John 7:1-52
7 After this one, Jesus continue to travel* go different-different place for Galʹi·lee because e no want do like that for Ju·deʹa as e be say Jew people de find how them go kill-am.

6 So Jesus tell them say: “My time never reach, but na any time be una own time.

8 Make una de go the festival, I never de go this festival now, because my time never reach finish.”
9 So after e tell them this things, e stay for Galʹi·lee.
10 But after im brothers don go, e go the festival too, but e hide go, e no do make people see-am.
11 So the Jew people start to find-am for the festival, de ask say: “Where that man dey?”
12 And the plenty people de talk small-small about-am among theirself. Some de talk say: “Na better person e be.” But other people de talk say: “No be better person. E de deceive people.”
13 But nobody de talk about-am for public, because them de fear the Jew people.
14 When them don do the festival reach half, Jesus come enter the temple and start to teach.
15 And the Jew people surprise no be small, them come de ask say: “How this man take know the Word of God* like this, when e no go the schools* go learn?”
16 Then Jesus answer them say: “Wetin I de teach no be my own, but na the Person wey send me get-am.
17 If anybody want do wetin God want, e go know whether the things wey I de teach na from God or na my own I de talk.
18 Anybody wey de talk im own na person wey want make them de praise-am, but anybody wey de do wetin go make people praise the person wey send-am, na person wey de talk true, and e no de do bad.
19 Moses give una the Law, no be so? But nobody among una de obey the Law. Why una want kill me?”

21 Jesus come answer them say: “Na only one thing I do, all of una come de surprise.

30 So them start to find how them go take catch-am, but nobody hold-am, because im time never reach.
31 But many people put faith for-am and them de talk say: “When the Christ go come, e no go do miracles wey pass the ones wey this man don do, abi e go do pass like that?”
32 As the plenty people de talk this things small-small about-am, the Pharisee people come hear, so the chief priests and the Pharisee people come send officers say make them go catch-am.*
33 Then Jesus talk say: “I go still dey with una small before I go go meet the Person wey send me.
34 Una go find me but una no go see me, and una no go fit come where I dey.”
35 So, the Jew people come de talk among theirself say: “Where this man want go wey we no go see-am? Abi e want go meet the Jew people wey dey among the Greek people for different-different place, so that e go teach the Greek people?
36 Wetin e mean when e talk say, ‘Una go find me but una no go see me, and una no go fit come where I dey’?”
37 For the last day, wey be the day wey dey important pass for the festival, Jesus come stand up and talk with loud voice say: “If water de hungry anybody, make e come meet me and drink water.
38 Anybody wey put faith for me, just as the word of God don talk: ‘Rivers of water wey de give life go de flow come out from inside-inside the person.’”
39 But e talk this one about the spirit wey people wey put faith for-am go soon receive, because that time, them never give people that spirit, as e be say them never give Jesus im high position.
40 Some of the plenty people wey hear wetin e talk come de talk say: “True-true, na the Prophet be this.”
41 Other people de talk say: “Na the Christ be this.” But other ones still de talk say: “No be Galʹi·lee the Christ go come from, abi na there?”

45 Then the officers go back go meet the chief priests and the Pharisee people. The Pharisee people come ask them say: “Why una no bring-am come?”
46 The officers come answer them say: “No man don ever talk like this before.”
47 The Pharisee people come ask them say: “Abi the man don deceive una too?
48 Nobody among the people wey de rule or among the Pharisee people don put faith for-am, abi any one dey?
49 But this plenty people wey no know the Law, na people wey them don curse.”
50 Nic·o·deʹmus, wey be don come meet-am before and wey be one of them come ask them say:

52 Them come answer-am say: “Na Galʹi·lee you come from too? Go check, you go see say them no talk-am for anywhere say one prophet go come from Galʹi·lee.”*
