5 Then, them reach the other side of the sea, for Ger′a·sa people area.
2 And as Jesus just come down from the boat, one man wey wicked spirit* dey im body come out from where them de bury people, come meet-am.
3 Na around the grave them e de stay well-well, and until that time, nobody don fit really tie-am down, even with chain.
4 Plenty times, them don use chains tie-am, but e go cut the chains; and nobody get the power to hold-am.
5 And e de always de shout, day and night, for where the grave them dey and for mountains and de cut imself with stones.
6 But as e see Jesus de come from far, e run go meet-am and bow down for-am.
7 Then e shout with loud voice say: “Wetin concern me and you, Jesus, Son of the God Wey High Pass? I want make you use God swear say you no go punish me.”
8 Because Jesus don de tell-am say: “Come out from the man, you wicked spirit.”
9 But Jesus ask-am say: “Wetin be your name? And e talk say: “My name na Legion, because we plenty.”
10 And e continue to beg Jesus say make e no send the spirits comot from the country.
11 That time, plenty-plenty pig be dey the mountain de chop.
12 So the spirits come de beg-am say: “Pursue us go where the pigs dey, so that we go enter inside them.”
13 E come allow them. So the wicked spirits come out and enter inside the pigs, and all the pigs rush go the edge of the mountain, fall inside sea, about 2,000 pigs, and all of them die inside the sea.
14 But the people wey de care for the pigs run go tell people about-am for the city and for all the area wey dey around the city. And people come to see wetin happen.
15 So them come meet Jesus and see the man wey plenty demons be dey im body. E wear cloth and sitdown, and im head don correct. So fear catch them.
16 And the people wey see wetin happen tell them how this thing take happen to the man wey demon be dey im body and the pigs.
17 So them start to beg Jesus make e comot from their area.
18 Now, as e de enter the boat, the man wey the demon be dey im body come de beg-am say e want follow-am.
19 But e no gree for-am, but e tell-am say: “Go meet your family people and tell them everything wey Jehovah don do for you and as e don pity you.”
20 So this man come go and start to tell people for De·cap′o·lis* all the things wey Jesus do for-am. And all the people surprise.
21 After Jesus don use boat cross go the other side of the sea again, plenty-plenty people gather come meet-am, as e still dey near the sea.
22 Then one of the leaders for synagogue, wey im name na Ja′i·rus, come. And as e see Jesus, e kneel down for im front.
23 E beg-am plenty times, de talk say: “My small daughter de sick well-well. Abeg come make you put your hand ontop-am so that e go well and dey alive.”
24 So Jesus come follow-am, and plenty-plenty people still follow Jesus, de push-am and de tight-am.
25 And e get one woman wey get one sickness wey make blood de comot from im body for 12 years.
26 And e don suffer well-well for many doctors hand,* and e don spend all im money, but e no still well, instead im condition don even worse.
27 When e hear the things wey people de talk about Jesus, e come from back, where the plenty people dey, and touch the cloth wey Jesus wear ontop,
28 because e be de tell imself say: “If I fit just touch the cloths wey e wear ontop, I go well.”
29 At once, the blood just dry, and e come feel-am for im body say this im serious sickness don go.
30 Quick-quick, Jesus feel-am say power comot from im body, so e come turn as e dey the middle of the plenty people and ask say: “Who touch the cloths wey I wear ontop?”
31 But im disciples come tell-am say: “You de see say plenty people de push and de tight you, and you de ask say, ‘Who touch me?’”
32 But e just de look round to see who touch-am.
33 As the woman know wetin don happen to-am, e come de fear and de shake. So e come kneel down for im front and tell-am the whole truth.
34 Jesus come tell-am say: “My pikin, your faith don make you well. Go, make e better for you,* and make that serious sickness no disturb you again.”
35 As e still de talk, some people wey come from the house of the leader of the synagogue come and talk say: “Your daughter don die! No worry the Teacher again.”
36 But Jesus hear wetin them talk and e tell the leader of the synagogue say: “Make you no fear,* just get faith.”
37 Now, Jesus no let anybody follow-am, apart from Peter, James, and John wey be the brother of James.
38 So them reach the house of the leader of the synagogue, and e see say noise full everywhere, people de cry and de shout.
39 After e enter, e ask them say: “Why una de cry and de make noise like this? The pikin never die, na sleep e de sleep.”
40 When them hear this one, them come start to laugh, de use-am do yeye. But after e don tell all of them to go outside, e enter where the pikin dey with the pikin papa and mama and the people wey dey with-am.
