Hebrews 3:1-19
3 So my holy brothers wey dey among people wey God don call* to go heaven, make una think well about the apostle and high priest wey we show say we get faith for, wey be Jesus.
2 E dey faithful to the Person wey choose-am, just as Moses be for the whole house of that Person.
3 E* reach to get more honor pass Moses, since person wey build house get more honor pass the house.
4 True-true, every house get person wey build-am, but the person wey make everything na God.
5 Now, Moses dey faithful as servant for the whole house of that One, and this one show* the things wey them go talk after.
6 But Christ dey faithful as son wey de control the house of God. We be Im house, if true-true, we really continue to dey free to talk and really hold tight the hope wey we de boast about go reach the end.
7 So, just as the holy spirit talk, “Today if una listen to im voice,
8 make una no make una heart stubborn, like the time wey una papa-papa them make me really vex, like the day wey them test me for wilderness.
9 For there, una papa-papa them test me and them try me, even though say them see the things wey I do for 40 years.
10 Na this one make me really vex with this people and talk say: ‘Them de always do wetin no correct for their heart, and them no know my ways.’
11 So I vex swear say: ‘Them no go enter my rest.’”
12 My brothers, make una dey careful, so that any of una no go ever start to get wicked heart wey no get faith because of say e draw comot from the God wey dey alive.
13 But make una continue to encourage each other everyday, as long as them call-am “Today,” so that the power wey sin get to deceive no go make una get stubborn heart.
14 We go really be part of* Christ only if we hold tight the trust wey we get from the beginning go reach the end.
15 As them talk-am, “Today if una listen to im voice, make una no make una heart stubborn, like the time wey una papa-papa them make me really vex.”
16 Who hear and still make-am really vex? True-true, no be all the people wey Moses lead comot from Egypt?
17 Apart from that one, who God really vex with for 40 years? No be the people wey sin, wey their dead body remain for wilderness?
18 And which people e swear about say them no go enter im rest? No be the people wey no obey?
19 So we see say them no fit enter because them no get faith.
