Matthew 4:1-25

4  Then the spirit lead Jesus go the wilderness, and Devil tempt-am for there.  After e don fast for 40 days and 40 nights, e start to hungry.  Then, Devil come meet-am to tempt-am. E tell-am say: “If you be son of God, tell this stones make them turn to bread.”  But e answer-am say: “Them write-am say: ‘No be only bread go make person dey alive, but na every word wey come from Jehovah mouth.’”  Then Devil come carry-am enter the holy city, e come make-am stand for the place wey high pass* for the temple  and tell-am say: “If you be son of God, jump down. Because them write-am say: ‘E go give im angels command about you,’ and, ‘Them go carry you for their hand so that you no go nack leg for any stone.’”  Jesus come tell-am say: “Them still write-am say: ‘Make you no ever test Jehovah your God.’”  Devil come still carry-am go one mountain wey high well-well, and show-am all the kingdoms for the world and the better things inside them.  E come tell-am say: “I go give you all this things if you bow down and worship me.”* 10  Then Jesus come tell-am say: “Comot from here Satan! Because them write-am say: ‘Na Jehovah your God you must worship, and na only-am you must do holy work for.’” 11  So Devil come leave-am, then the angels come, and start to care for-am. 12  But when e hear say them don arrest John, e comot from there enter Gal′i·lee. 13  Then after e comot from Naz′a·reth, e come start to live for Ca·per′na·um wey dey near the sea for Zeb′u·lun and Naph′ta·li area, 14  so that wetin Isaiah the prophet talk go happen, wey talk say: 15  “O people wey dey the land of Zeb′u·lun and the land of Naph′ta·li, wey dey the road wey them de pass go the sea for the other side of Jordan, wey be Gal′i·lee wey people wey no be Jew de stay! 16  The people wey sitdown for darkness don see bright light, and as for people wey dey the area wey death cover like shadow, light don shine ontop them.” 17  Jesus come start to preach from that time and de talk say: “Make una repent, because the Kingdom wey dey heaven don near.” 18  As e de waka near the Sea of Gal′i·lee, e come see two brothers, one of them na Simon, wey them de call Peter and Andrew im brother. Them de throw net inside sea because them be fishermen. 19  And e tell them say: “Make una come follow me, and I go make una fishers of men.” 20  Na so them just leave their nets and follow-am. 21  As e comot from there, e see two other people wey be brothers, James wey be son of Zeb′e·dee, and im brother John. Them dey inside boat with Zeb′e·dee their papa, de repair their nets, and e call them. 22  Them no waste time, them just leave the boat and their papa, and follow-am. 23  Then e waka round the whole Gal′i·lee, de teach people for their synagogue and de preach the good news of the Kingdom, and de cure all kind of disease and all kind of sickness wey the people get. 24  The news about-am come spread for the whole Syria, people come start to bring all the people wey de suffer because of different-different sickness, and the ones wey get serious pain, and people wey demon dey their body and people wey get epilepsy, and the ones wey no fit move their body, and e cure them. 25  Because of this one, plenty-plenty people wey come from Gal′i·lee and De·cap′o·lis* and Jerusalem and Ju·de′a and from the other side of Jordan, come start to follow-am.
