FOUR ADVICE FROM BIBLE WEY GO HELP YOU FIT ADJUST

2. No compare your new congregation with the congregation wey you dey before. (Eccl. 7:10) When Brother Jules move from Benin to United States, e see say the way them de do things for the new place really different. E talk say: “The way them de do things for here, make me feel say I need to tell each new person wey I meet everything about myself.” Because things dey different from where e de come from, e start to avoid brothers and sisters for im new congregation. After e try to know the brothers and sisters well, e change the way e de see them. E talk say: “I see say anywhere wey we dey for this earth, people na the same. Them only de talk and do things for different way. E dey important to accept people the way them be.” So no de compare your new congregation with the one wey you dey before. Sister Anne-Lise wey be pioneer talk say: “I move go another place to learn new things, no be because I de expect say things go be the same just as e dey for where I de come from.”

Elders too no need to compare their new congregation with the congregation wey them dey before. Just because brothers for your new congregation de do things for different way, no mean say them de always do the wrong thing. (Eccl. 3:1, 7b) E better make you use your good example teach your brothers and sisters, than to try force them to think like you.—2 Cor. 1:24.

3. Try do things with brothers and sisters for your new congregation. “MAKE UNA DE WELCOME EACH OTHER”

Some people mind de cut when them enter Kingdom Hall and them no know anybody for there. So how you fit help people wey just come your congregation? E say: “Make una de welcome each other just as Christ still welcome una.” (Rom. 15:7) Elders go fit welcome the new people for congregation, if them follow Jesus example.
