James 4:1-17
4 Why una de fight and quarrel with each other? No be the things wey una body want wey want control una* de cause-am?
2 Una want get things but una no de fit get them. Una de hate* each other and de put eye for the things wey other people get, but una no de fit get them. Una de fight and behave as if na war una dey. Una no get anything because una no de beg God.
3 Even when una beg for something, una no de get wetin una want because the reason why una de beg for those things no good. Una want use them do wetin una body want.
4 Una wey no de serve God with all una heart,* una no know say person wey be friend of the world na enemy of God? So anybody wey want be friend of the world de make imself enemy of God.
5 Or una think say na for nothing na im the word of God talk say: “Our heart* wey de move us to want jealous other people de make-am always de hungry us to get different-different things”?
6 But the special favor wey God de give us de help us control ourself make those things no hungry us. Na im make the word of God talk say: “God dey against people wey de carry body up, but e de give special favor to people wey de carry body down.”
7 So make una put unaself for God hand, but make una stand against Devil, and e go run comot from where una dey.
8 Make una come near God, and e go come near una. Make una wey de sin comot hand from sin and una wey get double mind, make una clean una heart.
9 Make una no happy at all, and make una de cry. Una no suppose de laugh, na cry una suppose de cry. Una no suppose de happy, una suppose to really feel bad.
10 Make una bring unaself down as Jehovah want, and e go raise una up.
11 My brothers, make una stop to de talk bad things about each other, because anybody wey de talk bad things about im brother or de judge im brother, de talk bad about God law, and de judge the law. So if you de judge God law, you no de follow the law, but na judge you be.
12 Na only God be Person Wey De Give Law and Judge, na only-am fit save and destroy. But you, who you be wey you de judge another person?
13 Now make una listen, una wey de talk say: “Today or tomorrow, we go travel go this city and we go dey there for one year, do business and make money.”
14 But una no know how una life go be tomorrow, because una be like dew wey de come out and after small time, e go comot.
15 Instead una suppose talk say: “If na wetin Jehovah want, we go dey alive and do this one or that one.”
16 But una de carry body up and una too de boast about unaself. E really bad as una de boast like that.
17 So, if person know how to do wetin good, but e no do-am, e don sin be that.
