Sometimes, you fit de feel the way apostle Paul feel when e write say: “The person wey I be for inside really like the law of God, but I see say for inside my body, another law de fight against the law of my mind and de take me as prisoner to the law of sin wey dey inside my body.” (Rom. 7: 22, 23) E fit de worry you for mind say bad things de come your mind sometimes. But when you think about the promise wey you make to Jehovah when you give your life to-am, this one go give you the power wey you need to fight any temptation. The truth be say, the promise wey we make to Jehovah de make-am easy for us to do wetin go make Jehovah happy, when we de face temptation. How?

7. If you give your life to Jehovah, how that one fit help you continue to worship-am well?

⁷ If you don give your life to Jehovah, no be you get yourself again. This one mean say you don decide say na wetin Jehovah want go be number one thing for your life, no be wetin you want. (Matt. 16:24) So when you de face temptation or any other problem, you no go de struggle to make better decision. Because, you go don already decide for your mind say na only wetin Jehovah want you go do. And nothing go fit make you change your mind. If you do like that, you go be like Job. Even though say e face serious problem, e talk with all im mind say: “I no go ever leave God till I die!”—Job 27:5.

8. When you de think about wetin you promise Jehovah when you give your life to-am, how that one fit help you?

⁸ When you de think about the promise wey you make to Jehovah when you give your life to-am, this one go help you fit face any temptation. For example, you no go de put eye for another person husband or wife body because you don already promise Jehovah say you no go ever do that kind thing. If you no allow this kind thing grow for your heart and mind, you no go de struggle later to comot-am, after e don enter body. E go make you no follow the bad things wey people de do.—Prov. 4:​14, 15.

9. When you de think about your promise to Jehovah, how that one fit help you put im worship first for your life?

 ⁹ What if you see work wey go make you de miss meeting? You know the correct thing wey you suppose do. Even before you see the work, you don decide say you no go accept any work wey go make you de miss meeting. So, you no go accept the work and de struggle to see how you fit put Jehovah first. When you think about how Jesus make up im mind to make im Papa happy, that one go help you reject any work or anything wey you know say e no go make Jehovah happy, as you don give-am your life.—Matt. 4:10; John 8:29.

10. After you baptize, how Jehovah go help you to fit “continue to follow” Jesus?

¹⁰ The truth be say the temptation and problem wey we de face, de give us the chance to show say we don make up our mind, to “continue to follow” Jesus. And make you always get-am for mind say Jehovah go always help you. Bible talk say: “God no de fail, and e no go allow the temptation pass wetin una fit bear. But with the temptation, e go still open way so that una go fit endure-am.”—1 Cor. 10:13.

WETIN GO HELP YOU FIT CONTINUE TO FOLLOW JESUS?

E talk say: “Even if I no do-am from my heart, I still get the work wey God don put for my hand to care for.” This one mean say apostle Paul always want give Jehovah im best no matter how im condition be.

 ¹³ For the same way, make you no use the way you de feel make decision. Make up your mind say you must do the correct thing no matter how you de feel. And if you continue to do the correct thing, as time de go, the way you de feel fit change. Even with this one, if you de always do personal study, pray, go meeting and preaching, e go help you continue to follow Jesus after you baptize. And if you continue to do your best as you de follow Jesus, e go help other brothers and sisters to fit do the same thing.—1 Thess. 5:11.

14. Wetin you need to de always check, and why? (2 Corinthians 13:5)

¹⁴ After you don baptize, e go still good make you continue to de check the kind person wey you be. (Read 2 Corinthians 13:5.) Make you de always take time check your life and your character to see if you de pray everyday, you de read and study Bible everytime, and if you de always go meeting and preaching. Try see how you go fit de enjoy this things and de gain more-more from them. For example, ask yourself say: ‘I go fit explain the main Bible teaching to people? Wetin I fit do to enjoy preaching more? I de always pray for plenty things, and my prayer de show say I trust Jehovah with all my heart? I de miss meeting? Wetin I go do so that I go de listen more for meeting, answer questions and do assignment?’

¹⁵ You still need to check yourself and tell yourself the truth about the things wey you no de do well. One brother wey im name na Bright a use wetin happen to-am as example. E talk say: “When I dey 20 years, I get one work wey I de do for some days every week. When I close for work one day, one young woman wey we de work for the same place invite me to im house. (Gen. 39:​7-9) And e surprise me say e hard me small to reject-am. This one really help me know say, I need to make my friendship with Jehovah strong pass as e be before.”

 ¹⁶ You go fit still gain if you check yourself the way Brother Bright check imself. Even when you succeed to run from temptation, ask yourself say, ‘E take me some time before I fit run from the temptation?’ If you see you need to correct some things for your life, make you no blame yourself and think say you don fail. Instead, make you happy say you see where you need to correct. Pray to Jehovah about-am and do things wey go help you fit make up your mind to continue to live the way Jehovah want.—Ps. 139:​23, 24.
