² The time wey apostle Peter write the two Bible book, brothers and sisters that time de ‘suffer because of different-different problem.’ (1 Pet. 1:6) Bad people de try bring lie-lie teaching and bad character enter congregation. (Rom. 15:4) For this our time, people around us no de live clean life and we too, de face problem wey fit make-am hard to worship Jehovah well. Another thing be say we go soon face the great tribulation wey pass the one wey Jew people face before Rome soldiers destroy Jerusalem and the temple. We go learn plenty things from first and second Peter, wey go help us (1) ready for the end of this Satan world, (2) stop to fear people, (3) get strong love for our brothers and sister, and (4) help elders see how them fit help brothers and sisters for congregation to continue to hold Jehovah tight.

4. As e dey for 2 Peter 3:3, 4, wetin fit make our faith weak?

⁴ Plenty people wey dey around us no believe say wetin Bible talk go happen. Plenty people fit de laugh us because e don tey wey we de preach say Satan world go soon end. And some people de talk say this wicked world no go ever end. (Read 2 Peter 3:3, 4.) Our faith fit weak if we hear this kind thing from person wey we de preach to, our workmate, or family member. Apostle Peter tell us wetin fit help us if this kind thing happen to us.

7. When we de fear people, how e fit affect us?

E fit be because we de fear wetin people fit think about us or do us. Na this kind thing happen to Peter. For the night wey them arrest Jesus, fear make Peter deny-am three times. (Matt. 26:69-75) But later, Peter stop to de fear and write say: “Make una no fear wetin people de fear, and make e no worry una.” (1 Pet. 3:14) Wetin Peter talk show say we fit stop to de fear people.

8. Wetin go help us stop to fear people? (1 Peter 3:15)

¹¹ Peter advice us say make we “get strong love wey come from the heart for each other.” This one mean say we go love somebody even if e hard to love the person. For example, imagine say one brother or sister do wetin make you vex, the first thing wey fit come your mind fit be to do-am back instead to show-am love and forgive-am. But Peter learn from Jesus say this kind character no de make God happy. (John 18:10, 11) Peter write say: “Make una no pay bad with bad or insult person wey insult una. 14. Wetin go move elders to like to care for the sheep? (1 Peter 5:1-4)

¹⁴ Peter tell elders say, “like shepherd, make una care for God sheep.” (Read 1 Peter 5:1-4.) If you be elder, we know say you love your brothers and sisters and you like to care for them. But some time, you fit tire or get plenty things to do and this one fit make-am hard for you to care for congregation well. Wetin you fit do? Tell Jehovah how you de feel. As coronavirus start, Brother William and the other elders decide say every week, them go de call each publisher for their field service group. E talk say them make this arrangement because, as most of the brothers and sisters de stay alone for house, them fit start to think bad things and this one fit cause serious problem for them. When brother or sister de explain im problem to Brother William, e go listen well so that e go understand the problem well and know how to help the person. Then e go try look for publication or video for our website wey e fit use help the brother or sister. E talk say: “Elders need to shepherd brothers and sisters for congregation now pass before. Just as we de work hard to teach people about Jehovah,  na so elders need to work hard to shepherd brothers and sisters for congregation and help them continue to hold Jehovah tight.”

16. Wetin be some ways wey we fit do wetin we don learn for first and second Peter?

¹⁶ As we don learn some things from the book of first and second Peter, you fit don see some area wey you need to improve. For example, you go like to de think more about the blessing wey we go enjoy for the new world? You don plan to de preach for your work place, your school, or any other time wey you no dey for preaching?
