WHEN Jesus teach e disciples how they go de preach, e make-am clear say no be everytime people go want listen to the message about the Kingdom. (Luke 10:3, 5, 6) Today, when we de preach we fit meet some people wey them dey harsh, or they even want attack us. The truth be say, if we de meet this kind people for preaching, e fit hard us to feel pity for them and help them.

E good if we de feel pity for people wey we meet for preaching, and we get the mind to always want help them. But if we no get the mind to help them, e fit make us no use all our heart de preach again. The love wey we get for people just be like fire. If person want make fire continue to burn, e go de put firewood. So if we want continue to use all our heart preach to people, e good make we de feel pity for them and get the mind to help them.​—1 Thess. 5:19.

Wetin go help us show pity for people even when e no easy? Make we talk about three better example wey we fit imitate. Na example of Jehovah, Jesus, and apostle Paul.

For plenty years now, people don de talk wicked lie about Jehovah. Even with that one, Jehovah “de do good for wicked people and people wey they no de talk thank you.” (Luke 6:35) The way Jehovah dey patient show say e get good-heart for people. E like-am make “all kind of people” get life. (1 Tim. 2:3, 4) Na true say God hate wickedness. But e value human being, and e no want destroy anybody.​—2 Pet. 3:9.

Jehovah know say Satan sabi use lie deceive people, and e don succeed. (2 Cor. 4:3, 4) From small pikin, many people don learn lie about God. So wetin them de think and wetin they believe, de make-am hard them to accept the truth. But Jehovah ready to help this kind people. How we manage know?

Make we talk about Nineveh people for Bible time. Even with the bad life wey them de live, Jehovah tell Jonah say: “Make I no sorry for Nineveh the great city, wey e get pass 120,000 men wey they no know their right from their left?” (Jonah 4:11) Jehovah send Jonah go warn Nineveh people because e de feel pity for them. E see say they never learn the truth about the person wey e be.

We value people like Jehovah. Even if e be like say they no want listen, make we do everything wey we fit do to help them learn the truth. If we do like that, we de imitate Jehovah.

 When people no want hear our message, make we try understand why they no want listen. E fit be say wetin dey their mind about the Bible no good. Or maybe na because of the bad example of people wey they claim say they be Christian. They fit still don hear lie about the things wey we believe. And for other people wey they no want listen, e fit be say na because of the way their family people or other people for their community go treat them.

Some people wey we meet for preaching fit no want accept us because of the thing wey they don face for life. Maybe they no get joy at all because of wetin they don face for life. One missionary wey e name na Kim, talk say: “For one place for our territory, plenty people don lose everything wey they get because of war. They no get better hope for future. Life don tire them and they no trust anybody. For this area, we de always meet people wey they no want listen to our message. One day, they attack me when I de preach.”

Even with that kind treatment, wetin de help Sister Kim continue to pity for people and still want help them? E say: “When they attack me, I de remember wetin Proverbs 19:11 talk. E say: ‘Na the deep sense wey person get, go make the person no vex quick.’ Anytime I remember wetin the people for my territory don face, e de help me make I continue to show them pity. And no be everybody wey we see dey harsh. For that same area, we get fine-fine return visit.”

We fit ask ourself say, ‘If na me dey this people their condition, wetin I go do when person come preach to me?’ For example, what if people don tell us plenty lie about Jehovah Witness? E fit be say if na we, we no go want listen and we go need person wey e go show us pity. Jesus talk say make we treat other people the way we want make they treat us. When we remember this one, e go make us sorry for people and help them even when e no easy.​—Matt. 7:12.

Apostle Paul show pity for people, even for people wey them dey harsh. Why e do like that? Na because e remember the kind person wey e be before. E talk say: “Before-before, I de talk bad about God, I de suffer people wey them de serve God, and I no get respect for anybody. But God show me pity because I no know wetin I de do that time, and I no get faith.” (1 Tim. 1:13) Jehovah and Jesus show say they really get pity for Paul, and Paul know this one. Maybe when Paul de preach, e meet some people wey they get the kind character wey e get before.

 Sometimes, Paul meet people wey they get strong belief for wetin no correct. Wetin e do? Acts 17:16 talk say when Paul dey Athens, “e no dey happy at all as e see say na so-so idol full the city.” Even as this things no make Paul happy, e still use-am preach to them. (Acts 17:22, 23) Paul use different style preach to people wey they come from different-different place, so that e “fit do [e] best to save some people.”​—1 Cor. 9:20-23.

Like Paul, make we de preach to people even if they no want listen, or their belief no correct. And we fit use wetin we know about this people tell them the good news. (Isa. 52:7) One sister wey e name na Dorothy talk say: “For our territory, they don teach plenty people say God dey harsh and e too de put eye for the things wey person no do well. I de thank them as they believe say God dey. Then, I go show them wetin Bible talk about the fine-fine character wey God get and the things wey e don promise us for front.”

Make we still try to encourage our brothers and sisters when we de preach with them. Jessica talk say: “If something wey e no good happen to one of us for preaching, I de try make I no talk about-am. Instead, I de talk about other better things, like the good result wey we de get from our preaching work even as some people no want listen.”

Jehovah really know all the problem wey we de face for our preaching work. E go really happy when we imitate the way e de show pity for people! (Luke 6:36) The truth be say, Jehovah no go show pity forever. But we fit dey sure say, Jehovah know the right time when e go destroy this world. Before that time come, make we see our preaching work as important thing because time no dey! (2 Tim. 4:2) So make we continue to preach with all our heart and de show pity for “all kind of people.”
