James 5:1-20
5 Now, make una listen, una wey be rich people. Make una cry, make una cry well-well because of the kind problem wey una go soon face.
2 The better-better things wey una get don dey useless* and insect don chop una cloth finish.
3 Una gold and una silver don rust finish and the rust go show the bad things wey una don do and e go chop una body. Everything wey una don gather go be like fire for the last days.
4 See! The money wey una no gree pay people wey help una harvest wetin una plant for farm de cry to God, and the cry of this people wey help una, don reach the ear of Jehovah of armies.
5 Una don live big man life and don do things wey una body want for this earth. Una don chop and fat* like animal wey de wait for the day wey them go kill-am.
6 Una don condemn the person wey de do the correct thing for God eye and kill-am, na im make e dey against una.
7 So my brothers, make una dey patient until when the Lord go dey around.* See! Farmer de wait for the better fruit wey the ground go produce. E de sofri wait for-am until the first rain and the last rain for the season go fall.
8 Make una dey patient too, make una heart strong because the time wey the Lord go dey around don near.
9 My brothers, make una no de complain* about each other so that them no go judge una. See! The Judge don already dey the front of the door.
10 My brothers, make una de follow the example of the prophets wey Jehovah send to use im name talk to people. Them suffer them no be small, but them continue to endure.
11 See! We fit talk say people wey don endure de happy.* Una don hear how Job endure, and see wetin Jehovah do for the end, say the love wey Jehovah get really deep* and e de show pity.
12 My brothers, e dey important make una stop to swear. Make una no use heaven, or earth, or any other thing swear. But make una “Yes” be yes and una “No” be no, so that God no go judge una.
13 E get any of una wey life de hard? Make e continue to pray. E get any of una wey de happy? Make e sing to praise God.
14 E get any of una wey de sick? Make e call the elders for the congregation and make them pray for-am. Make them rub-am oil with Jehovah name.
15 And the prayer wey them pray with faith go make the sick person* well and Jehovah go make-am strong. And if e be say e don commit any sin, God go forgive-am.
16 So, make una de confess una sin to each other, and de pray for each other so that una go well. The prayer wey righteous person pray with all im heart get power and de really help people.*
17 E·liʹjah na person like us,* but when e pray with all im heart say make rain no fall, rain no fall for the land for three years and six months.
18 Then e pray again, and rain fall from heaven and wetin them plant for ground come grow.
19 My brothers, if anybody make any of una comot from the truth, and another person make-am come back,
20 make una know say anybody wey help sinner stop the bad things wey e de do, go save-am* from death and God go forgive the sinner im plenty sin.
