King David Do Bad Thing
After Saul die, David come be king. That time, e dey 30 years. After e don be king for some years. E make one big mistake. David call Bath-sheba come im palace. E come sleep with am, Bath-sheba come get belle. Because David want try cover the bad thing wey e don do, e sey make dem put Uriah for front as dem dey fight. E still sey make dem run leave am for the war make Ammon people for kill am. As dem kill Uriah for the war, David marry Bath-sheba.
But Jehovah see all the bad thing wey don happen. Wetin e go come do? Jehovah come send prophet Nathan go meet David. E tell David sey: ‘One rich man get many sheep, and one poor man get only one small sheep wey e like well well. But the rich man come take the only small sheep wey the poor man get.’ David come dey vex, na im e sey: ‘That rich man suppose die!’ Nathan come tell am sey: ‘Na you be the rich man.’ The thing touch David, na im e tell Nathan sey: ‘I don do wetin Jehovah hate.’ This sin bring big wahala for David and im family. Jehovah punish David, but e still let am live because David gree sey e don sin and e no carry shoulder.
David want build temple for Jehovah, but Jehovah tell am sey na im pikin Solomon go build am. David come start to dey ready the things wey Solomon go take build am. E talk sey: ‘Jehovah temple go big well well and e go fine no be small. But I go help Solomon gather things because e still young.’ David bring plenty money for the work. E find people wey sabi the work. E collect gold and silver, e even bring better wood wey dem dey call cedar from Tyre and Sidon. When e don old well well, e give Solomon the plan wey e go use build the temple. E tell am sey: ‘Jehovah make me write all this things down for you. No fear, Jehovah go help you get strong mind make you take do the work.’
