Revelation 10:1-11

  • One strong angel wey hold one small scroll (1-7)

    • “Delay no go dey again” (6)

    • The holy secret go happen complete (7)

  • John chop the small scroll (8-11)

10  And I see another strong angel wey de come down from heaven, and e wear cloud* like cloth, rainbow dey im head, im face be like sun, and im leg* be like pillars of fire,  and one small scroll wey them don open dey im hand, and e put im right leg ontop the sea, but e left leg dey ontop the earth.  And e shout with loud voice, just like lion wey de make loud noise. And when e shout, I hear the voice of seven thunders.  Now, when the seven thunders talk, I be want write wetin them talk, but I hear one voice from heaven wey talk say: “Keep the things wey the seven thunders talk secret, make you no write them down.”  The angel wey I see wey stand ontop the sea and ontop the earth come raise im right hand go heaven,  and e swear with the name of the Person wey de live forever and ever, wey make the heaven and the things wey dey inside, the earth and the things wey dey inside, the sea and the things wey dey inside. E talk say: “Delay no go dey again.  But for the days when the seventh angel go don ready to blow im trumpet, the holy secret wey God tell im own slaves the prophets as good news, go really happen complete.”  And I hear the voice from heaven as e de talk with me again. E talk say: “Go take the scroll wey them don open wey dey the hand of the angel wey stand ontop the sea and ontop the earth.”  I come go meet the angel and tell-am say make e give me the small scroll. E come tell me say: “Take-am make you chop-am, and e go make your belle bitter, but e go sweet for your mouth like honey.” 10  And I collect the small scroll from the angel hand and chop-am and for my mouth, e sweet like honey, but when I don chop-am, e make my belle bitter. 11  And them tell me say: “You must talk God message again about people, nations and different-different language,* and many kings.”
