Revelation 8:1-13

  • E open the seventh seal (1-6)

  • Them blow the first four trumpets (7-12)

  • Them announce three troubles (13)

8  When e open the seventh seal, everywhere quiet for heaven for like half hour.  And I see the seven angels wey stand for God front, and them give them seven trumpets.  Then another angel wey hold gold incense container come, and stand near the altar. Them come give-am plenty incense to burn ontop the gold altar wey dey for front of the throne, as all the holy ones de pray.  The smoke of the incense wey dey the hand of the angel and the prayer of the holy ones come de go up go meet God.  But at once, the angel carry the incense container and full-am with some of the fire from the altar and pour-am for the earth. Then thunder come de strike with thunder light and ground shake open. And I still hear different-different voice.  The seven angels wey hold the seven trumpets come ready to blow them.  The first one blow im trumpet. And ice block and fire wey mix with blood come out, and them pour-am for the earth. And out of three parts of the earth, one part burn, and out of three parts of the trees, one part burn, and all the green grass burn.  The second angel blow im trumpet and them throw something wey be like big mountain wey de burn with fire put for the sea, and out of three parts of the sea, one part come be blood.  And out of three parts of the things wey dey alive* for the sea, one part die, and out of three parts of the ships, one part scatter. 10  The third angel blow im trumpet. And one big star wey bright like lamp fall from heaven and e fall ontop one part out of three parts of the rivers and ontop the different-different place* wey water de come from. 11  The name of the star na Bitterplant.* And e make one part out of three parts of the water bitter like bitterplant, and the water kill many people because e don de bitter. 12  The fourth angel blow im trumpet. Something come affect one part out of three parts of the sun, and one part out of three parts of the moon and one part out of three parts of the stars. So that one part out of three parts of them go dey dark, and so that light no go dey for one part out of three parts for day time and for night too. 13  Then I see one eagle wey de fly for up, and I hear-am de talk with loud voice say: “Trouble, trouble, trouble go dey for the people wey de live for the earth because of the other trumpet sounds wey them go hear, as the three angels go soon blow their trumpets!”
