YOU want baptize as disciple of Jesus Christ? Plenty people don choose to baptize because they love Jehovah and they want show say they like everything wey e don do for them. Make we see the example of one man wey Bible talk about. This man de work for the queen of Ethiopia.

² The man no waste time to baptize as e just learn from Bible say na the correct thing to do. (Read Acts 8:27-31, 35-38.) Why this man from Ethiopia make that decision? So when Philip talk with this man, e start to like the things wey Jesus don do for-am. But why the man travel go Jerusalem? Na because e don already de love Jehovah. Wetin make us know this one? We know this one because e just worship Jehovah for Jerusalem. This man go don change e religion and join the only nation wey the true God be take as e own. And because this man love Jehovah e do another important thing. E baptize and come be disciple of Christ.—Matt. 28:19.

3. Wetin fit hold person make e no baptize? (Check the box “ Which Kind Person You Be for Your Heart?”)

³ The love wey you get for Jehovah fit push you to baptize. But, the love wey you get for other things fit still hold you make you no baptize. How? Think about this examples. Your family people and your friends fit no de serve Jehovah but you really love them. So you fit de worry say if you baptize, they go hate you. (Matt. 10:37) Or, e fit get some things wey you de like  to do and you know say God hate them. But to stop this things fit hard for you. (Ps. 97:10) Or from small pikin, you fit don de do some celebrations wey lie-lie religion de do. And maybe when you de remember some things wey you don do for this celebrations, you de like-am. Because of this one, e fit hard you to stop this celebrations wey Jehovah hate. (1 Cor. 10:20, 21) So you must choose, “Which thing or which person I love pass?”

4. Wetin be the number one reason to baptize?

⁴ Plenty things dey wey you fit like and wey you fit thank God for. For example, even before you begin study Bible with Jehovah Witness, you fit don get deep respect for Bible. And e fit be say you don already start to love Jesus. Now wey you don know Jehovah Witness people, you fit like to spend time with them. But just because you like this good things no mean say you go want give your life to Jehovah and baptize. The number one reason why you go baptize na because you love Jehovah God. If you love Jehovah pass anybody or anything, you no go allow anybody or anything make you stop to worship Jehovah. Your love for Jehovah go push you to baptize, and na still this love go help you continue to serve Jehovah well after you don baptize.

5. Which things we go talk about?

⁵ Jesus talk say we must love Jehovah with all our heart, life, mind, and power. (Mark 12:30) How you fit learn to love and respect Jehovah for that kind strong way? We need to think about the kind strong love wey Jehovah get for us. Na this kind love go help us to love Jehovah back. ⁶ Learn about Jehovah from the things wey e don make. (Read Romans 1:20; Rev. 4:11) Think about the plants and animals wey Jehovah make and how they show say Jehovah really get sense. Try to learn some things about the wonderful way wey God make your body. (Ps. 139:14) And think about the power wey Jehovah put for our sun, and get-am for mind say apart from the sun other plenty-plenty stars dey wey God make. * (Isa. 40:26) When you do this things, you go de respect Jehovah more-more. But as you don know say Jehovah get sense and power, you only don start to be friend with Jehovah. You go need to know more things about Jehovah if you want get strong love for-am.

7. If you want get strong love for Jehovah, wetin you need to believe?

⁷ You need to believe say Jehovah really love you. You de find-am hard to believe say the Person wey make heaven and earth de notice you and say e care about you? If na so, make you remember say Jehovah “no dey far from any of us.” (Acts 17:26-28) David tell Solomon for  Bible say God “de check all heart.” E still talk say ‘if you search for God, e go allow you know’ who e be. This promise na from Jehovah. (1 Chron. 28:9) The truth na say, the reason why you de study Bible na because Jehovah talk for Bible say, ‘I don draw you come meet me.’ (Jer. 31:3) The more you know everything wey God don do for you, the more your love for God go strong.

8. How you fit show say you de thank Jehovah for e love?

⁸ One way to show say you de thank Jehovah for e love na to pray. Your love for God go grow when you de tell God about everything for your heart and de thank-am for everything wey e don do for you. And as you de see how Jehovah de answer your prayer, the two of wuna go de tight as friends. (Ps. 116:1) You go believe say e understand you. But if you want continue to be e friend, you go need to understand the way e de think. And you need to know wetin e want make you do. The only way wey you fit know this one, na when you de study Bible.

⁹ Learn to like Bible. Na only Bible fit tell you the truth about God and the thing wey e get for mind for you. You de show say Bible dey important to you when you de read-am everyday, when you de prepare for your study before your Bible teacher come study with you, and when you de use the things wey you learn. (Ps. 119:97, 99; John 17:17) You arrange time wey you de use read Bible? You de follow-am to make sure say you read your Bible everyday?

10. Wetin be one special thing about Bible?

¹⁰ One special thing about Bible na say the story wey people talk about Jesus, they see-am as e happen. Na Bible be the only correct book wey you fit really read about the things wey Jesus don do for you. As you learn wetin Jesus talk and do, you go want be e friend.

11. How you fit learn to love Jehovah?

 ¹¹ Learn to love Jesus, and your love for Jehovah go grow. Why? Na because Jesus really copy the way e Father de do things. (John 14:9) So the more you de learn about Jesus, the more you go de understand and love Jehovah. Think about the way Jesus show say e de feel for people wey other people see as nothing because them dey poor, de sick, and nobody to help them. Still think about the better advice wey e de give you and how your life don better as you follow the advice.—Matt. 5:1-11; 7:24-27.

12. When you learn about Jesus, wetin this one fit move you to do?

¹² Your love for Jesus go fit strong more as you de think deep about the sacrifice wey e do so that God fit forgive our sins. (Matt. 20:28) When you understand say nobody force Jesus to come die for you, this one fit move you to repent and beg Jehovah to forgive you. (Acts 3:19, 20; 1 John 1:9) The more you love Jesus and Jehovah, the more you go want dey around people wey their feeling for Jesus and Jehovah be like your own.

13. Wetin Jehovah don give you?

¹³ Learn to love the brothers and sisters. Because your family members and friends no de serve Jehovah, they fit no understand why you want give Jehovah your life. They fit even give you trouble. But Jehovah go give you brothers and sisters for congregation to help you. They go be like family to you. If you dey with this family, you go get the love and support wey you need. (Mark 10:29, 30; Heb. 10:24, 25) As time de go, your family members fit begin serve Jehovah like you and de do the things wey e talk.—1 Pet. 2:12.

¹⁴ Learn to respect and follow the things wey Jehovah talk. Before you come know Jehovah, you fit don de do things the way you like. But now, you don see say na the things wey Jehovah want make you do better pass your own. (Ps. 1:1-3; read 1 John 5:3.) Think about the advice wey Bible give husband, wife, papa and mama, and pikin. Na because of this one Jehovah de use e organization to give you books wey you fit use learn Bible well and know correct thing from wrong thing. (Heb. 5:13, 14) When you read and study this books, you go see say the things for inside go fit help you handle problems for life. And because of this one, you fit want join Jehovah’s organization.

16. How Jehovah don arrange e people?

¹⁶ Learn to love and support the organization wey Jehovah de use. Jehovah don arrange e people for inside different-different congregation. And na Jesus, e  Son, be the head for all the congregation. (Eph. 1:22; 5:23) Jesus don choose small group of anointed men make them de direct the work wey e want make we do today. The name wey Jesus call this group of men na “faithful and discreet slave.” And they no de play with their work to help you learn things for Bible and help you continue to be friend of God. (Matt. 24:45-47) One way wey the faithful slave de help to care for you na to make sure say better elders dey for congregation to care for you, just as shepherd de care for sheep. (Isa. 32:1, 2; Heb. 13:17; 1 Pet. 5:2, 3) The elders dey ready to do everything wey they fit do to give you comfort, and help you near Jehovah more-more. But one main thing wey they fit do for you na to help you teach other people about Jehovah.—Eph. 4:11-13.

17. According to Romans 10:10, 13, 14, why we de talk to people about Jehovah?

¹⁷ Help other people learn how to love Jehovah. Jesus tell e disciples make they teach other people about Jehovah. (Matt. 28:19, 20) We fit obey that command because we know say we suppose to obey-am. But as your love for Jehovah de grow, you go feel the way apostle Peter and John feel.
