Make You No Tire!

Make You No Tire!

“Make we no tire to do wetin good.”—GAL. 6:9.

SONG 68 De Plant the Truth for Their Heart

WETIN WE GO LEARN? *

1. Which joy and honor we get?

WE REALLY dey happy for the honor wey we get to be Jehovah Witness! We be Jehovah people, and we de show say we be e people as we de preach and teach people about God. We de over glad when we fit help person wey ‘the condition of e heart dey good for everlasting life’ to come serve Jehovah. (Acts 13:48) We de feel the same way wey Jesus feel. Bible talk say ‘the holy spirit make Jesus over glad’ when e disciples come back with better news about their preaching work.—Luke 10:1, 17, 21.

2. How we fit show say we no de play with our preaching work?

2 We no de play with our preaching work. Apostle Paul encourage Timothy say: “De check yourself well and wetin you de teach.” Paul still talk say: “As you de do this one, you go save yourself and other people if they listen to you.” (1 Tim. 4:16) So, our preaching work de save life. We de check ourself well because we dey under the Kingdom of God. We de always want do things wey go bring praise to Jehovah, and wey show say we believe the good news wey we de preach. (Phil. 1:27) Make we de prepare well and de beg Jehovah make e help us, before we go preach to people. This one go show say we ‘de check wetin we de teach.’

3. Na everybody go get interest for the Kingdom message? Give one example.

3 Even when we de do our best to preach to people, plenty people for our area fit no get interest for the good news about the Kingdom. See the experience of Brother Georg Lindal. Na only this brother preach for different-different part of one country wey the name na Iceland, from 1929 go reach 1947. E give people thousands of our book them, but nobody accept the truth. E talk say: “E be like say some of the people dey against the truth, but plenty of them no just get interest.” Some missionaries wey graduate from Gilead go the place go help for the work. But they still preach for many years and nobody really show interest. At last, after nine years, some people for the place give their life to Jehovah and they baptize. *

4. How we fit feel when people no get interest for the good news?

4 We no de glad when people no get interest to study Bible. We fit feel like Paul wey no ‘happy at all and the pain for e heart no gree finish’ because most people wey be Jew no gree accept Jesus as the Messiah wey God promise. (Rom. 9:1-3) Make we say you de study Bible with person. You work hard to be better teacher, and you pray plenty times for your student. But e no de do wetin e de learn, and you need to stop the study. Or maybe you never study with person reach baptism. This one mean say na your fault, and say Jehovah no de bless your preaching work? For this article, we go answer two questions: (1) Wetin de show say we de get success for our preaching work? (2) Wetin we suppose expect when we de preach to people?

WETIN DE SHOW SAY WE DE GET SUCCESS FOR OUR PREACHING WORK?

5. Why our work for Jehovah fit no always bring the result wey we expect?

5 When person de do wetin God want, Bible talk say: “Everything wey e de do go succeed.” (Ps. 1:3) But, that one no mean say the result of everything wey we de do for Jehovah go de be as we want-am. Bible talk say “na so-so trouble full” human life because we no dey perfect and other people no dey perfect too. (Job 14:1) Another thing be say, people wey de give us trouble fit succeed for some time to stop us make we no de do our preaching work for the normal way. (1 Cor. 16:9; 1 Thess. 2:18) So, wetin Jehovah de use check whether we de succeed for our preaching work? Make we see some things for Bible wey go help us answer this question.

Jehovah de value our work, whether we preach to person face-to-face, we use letter, or we use telephone (Check paragraph 6)

6. Wetin Jehovah de use check whether we de succeed for the preaching work?

6 Jehovah de look our hard work and our endurance. When we preach with all our heart because we love Jehovah, e de see this one as success even if people no want listen. Paul talk say: “God no be bad person; e no go forget the things wey wuna don do and the love wey wuna show for e name as wuna help the holy ones and still de help them.” (Heb. 6:10) Jehovah de remember our work and our love, even if we no study person reach baptism. So, you fit still benefit from the thing wey Paul tell people for Corinth say: “Wuna hard work for the Lord no be for nothing,” even if the result of your hard work no be wetin you expect.—1 Cor. 15:58.

7. Wetin we fit learn from the thing wey apostle Paul talk about e preaching work?

7 Apostle Paul na correct missionary. E help to form new congregations for plenty cities. But when some people talk bad about Paul and say e no be good teacher, e no talk about how many people wey e don help to become Christian. Instead, as this people de try to carry theirself go up pass Paul, Paul talk say the things wey them de claim no be true and e say: “Na me don work pass.” (2 Cor. 11:23) Like Paul, we must remember say the thing wey dey important pass to Jehovah na our hard work and endurance.

8. Wetin we suppose remember about our preaching work?

8 Our preaching work de make Jehovah happy. Jesus send 70 disciples make they go preach about the Kingdom. And for the end of their preaching, they “come back with happiness.” Wetin make them really happy? They talk say: “Even the demons de obey us because we use your name.” But Jesus correct the way them de think when e tell them say: “Make wuna no dey happy because the spirits obey wuna, make wuna dey happy because God don write wuna name for heaven.” (Luke 10:17-20) Jesus know say things no go always good like that for their preaching work. The truth na say, we no know how many of the people wey first listen to the disciples, become Christians after. The disciples need to understand say, their joy no go only be because people de listen to them. But, the number one reason wey go give them joy na when they know say Jehovah dey happy with their hard work.

9. As e dey for Galatians 6:7-9, wetin go be the result for us if we no tire to preach?

9 If we no tire as we de preach, we go get everlasting life. As we de do our best to preach and teach people the good news, we still de “do wetin the spirit want” when we de allow God holy spirit to work for our life well. If “we no tire,” Jehovah promise say e go give us everlasting life, even if we never help person give e life to God and baptize.—Read Galatians 6:7-9.

WETIN WE FIT EXPECT WHEN WE PREACH TO PEOPLE?

10. Why some people de listen to our preaching and some other people no de listen?

10 Na the condition of people heart go show whether they go accept the truth or they no go accept-am. Jesus explain this one for one story about farmer wey plant seed for different-different soil. But na only the seed for one of the soil produce fruit. (Luke 8:5-8) Jesus talk say the different-different soil de represent people wey their heart de accept or no de accept “the word of God.” (Luke 8:11-15) Like the farmer, we no go fit make something grow for inside the heart of people wey we don preach to. Our work na to continue to plant the fine seed wey be the Kingdom message. As apostle Paul talk-am, “each person go get reward for the way e do e own work,” no be for the way the result of e work be.—1 Cor. 3:8.

Even as Noah preach for many years, no other person join Noah for the ark except e wife, e sons, and their wives. Even with that one, Noah succeed to obey God! (Check paragraph 11)

11. Why Jehovah no see Noah as person wey fail for the preaching work wey e do? (Check picture for front cover.)

11 Plenty people wey don serve Jehovah before our time preach to people wey no want listen. For example, Noah “preach about wetin good” for about 40 or 50 years. (2 Pet. 2:5) Maybe Noah get hope say people go listen to e message, but Jehovah no talk say that kind thing go happen. Instead, when God tell Noah make e build the ark, E talk say: “You must go inside the ark, you, your sons, your wife, and the wife of your sons wey dey with you.” (Gen. 6:18) And when Jehovah tell Noah the size of the ark wey e go build, Noah fit don notice say plenty people no go listen to the message because space no go dey for them, for inside the ark. (Gen. 6:15) As we know, even one person from that wicked world no listen to Noah. (Gen. 7:7) You think say Jehovah see Noah as person wey don fail? No, e no see Noah like that! God see Noah as person wey succeed for e preaching work, because e do everything wey Jehovah talk say make e do.—Gen. 6:22.

12. Even as people give prophet Jeremiah trouble and they no listen to e message, wetin give the prophet joy for e work?

12 For the same way too, even as people give prophet Jeremiah trouble and they no listen to e message, e preach for more than 40 years. E really feel bad because of the “insult and laugh” from people, sotey e be want stop e work. (Jer. 20:8, 9) But, Jeremiah no stop! Wetin help Jeremiah to change the way e de think and to see the joy for e work? E put e mind for two important things. Number one, the message from God wey Jeremiah go tell the people, go give them “hope and correct future.” (Jer. 29:11) Number two, Jehovah don choose Jeremiah as e messenger to give e message to the people. (Jer. 15:16) For the same way, we de tell people the message wey de give them hope, and we de tell people about Jehovah as we be Jehovah Witness. When we put our mind for this two important things, we go get joy whether people listen or they no listen.

13. Wetin we learn from the story wey Jesus talk for Mark 4:26-29?

13 Faith de grow small-small. Jesus teach this truth for the story wey e talk about the farmer wey de sleep. (Read Mark 4:26-29.) After the farmer plant the seeds, they grow small-small. And the farmer no go fit do anything to make them grow fast, pass as them de grow. You fit need to wait for long time too before you see your Bible student start to do wetin e de learn. Farmer no go fit force e plant to grow quick-quick as e want-am. For the same way, we no go fit force the faith of our Bible students to grow quick-quick as we want-am. So, make you no feel bad or tire if the way them de grow de take long time pass as you expect. Like farmer, we need to dey patient as we de make disciples.—Jas. 5:7, 8.

14. Which example show say e fit take some time before people start to listen to our message?

14 For some territory, e fit take long time to see the result of our preaching work. Make we see the example of Gladys and Ruby Allen; the two of them na sisters. For 1959, they tell them make they go serve as regular pioneer for one town wey them de call Quebec for Canada. * People for there de fear wetin their neighbors and Catholic church go do or talk if they talk with Jehovah Witness people. Because of this one, they no gree listen to the Kingdom message. Gladys talk say: “We go from door to door, eight hours everyday for two years, and nobody even answer us! The people go come their door, they go see us and then, waka comot. But we no tire.” As time de go, the people change the way them de think and some start to listen. Now, na three congregations dey that place.—Isa. 60:22.

15. Wetin 1 Corinthians 3:6, 7 teach us about the work to make disciples?

15 Na people de join hand to make disciples. As we know, na the whole congregation de help person grow reach to baptize. (Read 1 Corinthians 3:6, 7.) For example, publisher fit give tract or magazine to person wey get interest. But the publisher see say e no go fit come back and check the person for time wey go dey okay for the person. So e tell another publisher make e go back. That publisher succeed to start Bible study. Then the publisher de bring different-different brothers and sisters come the study, and each of them de encourage the student for different ways. Each brother or sister wey the student meet go help the student to learn more about Jehovah, as farmer de put water for wetin e plant. For that way, everybody wey work hard to help person, fit dey happy when the person baptize. And this one agree with wetin Jesus talk.—John 4:35-38.

16. Why you fit still get joy for the preaching work, even if you no fit do as you for like to do because you de sick or you no strong?

16 E fit be say, you no de fit preach and teach as you de do before because of sickness or you no strong. You fit still get joy from the thing wey you fit do for the preaching work. Think about this example for Bible. King David and e men go save their families and collect their property back from the Amalekites. Two hundred men too tire to fight, so they stay to protect the load. After they win the war, David give order say make they share the better things wey they carry from the war equal for everybody. (1 Sam. 30:21-25) This story teach us something about the work wey we de do to make disciples. You fit no de do plenty as you for like to do for the preaching and teaching work. But if you do your best, then you go fit still over glad everytime wey new person come know Jehovah and baptize.

17. Wetin we need to thank Jehovah for?

17 We thank Jehovah for the fine way wey e de see the work wey we de do for e service. E know say we no go fit control the result of our work. Even with that one, Jehovah de see our hard work and the better reasons wey de move us to do the work. So, e go bless us. E still de teach us how to get joy for anything wey we fit do for the preaching work. (John 14:12) We fit dey sure say God go dey happy with us, if we no tire!

SONG 67 Make We Preach

^ par. 5 We de glad when people listen to the good news, and we no de glad when they no listen. What if Bible student wey you de help no de grow? Or what if you never study any person reach baptism? This one mean say you don fail for the work wey Jehovah give you to make disciples? For this article, we go see why we fit succeed for our preaching work and still get joy, whether people listen to us or they no listen.
