To fit survive for that “day,” we need to prepare now. Jesus no only talk say we need to ready for “great tribulation” but e still talk say we need to always ready as we de wait for the “great tribulation.”—Matt. 24:21; Luke 12:40.

2. Wetin we go learn from 1 Thessalonians?

² For the first letter wey apostle Paul write to the Christians for Thessalonica, e use different-different examples to help them fit ready for the day of Jehovah. Paul know say, the day of Jehovah no go come that time. (2 Thess. 2:1-3) But e still tell them say make them dey ready for the day like say e de come tomorrow. We too fit follow this advice. Make we see wetin apostle Paul talk wey go help us answer this three questions: (1) How the day of Jehovah go come? (2) Which kind people no go survive? And (3) wetin we fit do to ready for the day of Jehovah?

⁶ “People wey de sleep.” (Read 1 Thessalonians 5:6, 7.) Apostle Paul compare people wey no go survive the day of Jehovah to people wey de sleep. ⁷ ‘People wey over drink.’ Apostle Paul compare people wey God go destroy, to people wey over drink. When person over drink, e no de make decision with e clear eye and e no go fit do anything well. Na so e be for wicked people because them no de do wetin Jehovah want make them do. Them don choose to live bad life wey go make Jehovah destroy them. But Bible don warn us say make we no sleep like this people and make we de use our sense well. (1 Thess. 5:6) One professor talk say, “person wey de use e sense well no de over worry, e go dey calm and think well to fit make better decision.” Why e dey important make we no de over worry ourself? Na because when we de worry, e fit make us want put hand for politics matter and other things wey concern this world. As the end of Satan world de near more-more, things wey go de happen for this world go want force us to put hand for politics matter. Even with this one, we no need to over worry ourself about how we go handle this kind matter. Holy spirit go fit help us dey calm, use our sense well, and make better decision.—Luke 12:11, 12.

8. Which example Paul use for 1 Thessalonians 5:8 to explain the better-better character wey fit help us dey ready for the day of Jehovah? (Still check the picture.)

⁸ “Wear the breastplate . . . and . . . helmet.” Paul compare us to soldier wey wear uniform and ready to fight. (Read 1 Thessalonians 5:8.) People expect say make soldier dey ready to fight anytime wey war dey. Na so e still be for us. 9. How our faith de protect us?

E go help us continue to serve Jehovah as we de follow Jesus example. Faith de make us believe say Jehovah go bless us if we use all our heart serve-am. (Heb. 11:6) Even when things hard for us, our faith go help us to continue to be Jesus disciple. To fit endure problems, we need strong faith. To get strong faith, we fit learn from the  example of our brothers and sisters wey continue to hold Jehovah tight when government suffer them because of their faith or when things hard for them. We fit copy the example of our brothers and sisters wey live simple life to fit get more time for Jehovah work. This one go help us make we no fall for Satan trap to love money and property. b

10. Wetin we go continue to do because of our Love for God and neighbor?

¹⁰ Love na another better character wey we need, wey go help us always ready as we de wait the day of Jehovah. (Matt. 22:37-39) Our love for Jehovah de help us to fit continue to preach no matter the problem wey we de face. (2 Tim. 1:7, 8) Because we love people wey no de serve Jehovah, we de continue to preach for our territory, we de even use phone and write letter to preach. We believe say one day, our neighbors fit change and start to serve Jehovah.—Ezek. 18:27, 28.

11. How the love wey we get for our brothers and sisters de help us? (1 Thessalonians 5:11)

¹¹ We no only love Jehovah and our neighbors, we still love our brothers and sisters. We de show this one when we “de encourage each other and de make each other strong.” (Read 1 Thessalonians 5:11.) Just as soldiers de fight together for war, na so we de work together and encourage each other. The truth be say soldier fit injure another soldier wey them de join hand fight their enemy. But that one go be by mistake. Na so e still be for us, we no de plan bad thing for our brothers and sisters or do them back when them do wetin vex us. (1 Thess. 5:13, 15) We still de show say we respect the elders wey de care for the congregation, this one show say we really love them. (1 Thess. 5:12) E never reach one year wey them form the congregation wey dey Thessalonica, when apostle Paul write this letter to them. This one mean say na new elders de care for the congregation and this one fit don make them make plenty mistake. Even with this one,  the congregation still need to respect the elders. As great tribulation de near more-more, we go need our congregation elders pass the way we need them now. Because e fit be say e no go dey possible for us to receive direction from brothers for our headquarters and branch office again. So e dey important make we do our best to love and respect elders for our congregation now before that time reach. No matter wetin happen, make we continue to de use our sense well. and make we no de put mind for their mistake. Remember, Jehovah de use Jesus direct elders.

12. How our hope de protect our mind and help us think well?

¹² Just as helmet de protect soldier head, na so our hope say God go save us when e destroy this wicked world, de protect our mind and help us fit think well. If our hope strong, e go help us see say nothing wey this Satan world fit give us, get any value. (Phil. 3:8) Our hope de make our mind come down make we no de worry-worry. 13. Wetin we go do to fit get holy spirit?

¹³ “No stop the work wey the spirit de do.” (1 Thess. 5:19) Apostle Paul talk say holy spirit de work for our body. If we no do wetin go make Jehovah remove e spirit from us, e spirit go make us de use all our mind do wetin good, and get the power to work for Jehovah. (Rom. 12:11) Wetin we fit do to get holy spirit? To get-am, we go pray make God give us the spirit, study Bible, and join e servants worship-am for e organization. 14. Wetin we no suppose do so that we go continue to get holy spirit? (Still check the picture.)

 ¹⁴ When Jehovah don give us holy spirit, we must dey careful make we no do wetin go make-am remove the spirit from us. Instead we go show say we de wait for-am as we continue to dey busy for Jehovah worship and continue to do wetin good for Jehovah eye.—2 Pet. 3:11, 12.

15. Wetin we fit do so that lie-lie story and message from demons no go deceive us? (1 Thessalonians 5:21)

¹⁵ Small time, people wey dey against God go claim say “Peace dey and fear no dey” again. (1 Thess. 5:3) Message from demons go full everywhere for this earth and e go deceive plenty people.
