8  For that time, plenty people be gather again, and them no get anything wey them go chop. So e call im disciples and tell them say:  “I de pity for all this people, because e don reach three days wey them dey here with me, and them no get anything wey them go chop.  If I tell them make them go their house as them de hungry* so, them go faint for road, and some of them come from far place.”  But im disciples answer-am say: “Where anybody fit see bread wey go belleful this people, for this place wey people no dey?”  So e ask them say: “How many bread una get?” Them talk say: “Seven.”  And e tell the plenty people to sitdown for ground. Then e collect the seven bread, thank God, break them, and start to give im disciples to share-am, and them share-am give the plenty people.  Them still get small-small fish wey no too plenty, and after e don bless-am, e tell them say make them share this one too.  So them chop belleful, and them gather the pieces wey remain, and e full seven big baskets.  Na about 4,000 men dey there. Then e tell them say make them de go. 10  Quick-quick, e enter the boat with im disciples, and them enter the area of Dal·ma·nu′tha. 11  The Pharisee people come meet-am for here, and them start to follow-am argue. To test-am, them tell-am say make e show them one sign from heaven. 12  This one really make Jesus feel pain for im heart and e talk say: “Why this generation de find sign? True-true I de talk say, them no go show this generation any sign.” 13  As e talk that one finish, e comot leave them, enter the boat again and go the other side of the sea. 14  But them forget to carry bread as them de go, and them no get anything for the boat except only one bread. 15  And e give them serious warning say: “Make una open una eye well; make una dey careful because of the yeast of the Pharisee people and the yeast of Herod.” 16  So them start to argue with each other because of bread wey them no get. 17  As e see this one, e tell them say: “Why una de argue because una no get bread? Una never still know wetin I de tell una and understand? E still de hard una to understand for una heart? 18  Even though say una get eyes, una no de see? And even though say una get ear, una no de hear? Una no remember 19  when I break the five bread for the 5,000 men, how many full baskets una gather from the pieces wey remain?” Them tell-am say: “Na twelve.” 20  “When I break the seven bread for the 4,000 men, how many big baskets wey full, una gather from the pieces wey remain?” And them tell-am say: “Na seven.” 21  So e tell them say: “Una never still understand?” 22  Now them come stop for Beth·sa′i·da. For here, people bring one blind man come meet-am, and them beg-am say make e touch the man. 23  So e hold the blind man hand and e carry-am go outside the village. After e don spit for the man eyes, e put im hand ontop the man and ask the man say: “You de see anything?” 24  The man look up and talk say: “I de see people, but them be like trees wey de waka up and down.” 25  Then e put im hand for the man eyes again and the man start to see well. E eye open well and e fit see everything as them be. 26  So e tell-am make e de go house, and e still tell-am say: “No enter the village.” 27  Jesus and im disciples come comot from there go the village them for Caes·a·re′a Phi·lip′pi, and as them de go, e start to ask im disciples say: “Who people de talk say I be?” 28  Them tell-am say: “John the Baptist, but other people say E·li′jah, and other people de talk say one of the prophets.” 29  E come ask them say: “What of una, who una de talk say I be?” Peter come answer-am say: “Na you be the Christ.” 30  So e come warn them well-well say make them no tell anybody about who e be. 31  E still start to teach them say the Son of man must suffer well-well, and the elders, chief priests and the scribes* go reject-am and kill-am, and for the third day, e go come back to life. 32  True-true, e talk this one make all of them fit hear, but Peter take-am go one corner and start to quarrel with-am. 33  Then Jesus turn, look im disciples, and give Peter strong correction. E talk say: “Comot from my front Satan! because you de think the way people de think, no be the way God de think.” 34  Then e call the plenty people and im disciples near body and tell them say: “If anybody want follow me, make e deny imself and carry im torture pole* and continue to follow me. 35  Because anybody wey de try to save im life go lose-am, but anybody wey lose im life because of me, and because of the good news, go get-am back. 36  True-true, wetin person go gain if e get all the things wey dey the world but e come lose im life?* 37  Wetin person fit really give to fit get im life* back? 38  Because anybody wey de shame because of me and because of the things wey I talk, for this generation wey don leave God* and wey de sin, the Son of man go still shame because of-am when e come with the glory of im Papa and with the holy angels.
