For 1923, Jehovah organization change some things about the way Jehovah people de worship Jehovah. This one make them fit worship Jehovah more as one. Na that year them start to print Bible verse wey them explain for the meeting wey them de do every week, wey them call “Meeting of Prayer and Praise to Jehovah.” Them still print calendar wey de show the Bible verse wey them go study for meeting every week and song wey them fit sing everyday for their personal study and family worship.

For their meetings, them de give “experience,” and e fit be wetin happen when person de preach or wetin them like to thank Jehovah about, e fit even be just to sing song to Jehovah, or prayer. Sister Eva Barney wey baptize for 1923 when e dey 15 years talk say: “If you get wetin you want talk or thank Jehovah for, you go stand up and start to talk something like, ‘I go like thank the lord for the good things wey e don do for me.’” Some brothers like this part well-well. Sister Barney still talk say: “One old brother wey we love well-well wey im name na Godwin, get plenty things wey e like to thank the Lord for. But when im wife don see say the brother wey de handle the part don de tire for wetin Brother Godwin de talk, e go just draw im cloth small, Brother Godwin go come sitdown.”

Once every month, each class (wey we de call congregation now) de get special part wey them de call Prayer, Praise, and Testimony Meeting. Watch Tower of April 1, 1923 talk about this part say: “Make una de use half of this meeting de talk about wetin una enjoy for preaching and de encourage brothers and sisters for their preaching work. We believe say when we de do things together as one, e go de make brothers and sisters friendship tight more-more.”

One brother for Vancouver, Canada, wey im name na Charles Martin really gain for this meeting. When e dey 19 years, e be class worker (wey we de call congregation publisher now). When e don grow e talk say: “Na for the meeting I learn wetin I go talk when I de preach to person for house-to-house. Plenty times, brothers and sisters de talk about how them take preach for house-to-house. Na so I take learn how to preach and answer person wey give excuse why e no want listen to our message.

Another thing wey still help them de do things together as one more-more, na preaching work. April 1, 1923, Watch Tower talk say: “To fit do the preaching work together as one, . . . , Tuesday, May 1, 1923, go be general preaching day. And after that one, every first Tuesday of each month go be preaching day and make everybody for every class (congregation) join for the preaching work.”

Even young people join for the preaching work. One sister wey im name na Hazel Burford remember wetin happen when e dey 16 years, e talk say: “Them give us one publication wey get example of how to preach, wey we fit cram. a Me and my grand papa really work well-well for preaching.” But e really surprise Sister Burford when one old brother no happy to see young person de preach with them. Sister Burford talk say: “The brother really vex when e see say I de preach to people. That time some people no understand say the preaching work na for all servants of Jehovah, and say even ‘young men and women’ suppose join praise Jehovah.” (Ps. 148:12, 13) But Sister Burford no allow that one stop-am. Later Sister Burford attend second class of Gilead School and them send am as missionary go Panama. As time de go, the brothers come understand say young people suppose join for the preaching work.

Another thing wey help the brothers de do things together more-more na conventions. For many of the convention, them get time wey them take de go preach, like for the convention wey them do for Winnipeg, Canada. This one na part of the convention program. For that convention, them say everybody wey come convention go preach for Winnipeg for March 31 1923, them call-am “Special Bombardment of Winnipeg.” This kind preaching really help the brothers preach to plenty people and them get better result. For August 5, na around 7,000 people attend the convention wey them do for Winnipeg. That time, na that convention people plenty pass.

 One of the convention wey dey important pass wey Jehovah people do for 1923, na the one wey them do for August 18-26, for Los Angeles, California. Some weeks before the convention, newspaper carry-am, and e pass 500,000 invitation wey brothers and sisters give people to invite them for the convention. Them still print some things wey then fit gum for motor, to advertise the convention.

For the Saturday of the convention wey be August 25, Brother Rutherford give one talk wey the title na “Sheep and Goats.” For the talk, e make-am clear say the sheep na people wey de show say them want get life wey no de end. E still give one talk and read wetin our organization don make up their mind to do, them call-am “A Warning.” Them use-am condemn lie-lie religion and tell people wey want worship Jehovah for the correct way say make them comot from “Babylon the Great.” (Rev. 18:2, 4) Later, servants of Jehovah for the whole world, join hand share one tract wey them write this ‘Warning’ put.

For the last day of the convention, e pass 30,000 people wey listen to Brother Rutherford talk wey the title na “All Nations Marching to Armageddon, but Millions Now Living Will Never Die.” As the brothers see say plenty people go like to come listen to the talk, them hire one new hall for Los Angeles, wey them de call Los Angeles Coliseum. To make sure say everybody hear the talk well, them use the new sound system wey dey the hall. And plenty people still listen to the talk for radio.

For 1923, we see say the preaching work grow well-well for Africa, Europe, India, and South America. For example, for India, even though say Brother A. J. Joseph de care for im wife and six children, e still help de produce our book them for Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu language.

For Sierra Leone, Brother Alfred Joseph and Leonard Blackman write letter to our headquarter for Brooklyn, New York, say them need help. And for April 14, 1923, our headquarter give them wetin them ask for. Brother Alfred talks say: “One Saturday night, I receive one call wey I no expect. One loud voice ask me say, ‘Na you write to Watch Tower Society say you need more preachers?’ I answer-am say ‘Yes!’ and e talk say, ‘Well, na me them send come.’” Na Brother William R. Brown call Brother Alfred that night. Brother Brown and im wife Antonia, and their children, Louise and Lucy come from the Caribbean, and na that Saturday them reach Sierra Leone. And e no tey before  the brothers meet Brother Brown and im family.

Brother Alfred talk say: “The next day morning, as me and Brother Leonard de do our Bible study wey we de do every week, we see one tall man wey stand for door. The person na Brother Brown. E really love the truth sotey e want give public talk the next day.” E no reach one month, Brother Brown don place all the book wey e carry come Sierra Leone. And small time, them send another 5,000 books to-am, and before you know, we need more book. Even with all this one, nobody see Brother Brown as person wey de sell book. For all the years wey Brother Brown serve Jehovah, e continue to use Bible for im talk, this one make people start to call-am Bible Brown.

Another thing be say by that time, our branch wey dey Barmen, Germany don come too small for the brothers and sisters for the branch, and France de plan to attack the city wey the branch dey. But the brothers see another place for Magdeburg, and the place really good for the printing work wey our organization de do. Na June 19, 1923, them pack everything wey them use for their work and other thing finish and move go the new Bethel for Magdeburg. After them tell our headquarter say them don pack finish, na the next day newspaper talk say France don take over Barmen, wey be the place wey the former branch office dey. This one help the brothers see say Jehovah de bless them and protect them.

Brother George Young na another person wey travel go far-far place to preach to people. When e reach Brazil, e open one branch office for there and start to print Watch Tower for Portuguese language. And e no take-am many months to fit give people 7,000 magazine and small-small books. One sister wey im name na Sarah Ferguson really happy when Brother Young visit im family. E don read Watch Tower from 1899 go reach 1923, but e never get the chance to fit baptize. After some months, Sister Ferguson and im four children baptize.

For Watch Tower of December 15, 1923, them talk about how the things wey Jehovah people do that year, help them fit worship God together as one. E talk say: “E dey easy to see say things dey go well for the different-different class (congregation). So for the year wey de come, make we ready for more work and make we de happy as we de worship our God.”

1924 na another better year for Jehovah people. The brothers for Bethel don start to build one branch for Staten Island, wey no far from our headquarter for Brooklyn. Them build the branch finish for the beginning of 1924, and this branch really help the brothers continue to worship Jehovah as one and help them preach the good news pass the way wey them don ever do-am before.
