Hebrews 12:1-29
12 So, because we get this kind big group of people wey be witness* wey surround us like big cloud, make we still troway all the load and the sin wey de quick tie us, and make we endure as we de run the race wey dey our front,
2 as we de really look Jesus, the Main Leader of our faith and the Person wey de make our faith complete. Because of the joy wey dey im front, e endure for torture pole,* e no mind the shame, and e don sitdown for the right hand side of the throne of God.
3 True-true, make una think well about the person wey don endure this kind bad-bad talk from sinners, talk wey no even benefit them, so that una no go tire and fall.*
4 As una de fight against that thing, una never struggle reach when una blood go pour.
5 And the advice wey God give una as im children, una don forget-am finish. E say: “My pikin, make you no take the correction* from Jehovah like something wey no get value, and make you no tire when e correct you,
6 because Jehovah de correct* people wey e love. The truth be say e de give strong correction* to everybody wey e take as im pikin.”
7 Una need to endure as part of una correction.* God de treat una as im children. Any pikin dey wey im papa no de correct?*
8 But if all of una no get this correction,* una no be im real children, una be children of another person.
9 Another thing na say, our papa them for this earth* be de correct* us, and we de respect them. So, we no suppose ready more-more to put ourself under the Father wey de use im spirit direct our life and continue to live?
10 Them de correct* us for short time for way wey them feel say e dey good, but God de do this one for our gain, so that we go fit dey holy as e dey holy.
11 True-true, no correction* de sweet the time wey person receive-am, instead, e de pain.* But after, for people wey the correction don train, the gain na peace wey be to do the correct thing for God eye.*
12 So, make una make the hands wey don drop and the knees wey don weak, dey strong again.
13 And make una continue to make straight road for una leg, so that the leg wey no strong no go break comot for the joint, instead, e go heal.
14 De try make you get peace with everybody and dey holy,* because if person no de do this one, e no go see the Lord.
15 Make una really dey careful so that nobody go fail to get the special favor of God, make root wey get poison no go start to grow to cause trouble and to make plenty people no dey holy.
16 And make una dey careful so that nobody among una de do sex wey no clean,* or no de value holy things, like Eʹsau, wey give im right as firstborn because of one plate of food.
17 You know say after, when e want get the blessing, them no gree for-am. Even though say e try im best to use tears to change the decision,* that one no work.*
18 The thing wey una don come near, no be something wey una fit feel and wey de catch fire, and wey get dark cloud, deep darkness, and strong wind,
19 and the sound of trumpet, and the voice wey de talk wey be say when the people hear-am, them begin beg say make them no tell them more things.
20 Them no fit bear this command: “Even if animal touch the mountain, make una stone-am.”
21 And the thing wey them see really make them fear, sotey Moses talk say: “I de fear and de shake.”
22 But, una don come near Mount Zion and the city of the God wey dey alive, wey be Jerusalem for heaven, and plenty-plenty* angels
23 wey gather together. Una don come near the congregation of the firstborn wey them write their name for heaven, and God wey be the Judge of everybody, and near the people wey de do the correct thing wey the spirit de direct their life and wey don dey perfect.
24 And una still don come near Jesus wey be the middleman for the new agreement and the blood wey e sprinkle, wey de talk for better way pass the blood of Abel.
25 Make una make sure say una no fail to listen to* the person wey de talk. Because if people wey fail to listen to the person wey de give warning from heaven to people for this earth no escape, then we too no go fit escape at all if we no gree listen to the person wey de talk from heaven!
26 That time, im voice shake the earth, but now, e don promise say: “I no go only shake the earth again, but I go still shake the heaven.”
27 Now the word “again” show say the things wey de shake, wey be things wey them don make go comot, so that the things wey no fit shake go fit remain.
28 So, as we see say we go get Kingdom wey nothing fit shake, make we continue to get special favor wey go fit make us worship God with fear and deep respect for way wey e accept.
29 Our God na fire wey de burn something finish.
