Revelation 17:1-18
17 Then one of the seven angels wey hold the seven bowls come, and tell me say: “Come, I go show you the punishment wey them go give the great prostitute wey sitdown ontop plenty water,
2 wey the kings of the earth don follow do sex wey no clean* and the wine of im sex wey no clean* don make the people wey de live for the earth dey drunk.”
3 The angel come use the power of the spirit carry me go one wilderness and I see one woman wey sitdown ontop one big wicked animal wey get red color,* wey names wey them de use talk against God full im body, and wey get seven heads and ten horns.
4 The woman wear cloth wey get purple and red color, and e make imself fine with gold and fine-fine stones and pearls,* and e hold one gold cup wey yama-yama* things and dirty things of im sex wey no clean* full inside.
5 Them write one name for front of im head wey nobody fit understand, say: “Babylon the Great, the mama of prostitutes and of the useless dirty things for the earth.”
6 And I see say the blood of the holy ones and the blood of the people wey de talk the truth about Jesus wey the woman drink, don make-am dey drunk.
When I see the woman, I surprise no be small.
7 So the angel tell me say: “Why you surprise? I go tell you wetin nobody fit understand about the woman and about the big wicked animal wey de carry-am and wey get seven heads and ten horns:
8 The big wicked animal wey you see, be dey, but e no dey again, and still, small time e go come out from the abyss,* and e go face destruction. And the people wey de live for the earth, wey them no write their name for the scroll of life, from the time wey the world start, go really surprise when them see how the big wicked animal be dey, but e no dey again, and still e go come back.
9 “Person need to get sense to fit understand this one say: The seven heads mean seven mountains wey the woman sitdown ontop.
10 And seven kings dey: Five don fall, one dey, and the other one never come, but when e come, na small time e must stay.
11 And the big wicked animal wey be dey, but wey no dey again, na the number eight king, but na from the seven kings e come out, and e go face destruction.
12 “The ten horns wey you see mean ten kings wey never receive kingdom, but them receive power to rule as kings for one hour with the big wicked animal.
13 Na one thing this kings get for mind, so them give their power and authority to the big wicked animal.
14 Them go fight with the Lamb, but because the Lamb na Lord of lords and King of kings, e go win them. And the people wey dey with-am wey them don call and choose and wey dey faithful, go win too.”
15 E tell me say: “The water them wey you see, wey the prostitute sitdown ontop, mean different-different kind of people, and plenty people, and nations and different-different language.
16 The ten horns wey you see and the big wicked animal go hate the prostitute and them go collect everything wey e get and naked-am and them go chop im body and them go use fire burn-am kpatakpata.
17 Because God put-am for their heart to do wetin dey im mind, yes, to do the one thing wey them get for mind wey be, to give their kingdom to the big wicked animal, until the things wey God talk go don happen finish.
18 And the woman wey you see mean the great city wey de rule the kings of the earth.”
