⁴ Some servants of Jehovah no fit do everything wey they for like to do for their service to Jehovah because of old age or sickness, and this one de make them feel bad. This one happen to one sister wey e name na Carol. Before, e de serve for place wey they need more publishers to preach. That time, e de conduct 35 Bible studies and e help some people give their life to Jehovah and baptize. Carol really do well for e preaching work! Then after, e start to really sick sotey many times, e no de fit comot for house. Carol talk say: “I know say because of my sickness I no de fit do reach wetin other people de do, but I de feel say I no be better Christian like them. I de battle with wetin I for like do and the condition wey I dey. This one de really tire me.” Carol want do everything wey e fit do for Jehovah. True-true, this one na better example. We fit dey sure say our God wey de feel for people really like-am as Carol de do e best for e service.

5. (a) Wetin we need to remember if we de feel bad because we no fit do everything wey we for like do for Jehovah? (b) As we see for the pictures, how the brother don continue to do e best as e de serve Jehovah?

⁵ If you de feel bad sometimes because you no de fit do all the things wey you for like do for Jehovah, make you ask yourself say, ‘Wetin Jehovah want make I de do?’ Na your best, anything wey you fit do for your condition now. Think about this example: One sister wey don pass 80 years de feel bad because e no de fit do plenty for preaching work again as e de do when e dey 40 years. E think say even though say e de do e best, this one no de make Jehovah glad. But, na true? Just think-am. If this sister de do e best when e dey 40 years, and e still continue to do e best now wey e don pass 80 years, this one mean say e never stop to give e best. If we start to feel say the things wey we de do to serve Jehovah no dey enough to make Jehovah glad, we need to still remind ourself say na Jehovah de decide wetin dey enough to make-am glad, no be we. If we do our best, e go just be like say Jehovah de shake our hand and tell us say: “Well done!”—Compare Matthew 25:20-23.

6. Wetin we fit learn from the example of Maria?

⁶ E go dey easy for us to get more joy if we put our mind for the things wey we fit do, instead of to put mind for the things wey we no fit do. See the example of one sister wey e name na Maria. This sister get one sickness. And the sickness no de make this sister do plenty for the preaching work. The sister first de feel say e dey useless and really feel sad. But e think about one sister for e congregation wey no de fit comot from bed, and Maria decide to help this sister. Maria talk say: “I make arrangement to preach with this sister for telephone and with letter. Everytime wey we work together, when I come back I de really get joy, and I de feel say I don do better thing as I don fit help my sister.” We too fit get more joy when we put our mind for the things wey we fit do, instead of the things wey we no fit do. But what if we fit do more, or we de really do well especially for some things wey we de do to serve Jehovah?

7. Which better advice apostle Peter give Christians?

⁷ For the first letter wey apostle Peter write, e advise e brothers say make they use any gift or talent wey they get to encourage their brothers and sisters. Peter write say: “As better slave wey God don show this kind [special] favor, make each person use any gift wey e  don receive to serve other people.” (1 Pet. 4:10) Make we do our best to use our gift well. Make we no worry say other people go de jealous us or de feel bad. If we no do our best because we de worry about how other people go feel, this one go mean say we no de give Jehovah our best.

8. As e dey for 1 Corinthians 4:6, 7, why e no good make we de boast with the gift wey we get?

⁸ We need to really use our gift well, but we must dey careful make we no de use-am boast. (Read 1 Corinthians 4:6, 7.) For example, you fit really sabi how to start Bible study. Make you no draw back to use that gift! Use the gift, but no allow this one make you de carry shoulder up. For example, maybe you get one experience for preaching wey you start one Bible study with person, and e really sweet you to tell the people for your preaching group about the experience. But when you meet them, one sister don already de talk e own experience about how e give person one magazine. The sister give person magazine; but you start Bible study with person. Wetin you go do? You know say the experience go really encourage your group. But, you fit decide to wait for another better time to tell them the experience, so that you no go kill the joy of your sister wey give magazine. If you do like this, e show say you dey kind. But no matter anything, make you no stop to start Bible study with people. You get the gift, so make you use-am!

9. How we suppose use our gift?

⁹ Make we remember say anything wey we sabi do na gift from God. We suppose use the gift wey we get to make the congregation dey as one, no be to praise ourself. (Phil. 2:3) When we use our power and the things wey we sabi do to do wetin God want, we go get reason to dey happy because we de use our gift praise Jehovah. And no be because we de do pass other people or we de try to better pass them.

10. Why e no make sense at all to compare ourself with other people?

¹⁰ If person no dey careful, the person fit start to compare wetin e fit do with wetin another person no fit do. For example, one brother fit sabi give public talk well. Na e talent be that. But another brother fit dey, wey e no sabi give talk like this brother. So this brother fit de feel say e better pass the other brother. But maybe the brother wey no too sabi give talk, sabi care for people well, de train e children well, or de really do well for  preaching work. We really de glad say we get plenty brothers and sisters wey de use their gift to serve Jehovah and help other people!

11. Why we need to try to follow Jesus example?

¹¹ The truth be say, we no go compare ourself with other people. But we fit gain when we learn from the examples of other faithful servant of Jehovah. For example, make we talk about Jesus. Even though say Jesus dey perfect, we fit learn from e fine-fine character and the things wey e do. (1 Pet. 2:21) When we do our best to follow e example well as we fit, we go be better servant of Jehovah and we go do well more for our preaching work.

12-13. Wetin we fit learn from King David?

¹² For Bible, we get plenty example of faithful men and women wey we fit follow their example, even as they no dey perfect. (Heb. 6:12) Think about King David. Jehovah call David “person wey de do wetin I like.” (Acts 13:22) But David no dey perfect. The truth be say, e do serious mistakes. Even with that one, na still better example e be for us. Why we talk so? Because when they correct David, e no try to give excuse. Instead, e accept the strong warning wey e receive. And e show say e really dey sorry from e heart for the bad thing wey e do. Because of this one, Jehovah forgive David.—Ps. 51:3, 4, 10-12.

¹⁴ We fit still gain when we de take time look our brothers and sisters well, both young and old people. For example, you fit think of person for your congregation wey continue to dey faithful as e de endure problem? E fit be say na trouble from school people, family people, or sickness. You see some better character wey the person get wey you go like to get? When you think about the better example of this person, you fit learn some things wey you fit do to endure your own problem. We  thank God say we get this kind faithful brothers and sisters wey be better example for us to follow. True-true, this one de really make us glad!—Heb. 13:7; Jas. 1:2, 3.

15. Which advice apostle Paul give wey fit help us continue to get joy as we de serve Jehovah?

¹⁵ To make peace dey and make everybody dey as one for congregation, each person need to do e best. Make we talk about Christians for apostles their time. They get different-different gift and different-different work. (1 Cor. 12:4, 7-11) But this one no make them de drag who better pass among them or de fight each other. Instead, Paul advice each of them to do wetin go “make the body of Christ dey strong.” Paul write to the brothers for Ephesus say: “When each part de work well, this one de make the body grow, so that all part go get strong love.” (Eph. 4:1-3, 11, 12, 16) People wey do wetin Paul talk, make peace dey and everybody dey as one for congregation. 16. Wetin we go tell ourself say we go do? (Hebrews 6:10)

¹⁶ Tell yourself say you no go compare yourself with other people. Instead, learn from Jesus, and try to copy the fine-fine character wey e get. Gain from Bible examples and faithful examples wey we get today. As you continue to do your best, make you dey sure say Jehovah, “no be bad person; e no go forget the things wey [you] don do.” (Read Hebrews 6:10.)
