Matthew 10:1-42
10 So e call im 12 disciples, and give them power to pursue wicked spirits comot and to cure every kind of disease and every kind of sickness.
2 Na the names of the 12 apostles be this: The first one na Simon, wey them still de call Peter, and Andrew im brother; James the son of Zeb′e·dee and John im brother;
3 Philip and Bar·thol′o·mew; Thomas and Matthew wey de collect tax; James the son of Al·phae′us; and Thad·dae′us;
4 Simon wey be Ca·na·nae′an;* and Judas Is·car′i·ot, wey later sell Jesus give im enemies.
5 Na this 12 men Jesus send go preach, and e tell them say: “Make una no enter the area wey people wey no be Jew dey, and make una no enter any city for Sa·mar′i·a.
6 Instead, make una continue to go meet the people wey be like sheep wey don lost for the house of Israel.
7 As una de go, make una de preach say: ‘The Kingdom wey dey heaven don near.’
8 Cure sick people, bring people wey don die back to life, cure people wey get leprosy, pursue demons comot. Na free them give una, make una give free.
9 Make una no put gold or silver or copper inside una money bag,*
10 or carry food bag as una de go, or two cloth,* or sandals, or stick wey them de hold for hand, because them suppose give the person wey de work food.
11 “When una enter any city or village, make una look for person wey go welcome una well, and make una stay there until una comot.
12 When una enter the house, make una greet the people wey dey the house.
13 If them welcome una well for the house, make the peace wey una want for them, dey with them. But if them no welcome una well, make una peace come back to una.
14 For any place wey anybody no welcome una or listen to wetin una de talk, when una de comot from that house or that city, make una shake the dust wey dey una leg comot.
15 True-true, I de tell una say, for Judgment Day, e go easy for the land of Sod′om and Go·mor′rah pass that city.
16 “See! I de send una go, like sheep wey dey among wolf* them, so make una show say una get sense like snake, but dey innocent like doves.
17 Make una dey careful because people go carry una go their courts, and them go flog una for their synagogues.
18 And them go carry una go front of governors and kings because of me, so that una go tell them and people from other nations wetin una believe.
19 But when them carry una go, make una no too worry about wetin una go talk or how una go talk-am, because God go give una wetin una go talk that very time.
20 Because no be just una de talk, but na the spirit of una Papa wey dey heaven de help una talk.
21 Another thing be say, brother go bring brother come make them kill-am, and papa go bring im pikin come, and children go stand up and dey against their papa and mama, and them go make people kill them.
22 And everybody go hate una because of my name, but the person wey don endure* reach the end, them go save-am.
23 When them suffer una for one city, make una run go another one, because true-true, I de tell una say, una no go fit go round all the cities of Israel, before the Son of man go come.
24 “Student no de high pass im teacher, and slave no de high pass im oga.
25 If the student be like im teacher, and the slave be like im oga, that one reach. If people call the oga of the house Be·el′ze·bub,* na people for im house them no go call like that?
26 So make una no fear them, because e no get anything wey them cover wey no go open, and e no get any secret wey people no go later know.
27 Wetin I tell una for darkness, make una talk-am for light. Wetin I talk small-small for una ear, make una announce-am ontop house.
28 And make una no fear people wey fit kill only body, but no fit kill the soul.* Instead, make una fear the person wey fit destroy the soul and body for Ge·hen′na.*
29 People de sell two sparrow* for one coin wey get small value, no be so? Still, no one of them go fall for ground wey una Papa for heaven no go know.
30 As for una, e even know the number of hair wey dey una head.
31 So make una no fear, una get value pass plenty sparrow.
32 “So, everybody wey talk for front of people say e know me, I go still talk for front of my Papa wey dey heaven say I know-am.
33 But anybody wey talk for front of people say e no know me, I go still talk for front of my Papa wey dey heaven say I no know-am.
34 Make una no think say I come to make peace dey for the earth. Na sword I come bring, no be peace.
35 I come scatter family, to make son dey against im papa, to make daughter dey against im mama, and to make wife dey against im husband mama.
36 True-true, person enemies go be people from im own family.
37 Anybody wey love im papa or mama pass me, no reach to be my disciple, and anybody wey love im son or daughter pass me, no reach to be my disciple.
38 And anybody wey no want carry im torture pole* make e follow me, no reach to be my disciple.
39 Anybody wey de try to save im life,* go lose-am. But anybody wey lose im life* because of me, go get-am back.
40 “Anybody wey welcome una don welcome me too, and anybody wey welcome me, don welcome the Person wey send me too.
41 Anybody wey welcome prophet because na prophet e be, go get blessing wey prophet de get, and anybody wey welcome righteous man because na righteous man e be, go get blessing wey righteous man de get.
42 And anybody wey give one of this small ones even one cup of cold water, say make e drink because e be my disciple, true-true, I de tell una say e no go ever lose im blessing.”
