 OUR organization get one special meeting wey them de do every year. For the one wey them do for 2023, a them tell us wetin change about some things wey we believe before. And them tell us better news about our preaching work. For example, we learn say e fit still dey possible for some people to get the chance to put faith for Jehovah even after them don destroy Babylon the Great. Them still announce say from November 2023, the way we go de report our preaching work go change. You think say all this things wey them change mean say our preaching work no dey important again like before? No, no be so!

2. Why e be say everyday wey pass de make our preaching work dey important more-more? (Mark 13:10)

² Each day wey pass de make our preaching work dey important more-more. Why we talk like that? Because as each day de pass, the time wey remain for this wicked world de reduce. Think about wetin Jesus talk about the preaching work for this our time. (Read Mark 13:10.) As e dey for the book of Matthew, Jesus talk say them go preach the good news for the whole world before “the end” go come. (Matt. 24:14) The end wey Jesus talk about na the end of this wicked world wey Satan de control. Jehovah don choose the “day and hour” wey  the end go come. (Matt. 24:36; 25:13; Acts 1:7) As each day de pass, we de near that day more-more. (Rom. 13:11) But as we de wait, we must continue to de preach until the end come.

3. Wetin de move us to preach?

³ When we de think about the preaching work, e good make we ask ourself this important question: Why we de preach the good news? The simple answer be say, na love de move us to preach to people. When we de preach, we de show our love for the good news, for people, and the one wey dey important pass be say we de show our love for Jehovah and im name. Make we talk about them one by one.

4. How you de feel when you hear better news?

⁴ You remember how you feel when you hear better news wey make you happy well-well? E fit be say person for your family born pikin or the work wey you don de find, reach your hand. When this one happen, you happy sotey you no waste time to tell your friends and people for your family. Na the same way you feel when you hear the good news about God Kingdom, wey be the best news?

5. How you feel when you first learn the truth from Bible? (Still check the picture.)

⁵ You remember how you feel when you first learn the truth from Bible? You learn say your Papa for heaven love you well-well, e want make you join people wey de worship-am, e promise say pain and suffer-suffer no go dey again, say your people wey don die go come back to life for Paradise, and many other things. (Mark 10:​29, 30; John 5:​28, 29; Rom. 8:​38, 39; Rev. 21:3, 4) Wetin you learn really make you happy. (Luke 24:32) Because you love wetin you de learn, e move you to tell other people about-am.—Compare Jeremiah 20:9.

6. Wetin we learn from the story of Brother Ernest and im wife Rose?

 ⁶ Make we talk about the story of Brother Ernest b and im wife wey be Rose. Ernest dey ten years when im papa die. E talk say: “I de ask myself say: ‘My papa don go heaven? Or e don die forever?’ I de really jealous children wey get papa.” Ernest de always go im papa grave, and anytime wey e go, e go kneel down for the grave side and pray say: “God abeg, I want know where my papa dey.” Around 17 years after im papa die, Jehovah Witness people preach to-am, and e agree to study Bible with them. E happy to learn say people wey don die just be like people wey de sleep, them no know anything at all, and say Bible promise say them go come back to life. (Eccl. 9:5, 10; Acts 24:15) For many years, e don de look for the answer to im questions, and now e don get-am! Ernest happy well-well about this truth wey e de learn from Bible. Im wife wey be Rose join-am to de study Bible and e love wetin e de learn just like im husband. The two of them baptize for 1978. Them use all their heart preach to their family people, their friends, and anybody wey ready to listen. Because of this one, e don pass 70 people wey Brother Ernest and im wife don help learn the truth and baptize.

7. When we love the truth for Bible, wetin e de move us to do? (Luke 6:45)

⁷ When we love the truth wey we learn from Bible, e go move us to want tell everybody about-am. (Read Luke 6:45.) The truth for Bible de make us feel like Jesus disciples wey talk say: “We no go stop to talk about the things wey we don see and hear.” (Acts 4:20) We love the truth well-well, na this one make us want tell everybody wey go like to listen.

⁸ We love people just as Jehovah and im Son Jesus love them. (Prov. 8:31; John 3:16) We de feel pity for people wey no know God and wey “no get hope.” (Eph. 2:12) E just be like say problems for this world de swallow them, and we get the rope to draw them come out. This rope na the good news about God Kingdom. Because we love them and we de feel for them, we ready to do everything wey we fit do to tell them the good news. This good news fit give them hope, help them know how to get the best life now, and give  them hope say them go fit live forever for Paradise.—1 Tim. 6:19.

9. Wetin we de tell people say go happen for future, and why? (Ezekiel 33:7, 8)

⁹ The love wey we get for people de move us to tell them say this wicked world go soon end. (Read Ezekiel 33:7, 8.) We de feel pity for everybody, even our family people wey no be Jehovah servant. Many people just de live their life de go, and them no know say great tribulation or ‘serious trouble de come, the kind one wey never dey before since the world start, come reach now, and e no go dey again.’ (Matt. 24:21) We want make them know wetin go happen that time when Jehovah go judge the whole world. Jehovah go destroy all lie-lie religion, and then e go destroy this wicked world for Armageddon. (Rev. 16:​14, 16; 17:​16, 17; 19:​11, 19, 20) We pray say many people go listen to the good news and join us to worship Jehovah now. But what about our family members and other people wey no listen to our message now?

10. Why e dey important make we continue to tell people wetin go soon happen?

¹⁰ As we don talk for the article before this one, e fit be say when some people see how them destroy Babylon the Great, e go make them put faith for Jehovah and this one fit make Jehovah save them. This one mean say e dey more important now pass before say make we continue to preach to people about wetin go happen for future. Just think-am: Wetin we tell them now fit be wetin them go remember that time. (Compare Ezekiel 33:33.) E fit be say wetin we tell them before go come their mind, and this one fit make them come worship Jehovah before e too late. This one make us remember the prison watchman for Philippi, wey change im mind after “ground begin shake open.” So, e fit still be say some people wey no listen to us now, fit change their mind after them see how them destroy Babylon the Great.—Acts 16:​25-34.

WE DE PREACH BECAUSE WE LOVE JEHOVAH AND IM NAME

11. How we de praise and honor Jehovah, and how we de give-am our power? (Revelation 4:11) (Still check the picture.)

¹¹ The most important reason why we de preach na because we love Jehovah and im holy name. We de see our preaching work as one way to praise Jehovah, the God wey we love. (Read Revelation 4:11.) We agree with wetin Revelation 4:11 talk, wey say: “Jehovah our God, you reach to receive the praise, the honor and the power.” We de praise and honor Jehovah when we de preach to other people and show them things wey show say na  Jehovah “make everything,” and say we dey alive because na im give us life. We de give Jehovah our power when we use all our time, power, and things wey we get, to support the preaching work as we fit. (Matt. 6:33; Luke 13:24; Col. 3:23) The truth be say, we like to talk about Jehovah because we love-am. Na this love still de move us to tell people about Jehovah name and the kind God wey e be. Why?

12. How we de make Jehovah name holy when we de preach?

¹² The love wey we get for Jehovah de move us to make im name holy. (Matt. 6:9) We de do this one when we tell people say all the things wey Satan talk about Jehovah na lie. (Gen. 3:​1-5; Job 2:4; John 8:44) When we de preach, e de hungry us to tell everybody wey want listen about Jehovah and the kind God wey e really be. We want make everybody know say im number one character na love, e de rule for the correct way and e no de do partial, and say small time, im Kingdom go end suffer-suffer, make peace dey everywhere for this earth and make all of us de happy. (Ps. 37:​10, 11, 29; 1 John 4:8) When we de tell people this things about Jehovah, we de make im name holy. Another thing be say e de make us happy because we know say we de do wetin we suppose do as Jehovah Witness people. Why we talk like that?

13. Why we de happy say we be Jehovah Witness? (Isaiah 43:​10-12)

¹³ Jehovah don choose us to be im “witness.” (Read Isaiah 43:​10-12.) Some years ago, Governing Body talk for one letter say: “The biggest honor wey any of us fit get, na to be Jehovah Witness.” c Why we talk like  that? Think about this example. Imagine say somebody lie for your head, and you need person wey go defend you say wetin the person talk no be true, and say you be good person wey no go fit ever do that kind thing. Which kind person you go choose to defend you? We dey sure say you go choose person wey you know well-well, wey you trust, wey other people trust, and wey them go fit believe. As Jehovah choose us to be im Witness, e show say Jehovah know us well, and e trust us say we go fit tell other people say na im be the only true God. We really happy say Jehovah choose us to be im Witness, and this one de make us use every chance wey we get to tell people about im name and prove to them say all the bad things wey them don hear about Jehovah na lie. When we do like this, we de follow the meaning of the name wey people take know us, wey be Jehovah Witness!—Ps. 83:18; Rom. 10:​13-15.

WE GO CONTINUE TO PREACH GO REACH THE END

14. Which better things we de hope to see for future?

¹⁴ E de hungry us to see the better-better things wey go happen for future! We hope say with Jehovah help, more people go join us de worship Jehovah before great tribulation go start. Another thing wey de make us happy be say, even for great tribulation wey go be the time wey things go hard pass any other time, some people for Satan world fit come out and join us de worship Jehovah!—Acts 13:48.

15-16. Wetin we don make up our mind to continue to do, and go reach when?

¹⁵ As we de wait for that time, wetin we suppose to de do? We get one important work wey we no go ever do again, wey be to preach the good news about God Kingdom for the whole earth. As we de preach the good news, we go continue to warn people about the things wey go soon happen. People need to know say the end of this wicked world de come quick-quick. Then when that time reach, them go know say the message wey we preach na from Jehovah.—Ezek. 38:23.

¹⁶ Wetin we don make up our mind to do? Because of the love wey we get for the good news, for people, and for Jehovah and im name, we don make up our mind to put all our body for the preaching work, and use all our time, power, and the things wey we get, do the work until Jehovah talk say, “E don do!”
