  • The fifth trumpet (1-11)

  • One trouble don pass, two more de come (12)

  • The sixth trumpet (13-21)

9  The fifth angel blow im trumpet and I see one star wey don fall from heaven come earth, and them give-am the key of the place wey them take de enter the abyss.*  E come open the place wey them take de enter the abyss,* and smoke come out from the place like smoke of fire wey de burn well-well. The smoke wey de come out from the place come make the sun and the air black.  And locusts come out from the smoke enter the earth, them come give them authority, the same authority wey the scorpions wey dey the earth get.  Them tell them say make them no do anything to the grass for the earth, or any green plant or any tree, but na only the people wey no get the seal of God for front of their head them go attack.  And them no allow the locusts to kill them, but to give them serious pain for five months and their pain be like the pain wey person de feel when scorpion bite-am.  And for that time, people go de find death, but them no go ever see-am, and them go want die, but death go run from them.  When you see the locusts, them resemble horse wey don ready to go fight, and something wey be like crowns of gold dey their head, and their face be like people face,  but their hair be like women hair. And their teeth be like lion teeth,  and wetin them wear to protect their chest be like wetin them use iron make. And the sound of their wings be like the sound of chariots wey horse de draw, wey de run go fight war. 10  And them still get tails. For their tails, them get wetin fit bite person like scorpion, and the power wey them get to wound the people for five months, dey their tails. 11  And them get one king wey de rule them, wey be the angel of the abyss.* For Hebrew language, im name na A·badʹdon,* but for Greek language, im name na A·polʹlyon.* 12  One trouble don pass. See! Two more trouble de come after this things don happen. 13  The sixth angel blow im trumpet. And I hear one voice wey come out from the horns of the gold altar wey dey the front of God 14  as e de tell the sixth angel wey hold the trumpet say: “Loose the four angels wey them tie for the big Eu·phraʹtes river.” 15  And them loose the four angels, wey them don prepare for the hour, the day, the month and year, make them fit kill one part out of three parts of the people. 16  The number of the soldiers wey dey ontop horse na 20 thousand times 10 thousand.* I hear how them plenty reach. 17  And na like this I see the horse them for the vision, and the people wey sitdown ontop them: Wetin them wear to protect their chest de red like fire, blue like hyacinth plant, and yellow like sulfur. And the heads of the horse them be like the heads of lions, and fire, smoke, and sulfur come out from their mouth. 18  Na this three bad things, wey be, the fire, the smoke, and the sulfur wey come from their mouth, kill one part out of three parts of the people. 19  Because the power of the horse them dey their mouth and their tail, because their tails be like snake and them get head, and na this things them de use wound people. 20  But the rest of the people wey this three bad things no kill, no gree repent from the things wey them use their hand make. Them no stop to worship the demons and the idols wey them make with gold, silver, copper, stone and wood, wey no fit see, hear or waka. 21  And them no repent and stop to kill people, stop to do things with demons, stop to do sex wey no clean,* and stop to thief.
