John 13:1-38
13 Now Jesus know before the festival say the time wey e go leave this world go meet im Papa don reach, and because e love im disciples wey dey for the world, e love them reach the end.
2 For this time, them de chop the evening food, and Devil don already put-am for the heart of Judas Is·carʹi·ot, the son of Simon, say make e sell Jesus give im enemies.
3 So as Jesus know say im Papa don put everything for im hand, and say e come from God and de go back to God,
4 e stand up as them de chop the evening food, and comot the cloth wey e wear ontop keep for one side. Then e carry towel and tie-am for waist.
5 E come put water for basin and start to wash the leg of the disciples and de dry them with the towel wey e tie for waist.
6 Then e reach where Simon Peter dey. Simon Peter come ask-am say: “Lord, you want wash my leg?”
7 Jesus come answer-am say: “You no understand wetin I de do now, but you go understand after this things.”
8 Peter come tell-am say: “You no go ever wash my leg.” Jesus come answer-am say: “If I no wash your leg, me and you no get anything together.”
9 Then Simon Peter tell-am say: “Lord, wash even my hand and my head join, no be only my leg.”
10 Jesus come tell-am say: “Person wey don bath, na only im leg e need to wash, because e don clean finish. And una clean, but no be all of una.”
11 Because e know the person wey go sell-am give im enemies, na im make e talk say: “No be all of una clean.”
12 After e don wash their leg and wear the cloth wey e de wear ontop, e come sitdown for table again and ask them say: “Una understand wetin I do for una so?
13 Una de call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and una correct, because na wetin I be.
14 So, if me, wey be Lord and Teacher wash una leg, una suppose to* wash each other leg too.
15 Because I don show una example, so that just as I do for una, una go do like that too.

17 Since una don know this things, una go happy if una de do them.

22 The disciples come de look each other, because them no know who among them e de talk about.
23 One of the disciples, the one wey Jesus love, be sitdown near* Jesus.
24 So Simon Peter use eye tell this disciple say: “Tell us who e de talk about.”
25 So, that disciple come put im body for Jesus chest and ask-am say: “Lord, who be the person?”
26 Jesus come answer-am say: “Na the person wey I go give the bread wey I dip inside the plate.” So after e don dip the bread inside, e give-am to Judas wey be the son of Simon Is·carʹi·ot.
27 After Judas don collect the bread, Satan come enter-am, so Jesus tell-am say: “That thing wey you de do, make you do-am fast-fast.”
28 But among all of them wey sitdown for the table, nobody know why Jesus tell-am like that.
29 The truth be say, some of them be de think say since na Judas de hold the box wey them de keep money, Jesus de tell-am say, “Go buy wetin we need for the festival,” or say make e give some gift to poor people.
30 So after e don collect the bread, e comot quick-quick, and that time na night.
31 So when e don comot, Jesus come talk say: “Now, them don honor the Son of man and them don honor God because of-am.
32 God imself go honor-am* and e no go waste time to honor-am.
33 My small children, na small time remain wey I go dey with una. Una go find me and just as I tell the Jew people say, ‘Una no fit come where I de go,’ na so I de tell una now too.
34 I de give una new commandment, say make una love each other just as I love una, make una love each other too.

36 Simon Peter come ask-am say: “Lord, where you de go?” Jesus come answer-am say: “You no fit follow me go where I de go now, but you go follow me later.”
37 Peter come tell-am say: “Lord, why I no fit follow you now? I go surrender my life* because of you.”
38 Jesus come tell-am say: “You go surrender your life* because of me? True-true I de tell you say, cock no go ever crow until you don deny me three times.”
