* and the other one from the free woman na through promise.
24 We fit take this things as story wey get another meaning, because this women mean two agreements. The one from Mount Si′nai, wey born children to be slaves na Ha′gar.
25 Now Ha′gar mean Si′nai, one mountain for Arabia, and e represent the Jerusalem for our time because e be slave with im children.
26 But the Jerusalem for up dey free and na our mama.
27 Them don write-am say: “De glad, you woman wey no fit born, shout loud with joy, you woman wey no get labor pain because the children of the woman wey them abandon don really plenty pass the children of the woman wey get the husband.”
28 Now my brothers, una be children of the promise, the same way like Isaac.
29 But just as e be that time, the one wey them born for normal way* start to suffer the one wey them born with the power of the spirit, na so e still be now.
30 But, wetin the word of God talk? E talk say, “Drive the servant girl and im son comot, because the son of the servant girl no go ever inherit the blessing with the son of the free woman.”
31 So my brothers, we no be children of the servant girl, but we be children of the free woman.
