  • Jesus arrange who go take care of im mama (25-27)

  • Jesus die (28-37)

  • Them bury Jesus (38-42)

19  Then Pilate come talk say make them take Jesus and flog-am.  The soldiers come use chuku-chuku make one crown and put-am for im head, and wear-am purple cloth,  and them de come meet-am de talk say: “We greet* you, you wey be King of Jew people!” And them just de slap-am for face.  Then Pilate go outside again and tell the people say: “See! I de bring-am come outside for una so that una go know say I no see any bad thing wey e do.”  So Jesus come outside and e wear the crown wey them use chuku-chuku make with the purple cloth. Pilate come tell them say: “Make una see the man!”  But, when the chief priests and the officers see-am, them come shout say: “Go kill-am for pole! Go kill-am for pole!” Pilate come tell them say: “Make una carry-am go kill-am* by unaself, because I no see any bad thing wey e do.”  The Jew people come tell-am say: “We get one law, and as the law talk, e suppose die because e de claim say e be son of God.”  When Pilate hear wetin them de talk, fear come catch-am pass before,  e come enter im house* again and ask Jesus say: “Where you come from?” But Jesus no answer-am. 10  So Pilate ask-am say: “You no want answer me? You no know say I get the power to release you and the power to kill you?”* 11  Jesus come answer-am say: “You for no get any authority to do me anything if to say them no give you from heaven. Na im make the sin of the person wey carry me put for your hand pass your own.” 12  Because of this one, Pilate come de find how e go take release-am but the Jew people de shout say: “If you release this man, you no be Caesar friend. Anybody wey de claim say e be king de talk against* Caesar.” 13  Then after Pilate hear this things wey them talk, e carry Jesus come out, e come sitdown for judgment seat wey dey one place wey them de call Stone Floor, but for Hebrew, them de call-am Gabʹba·tha. 14  That day, na the day wey them de prepare for Passover and na around the sixth hour.* E come tell the Jew people say: “Make una see una king!” 15  But them shout say: “Carry-am comot! Carry-am comot! Go kill-am for pole!” Pilate come ask them say: “Make I kill una king?” The chief priests come answer say: “We no get any king apart from Caesar.” 16  Then e carry-am give them say make them go kill-am for pole. So them carry Jesus comot. 17  As Jesus carry the torture pole* by imself, e go the place wey them de call Skull Place. For Hebrew language, them de call-am Golʹgo·tha. 18  Them come nail-am to the pole with two other men. One person for im left, one for im right, and Jesus dey middle. 19  Pilate still write one title put for the torture pole.* E write say: “Jesus wey come from Naz·a·reth, the King of Jew people.” 20  Many of the Jew people read this title, because the place wey them nail Jesus for pole near the city, and them write the title for Hebrew, Latin and Greek language. 21  But the chief priests of the Jew people tell Pilate say: “Make you no write, ‘The King of Jew People,’ but say e talk say, ‘I be King of Jew People.’” 22  Pilate come answer them say: “Wetin I write, I don write-am.” 23  Now when the soldiers don nail Jesus for pole, them carry im cloths wey e wear ontop and divide them into four parts, each soldier come collect one. Them still carry the cloth wey e wear inside. But the cloth wey e wear inside no get where them take join-am together. Them weave-am from up reach down. 24  So them tell each other say: “Make we no tear-am, instead, make we cast lots to decide who go collect-am.” This one na to make wetin the word of God talk happen say: “Them divide my cloths among theirself and them cast lots to collect my cloth.” The soldiers really do this things. 25  But Jesus mama and im mama sister; Mary wey be Cloʹpas wife and Mary Magʹda·lene be stand near the torture pole* wey them nail Jesus put. 26  So when Jesus see im mama and the disciple wey e love wey stand near there, e come tell im mama say: “Woman, see your son!” 27  Then e tell the disciple say: “See your mama!” And from that time go, the disciple come carry the mama go im own house. 28  After this one, as Jesus know say by now, everything don complete, so that wetin them talk for the word of God go happen, e come talk say: “Water de hungry me.” 29  One container be dey there wey sour wine full inside, so them take sponge, soak-am for the sour wine, put-am ontop hyssop* stick, them come stretch-am put for im mouth. 30  When Jesus taste the sour wine, e come talk say: “Everything don complete!” Then e bend im head down and stop to breathe.* 31  Since that day na Preparation day, the Jew people go tell Pilate say make them break the people leg and carry their body comot, so that their body no go dey for the torture pole for the Sabbath day (because that Sabbath day na special one). 32  So the soldiers come break the two leg of the first man and the two leg of the other man wey dey for torture pole with-am. 33  But when them come where Jesus dey, them see say e don already die, so them no break im legs. 34  But one of the soldiers use spear chuk the side of im body. At once, blood and water come out. 35  Na the person wey see wetin happen na im talk this things, wetin e talk na true and e know say the things wey e de talk na true so that una go believe too. 36  The truth be say all this things happen so that wetin the word of God talk go happen say: “Them no go break* any of im bone.” 37  And another place for the word of God talk say: “Them go look the person wey them chuk.” 38  After this things don happen, Joseph wey come from Ar·i·ma·theʹa, wey be one of Jesus disciple, but wey no let people know say e be im disciple because say e de fear the Jew people, come meet Pilate, and tell-am say make e allow-am carry Jesus body comot, and Pilate gree for-am. So e come carry the body comot. 39  Nic·o·deʹmus, the man wey be don come meet-am for night the first time, come too. E bring myrrh and aloes wey them mix together,* wey heavy reach about 100 pounds.* 40  So them carry Jesus body and use linen cloth with things wey get better scent wrap-am as Jew people de normally do when them de bury person. 41  E come happen say one garden dey the place wey them kill-am* and one new grave* dey the garden wey them never bury anybody put before. 42  Because that day na Preparation day for Jew people and the grave near there, them come carry Jesus body put for there.
