How Bible Fit Give Us Power?
“God . . . de give endurance.”—ROM. 15:5.
SONG 94 Jehovah, We Thank You for Your Word
WETIN WE GO LEARN? *
1. Which problems servants of Jehovah fit face?
YOU de face serious problem? E fit be say person for congregation don do something wey really pain you. (Jas. 3:2) Or e fit be say your workmate or schoolmate de laugh you because you de serve Jehovah. (1 Pet. 4:3, 4) Or maybe your family people de try to stop you make you no de go meeting again, or make you stop to preach. (Matt. 10:35, 36) If the problem don really hard you, you fit feel say the best thing na to stop to serve Jehovah. But you fit dey sure say, no matter the kind problem wey you de face, Jehovah go give you the sense to handle the problem and the power to endure.
2. As e dey for Romans 15:4, how Bible fit help us when we read-am?
2 Jehovah make sure say Bible get example of people wey no dey perfect, but they endure serious problems. Why? So that we go fit learn from their example. This one na the thing wey Jehovah direct apostle Paul to write. (Read Romans 15:4.) When we read about this people, their story fit encourage us and give us hope. But if we want gain from their story, we go do pass just to read Bible. We must allow Bible to change the way we de think and touch our heart. For example, wetin we fit do if we need direction about how we go handle one problem wey we de face? We fit do this four things: (1) Pray, (2) See yourself for the story, (3) Think deep, and (4) Use wetin you learn. We go talk about how to do each of this things. * Then we go use this style wey person fit use study Bible to learn the things wey happen to King David and apostle Paul.
3. Before you start to read Bible, wetin you suppose do, and why?
3 (1) Pray. Before you start to read Bible, beg Jehovah Phil. 4:6, 7; Jas. 1:5.
make e help you see how you fit gain from the thing wey you want read. For example, if you de find advice about how to handle problem wey you de face, beg Jehovah make e help you see Bible verse wey fit guide you.—4. Wetin fit help you make the story of the person wey you de read about dey real to you?
4 (2) See yourself for the story. Jehovah make us for way wey we go fit think about something like say we dey the place when the thing de happen. So that the story go dey real to you, try to think about wetin de happen and see yourself as the person wey you de read about. Try to see the things wey the person see and feel the way the person fit don feel.
5. Wetin e mean to think deep about something and how you fit do this one?
5 (3) Think deep. To think deep mean say you go sofri think about wetin you de read and about how the thing concern you. This one go help you see how things connect with each other, and you go understand the things wey you de read more. If you de read Bible and you no think deep about the things wey you de read, you go just be like person wey get ingredient wey e want use cook, but e no put all the ingredient for the food. The person no go enjoy the food. For the same way, when we no de think deep about the things wey we read for Bible, we no go fit connect them well. To help you think deep about wetin you read, you fit ask and answer this kind questions: ‘Wetin the main person wey the story talk about do to help e self? How Jehovah help this person? How I fit use the things wey I don learn so that they go fit help me endure problems?’
6. Why we need to use the thing wey we learn?
6 (4) Use wetin you learn. Jesus talk say if we no use the thing wey we learn, we just be like person wey build house ontop sand. E de work hard, but e de work for nothing. Why? Because when strong wind de blow with heavy rain and water de flow push the house, the house go fall. (Matt. 7:24-27) For the same way, if we pray, we see ourself for the story, and we think deep about wetin we learn but we no use wetin we learn, we go don work hard for nothing. So when we face problems or people suffer us, our faith no go strong reach to help us endure the problem. But when we de study Bible and we use wetin we learn, we go make better decision, we go get more peace, and our faith go de strong more-more. (Isa. 48:17, 18) Make we use the four ways wey we just talk about to see wetin we fit learn from something wey happen to King David.

E even try to make Ahithophel, one of David tight friend and person wey de advice David, make e join dey against David. Absalom announce say e be king, and e try to catch and kill David. And that time, e fit be say David really dey sick. (Ps. 41:1-9) David find out the plan wey Absalom get, and e run comot for Jerusalem. As time de go, the army wey Absalom get fight with the army wey David get. The army wey dey against David lose the fight, and Absalom die.
people go fit love Absalom wey be David pikin, Absalom work hard for many years. (10. Wetin King David for don do?
10 After that one, think about how David go don feel as all this things de happen. E love Absalom and e trust Ahithophel. Even with that one, the two of them do wetin really pain David. The thing pain David no be small, and they even try to kill David. David for don think say e other friends don join Absalom too, and e for don stop to trust them. 13. How you fit do like David if another person do something wey really pain you? (Matthew 18:15-17)

The situation go help you know whether you go need to do wetin Jesus talk for Matthew chapter 18 one by one or to allow wetin dey that chapter to guide you. (Read Matthew 18:15-17.) But when you de vex, make you no rush decide the thing wey you want do. Make you pray to Jehovah make e give you heart wey dey calm and the sense wey you need to handle the matter. No stop to trust your friends. Instead, accept help from them. (Prov. 17:17) The number one important thing na say, make you follow the advice wey Jehovah de give you for Bible.—Prov. 3:5, 6.
