1, 2. As we continue to learn about Jehovah, wetin we go learn to do? Give example.

² Na so e still be, when we first start to learn the truth, we learn how important e dey to obey the things wey Jehovah command us to do. But as we continue to learn about Jehovah, we learn the way Jehovah de think, the way e de see different-different matter, the things wey e like, and the things wey e no like. If we learn to de think like Jehovah and allow e thinking to guide the things wey we de do, we go show say we de make the way Jehovah de think our own.

3. Why e fit hard us to make the way Jehovah de think our own?

³ Even though e de sweet us to learn to think like Jehovah because na better thing, sometimes e no de easy at all. Why? Because we no dey perfect, and sometimes we fit no think well. For example, we fit know wetin Jehovah talk for Bible about sex matter wey e hate, to de gather money and property, the way we de do our  preaching work, people wey them de use blood anyhow, or some other things. But e fit hard us to understand the reason why e talk so. Wetin fit help us to think like Jehovah? How we fit continue to improve for our thinking, so that we go make the way Jehovah de think our own? And if we do like that, how e go help us make better decision now and for future?

4. As Paul talk say make we ‘change the kind person wey we be,’ wetin e mean?

⁴ Read Romans 12:2. For this Bible verse, apostle Paul talk wetin e mean to learn to think like Jehovah. The last topic before this one don help us see say for us to “stop to de do things like the people wey dey this world,” we must reject to listen to worldly ideas and the way them de think. Paul still talk why we need to ‘change the kind person wey we be.’ This one mean say we go de study Bible, think deep about-am, understand the way Jehovah de think, and work hard to change our thinking to make the way Jehovah de think our own.

5. Wetin be the difference between to study and to just read and mark answers?

⁵ To study no be just to quickly read and finish the whole book or mark answers for the book. When we de study, we go think about wetin the place de tell us about Jehovah, e ways and how e de think. We go try to understand why God command us to do some things and condemn other things. We go still think about some things wey we go need to change, whether na for our life or the way we de think. E fit be say no be all this points we go think about each time we de study. But we go gain when we spend time to think deep about the things wey we de read. We fit use half of the time wey we use study to think deep.​—Ps. 119:97; 1 Tim. 4:15.

6. Wetin de happen when we think deep about the way Jehovah de think?

⁶ When we de always think deep about God’s Word, wonderful thing de happen. We de ‘show say,’ we really dey sure say, the way Jehovah de think about matter dey perfect. We go start to de see things the way Jehovah de see things, and we go agree with e way. As our mind de ‘change,’ and we start to think for new way, small-small, we go start to make the way Jehovah de think our own.

⁷ Make we no think say our thinking concern only our brain. But the way we de think and do things de work together. (Mark 7:21-23; Jas. 2:17) Make we see some examples so that we go understand the point clear. The first one na the story of how they born Jesus. ⁸ This example of how they born Jesus teach us to value the way Jehovah de see money and property. Some papa and mama want make their children get everything for this world, even though say e go affect their friendship with Jehovah. E clear say na  our friendship with Jehovah dey important pass, and na e be the number one thing to Jehovah. You accept the way Jehovah de think about this matter and make-am your own? The things wey you de do show say you don really accept-am?​—Read Hebrews 13:5.

9, 10. For the matter of ‘to do wetin go make other people fall,’ how we go show say we de think the way Jehovah de think?

⁹ The second example na the way Jehovah de see anybody wey e de make other people fall. Wetin this one mean be say, them de make other people sin, or make them to stop to serve Jehovah. Jesus talk say: “Anybody wey make one of this small-small ones wey get faith fall, e go better for the person say, they tie millstone wey donkey de turn for e neck, and throw the person inside the sea.” (Mark 9:42) E clear say Jesus see this matter as serious matter! And we know say Jesus just be like e Father. So e mean say na serious matter to Jehovah too. Jehovah no go take-am easy with anybody wey do wetin make one of Jesus followers fall.​—John 14:9.

¹⁰ This matter of ‘to do wetin go make other people fall,’ we see-am the same way Jehovah and Jesus de see-am? We don accept-am and make-am our own? The things wey you de do show say you don really accept-am? For example, if to say e get one particular style of cloth or hair wey we like, and they tell us say people for congregation fit no like the style because e de make them think about sex matter for their mind. Wetin we go do? Our love for Jehovah go fit move us to feel for our brothers and sisters and change the style?​—1 Tim. 2:9, 10.

11, 12. If we de control ourself and hate wetin bad, how e go protect us from wetin bad?

¹¹ The third example be say: Jehovah hate wetin no dey righteous. (Isa. 61:8) Jehovah know say e de hard sometimes to do wetin dey right because we no dey perfect. But e de encourage us to de think the way e de think and hate wetin bad. (Read Psalm 97:10.) So make we try de control ourself, hate wetin bad and stay far from any bad thing.​—Rom. 12:9.

13. Why we need to think in advance about how Jehovah de think before we meet any matter for future?

¹³ When we de study, e good make we de think about some things wey fit happen for future, and think of how Jehovah de think about the matter. If we de do like that, when we meet any condition wey we need to decide quick-quick, we no go confuse at all, we go fit handle the matter well. (Prov. 22:3) Make we talk about some examples for Bible.

14. Wetin we learn from the answer wey Joseph give Potiphar wife?

¹⁴ Joseph don already think about how  Jehovah de see marriage and sex matter wey God hate. Na e make Joseph quick-quick run when Potiphar wife de try to do other things wey go move Joseph so that two of them go get sex together. (Read Genesis 39:8, 9.) For example, person for our work place start to play with us, touch us or de do some things wey fit lead to sex. Or person send message or picture about sex matter to our phone? * E go dey easy for us to hold our faith strong if we don already decide wetin we go do, we don think about how Jehovah de see the matter and accept-am.

15. Just like the three Hebrews, how we fit hold Jehovah tight and fight any temptation wey fit make us deny our faith?

¹⁵ Another example na the three Hebrews wey them de call Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. They no gree worship the image of gold wey King Nebuchadnezzar make and command say make they worship-am. The answer wey they give the king show say they don already think about wetin e really mean to get strong faith and continue to hold Jehovah tight. (Ex. 20:4, 5; Dan. 3:4-6, 12, 16-18) Make we just talk say, your master for work say make you contribute money for one of the celebrations wey lie-lie religion de do. Wetin you go do? Instead of you to wait for the problem to come before you do something, you no think say e go better if you think about how Jehovah de think about the matter now? 16. When we really understand the way Jehovah de think, how e go help us to prepare for any emergency wey concern our health?

¹⁶ If we de think in advance of why we need to hold Jehovah tight, this one go help us for any emergency wey e concern our health. Even as we don decide say we no go collect blood or any of the four main parts of blood (plasma, red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets), e get some ways wey doctors de use blood or things wey concern blood. But na each Christian go decide by e self, e go allow wetin Bible talk to guide e decision to show say e de think the way Jehovah  de think. (Acts 15:28, 29) Hospital no be the best place to make that kind important decision, because that time we fit dey for pain, and they go need make we decide something quick-quick. 17-19. Why e dey important to learn how Jehovah de think about different-different matter now? Give one example to show why we need to prepare in advance.

¹⁷ The last example na Jesus. When Peter give Jesus wrong advice say, “Lord, make you feel pity for yourself,” Jesus go don think about the thing wey God want make e do, and the things wey Scriptures talk about e life and death for this earth. All this things really help Jesus to dey strong and decide say e go hold Jehovah tight till e die, and e give e life for us.​—Read Matthew 16:21-23.

¹⁸ Today, all servants of God need to de make their friendship with God strong more-more, and do their best for the preaching work wey God give them. (Matt. 6:33; 28:19, 20; Jas. 4:8) Just as Peter do to Jesus, our family, friends or people wey we value fit try to encourage us make we stop to de serve Jehovah. For example, what if your master for work want promote you and increase your salary, but the work no go de give you time for meeting, preaching and other Christian work? Or, what if you get opportunity to comot for house and go school for far place to study more? If e happen, wetin you go do? You go need to pray well-well and do research, talk with your family, talk with the elders, and then make your decision? If na so, learn to think the way Jehovah de think now, and try to accept e thinking and make-am your own. Then, if that kind thing come ever happen to you, e no go be like temptation for you. You don already plan wetin you go do for your mind, and you don decide-am finish for your heart, wetin remain now na to do wetin you don already decide.

¹⁹ You fit still think of other problems wey you fit face when you no expect-am. The truth be say we no fit prepare for all the problems wey fit happen. But if we spend time when we de do our personal study to think deep about the way Jehovah de think, we go fit de remember the things wey we study and use them any time wey problem come. So, make we de always know the way Jehovah de see different-different mater and make-am our own. Make we still de think about how God’s thinking go help us decide well now, and for future.

20, 21. (a) Why we no go get total freedom for new world? (b) How we fit get some part of that joy now?

²⁰ All of us de wait for life for the new world. Some of us hope to live forever for Paradise for this earth. When God’s Kingdom start to rule, all of us go dey free from all the pain and suffer wey we de suffer today for this world. Even that time, we go continue to get freedom. Each person go dey free to choose wetin e like to do and wetin e want.

²¹ But, our freedom go still get boundary, we no go get total freedom. When e reach time to choose wetin dey right or wrong, humble people go follow the law of Jehovah and the way e de think. This one go bring happiness, and e go make plenty joy and peace dey for the earth. (Ps. 37:11) But as we de wait for that time to come, we fit get some part of that joy now, as we de make the way Jehovah de think our own.
