Romans 14:1-23
14 Make una de welcome person wey im faith weak, but make una no de judge the person just because e get different ideas.*
2 One person get faith to chop everything, but the person wey dey weak de chop only vegetable.
3 Make the person wey de chop no see the person wey no de chop as nothing, and make the person wey no de chop no judge the person wey de chop, because God don welcome that person.
4 Who you be to judge the servant of another person? Na im own oga* go decide whether the person stand or fall. True-true, e go stand because Jehovah go fit make-am stand.
5 One person de see* one day as special pass other days, another person de see one day the same as all the other days. Make each person really dey sure for im own mind.
6 The person wey de see one day as special de do-am for Jehovah. Another thing be say, the person wey de chop de chop for Jehovah, because e de thank God. And the person wey no de chop, no de chop for Jehovah, and even with that one, e de thank God.
7 True-true, nobody among us de live for only imself, and nobody de die for only imself.
8 If we live, we de live for Jehovah and if we die, we de die for Jehovah. So whether we live or we die, na Jehovah get us.
9 Because of this one, Christ die and come back to life again, so that e fit be Lord for people wey don die and people wey dey alive.
10 But why you de judge your brother? Or why you still de see your brother as nothing? All of us go stand for front of the judgment seat of God.
11 Because them don write-am say: “Jehovah talk say, ‘True-true as I dey alive, every knee go bend for me, and every tongue go talk for open say I be God.’”
12 So, each of us go answer God for wetin we do.
13 So, make we no de judge each other again. Instead, make we make up our mind say we no go do anything wey go make the faith of our brother weak* or wey go make our brother fall.
14 I know and I really dey sure as person wey de follow the Lord Jesus say, nothing dirty by imself. Na only when person see something as dirty thing, the thing go dirty for the person.
15 Because if na food de make your brother vex, you no de show love again. Make you no destroy that person wey Christ die for because of your food.
16 So, no give chance for people to talk about the good wey una de do like say na bad.
17 The Kingdom of God no be about to chop and to drink, but na about righteous things and peace and joy with holy spirit.
18 Because anybody wey be slave of Christ for this way, God go accept the person and people go talk say the person de do well.
19 So, make we try de do things wey go make peace dey and the things wey go encourage one another.
20 Stop to destroy the work of God just because of food. Na true say everything dey clean, but e no good for person to chop when this one go make another person fall.
21 E better make you no chop meat or drink wine or do anything wey fit make your brother fall.
22 The faith wey you get na between you and God. Person go happy if e no de judge imself for the thing wey e believe say na the the correct thing.
23 But if e de doubt, e don already condemn imself if e chop, because e no chop with faith. True-true, everything wey person no do with faith na sin.
