10  “True-true, I de tell una say, the person wey no pass door enter the place wey them de keep sheep, but climb another place enter, na thief and robber.  But the person wey pass door enter, na the shepherd of the sheep.  The person wey de guard the door go open door for-am and the sheep go listen to im voice. E de call the names of im own sheep, then e go carry them comot.  When e don carry all im sheep come out, e go dey their front and the sheep go follow-am, because them know im voice.  Them no go ever follow stranger, but them go run from-am, because them no know the voice of strangers.”  Jesus use this example talk to them, but them no understand wetin e de tell them.  So Jesus tell them again say: “True-true, I de tell una say, na me be the door wey the sheep de pass.  All the people wey de come, de claim say them be me, na thief and robbers them be, but the sheep no listen to them.  Na me be the door. Them go save anybody wey pass me enter, and that person go enter inside and come out, and e go see better grass chop. 10  Thief no de come do another thing apart from to thief, to kill, and to destroy. I come so that them go get life and continue to dey alive.* 11  Na me be the better shepherd. The better shepherd de surrender im life* because of the sheep. 12  The person wey them hire, wey no be shepherd and wey be say no be e get the sheep, go see wolf* de come, and run leave the sheep, the wolf go come carry them and scatter them, 13  because na person wey them hire e be, and nothing concern-am concern the sheep. 14  Na me be the better shepherd. I know my sheep and my sheep know me, 15  just as my Papa know me and I know my Papa, and I de surrender my life* because of the sheep. 16  “And I get other sheep, wey no dey part of this group. I must bring them come too, and them go listen to my voice, and them go be one group of sheep wey one shepherd de control. 17  Na this one make my Papa love me, because I de surrender my life* so that I go get-am back. 18  Nobody de take-am from me, but na me de use my own mind surrender-am. I get the right to surrender-am and I get the right to get-am back. Na my Papa give me this commandment.” 19  The Jew people come start to argue with each other again because of wetin e talk. 20  Many of them de talk say: “Demon dey im body and im head no correct. Why una de listen to-am?” 21  Other people de talk say: “Person wey demon dey im body no de talk like this. Demon no fit open blind people eye, abi e fit?” 22  For that time, them de do the Festival of Dedication for Jerusalem. That time na cold season, 23  and Jesus de waka for the area of the temple wey them de call Solʹo·mon veranda. 24  Then Jew people come gather around-am and start to ask-am say: “How long we* go wait wey you no de tell us anything? If na you be the Christ, tell us make we know.” 25  Jesus come answer them say: “I don tell una, still, una no de believe. The things wey I de use my Papa name do, de talk about me. 26  But una no de believe, because una no be my sheep. 27  My sheep de listen to my voice, and I know them and them de follow me. 28  I de give them life wey no go end, and them no go ever destroy them, and nobody go take them comot from my hand. 29  Wetin my Papa don give me na something wey big pass every other thing, and nobody go fit take them comot from my Papa hand. 30  Me and my Papa na one.”* 31  The Jew people come carry stones again to stone-am. 32  Jesus come tell them say: “I don do many better work for una front wey my Papa send me make I do. Na which of this work una de stone me for?” 33  The Jew people come answer-am say: “No be because of better work wey you do we de stone you, but na because say you de talk against God. Because even though say you be man, you de claim say you be god.” 34  Jesus come answer them say: “Them no write this thing for una Law, say, ‘I talk say: “Una be gods”’?* 35  If God fit call people wey im word condemn, ‘gods,’ and still that one no fit make the word of God useless, 36  na me wey my Papa don choose to work for-am and wey e don send come this world, una de talk say, ‘You de talk against God,’ because I talk say ‘I be Son of God’? 37  If I no de do my Papa work, make una no believe me. 38  But if I de do the work, even though una no believe me, make una believe the work so that una go know and continue to know say, my Papa dey as one with me, and I dey as one with my Papa.” 39  So them try to catch-am again, but e escape, them no fit catch-am. 40  E come comot from there again, go the other side of Jordan, for the place wey John first de baptize people. E come stay there. 41  And many people come meet-am, and start to talk say: “John no do any single miracle, but all the things wey John talk about this man na true.” 42  And many people for there put faith for-am.
