“De Do Wetin the Word of God Talk”
“Make una be people wey de do wetin the word of God talk, no be just people wey de hear-am.”—JAS. 1:22.
WETIN WE GO LEARN?
This article go help us like to read Bible everyday, think deep about wetin we read, and do wetin we learn.
1-2. Why servants of Jehovah de happy? (James 1:22-25)
JEHOVAH and im Son Jesus Christ want make we de happy. The person wey write Psalm 119:2 talk say: “People wey de do wetin God talk go happy, and all the people wey de use all their heart look for God go still happy.” Jesus talk say: “Na people wey de hear the word of God and de do-am go happy!”—Luke 11:28.
2 Jehovah servants na people wey de happy well-well. Why? Because we get plenty reason to de happy. But one important reason why we de happy be say, we de read Bible everyday and we de do our best to do wetin we learn.—Read James 1:22-25.
3. How we de gain when we de do wetin we learn from Bible?
3 We de gain plenty things when we de do wetin we learn from Bible. For example, when we do wetin we learn from Bible, we de make Jehovah happy and that one go make us happy too. (Eccl. 12:13) Another thing be say, when we de do wetin we learn from Bible, e go make our relationship with our family members better, and make our friendship with brothers and sisters for congregation better. We dey sure say this one go don happen to you. Another thing be say, e de help us fit run from the problem wey people de face because them no obey Jehovah law. This na exactly wetin King David talk. After e talk about Jehovah law, commandment, and judgement for one of im song, e talk for the end say: “Plenty blessing dey when person obey them.”—Ps. 19:7-11.
4. Why e no easy for us to de read Bible and do wetin we learn?
4 The truth be say, no be everytime e dey easy for us to read Bible and do wetin we learn. Even though say we dey busy well-well, we need to get time to de read and study Bible so that we go fit know wetin Jehovah want make we do. Make we talk about some things wey fit help us to always read Bible. We go still talk about wetin go help us fit de think deep about wetin we read and do wetin we learn from Bible.
GET TIME WEY YOU GO TAKE DE READ BIBLE
5. Wetin be some of the things wey we de do wey de make us dey busy?
5 Servants of Jehovah na busy people. We de spend plenty time to do the things wey Bible talk say them dey important for us to do. For example, most of us de work so that we go fit take care of ourself and our family. (1 Tim. 5:8) Some of us de care for our family members wey de sick or wey don old. We still need to care for our health and this one too need time. Ontop all this one, we de get assignment for congregation wey we need to handle. Another important work wey we get na to preach the good news. With all this important work wey dey our hand, how we fit get time to de read Bible everyday, think deep about wetin we read, and do wetin we learn?
6. How you go fit make sure say you de read Bible everyday? (Still check the picture.)
6 To de read Bible na one of “the things wey dey important pass” for all servant of Jehovah, so we must make sure say we de do-am. (Phil. 1:10) The person wey write Psalm 1 talk say Jehovah servant de happy because “e de really enjoy the law of Jehovah, and e de read-am and think deep about-am day and night.” (Ps. 1:1, 2) This one mean say, we need to get time wey we take de read Bible so that we too go de happy. Which time better pass to de read Bible each day? Na each of us go decide which time go better pass for-am. But wetin dey important be say, make you choose time wey go dey possible for you to de read Bible everyday. One brother wey im name na Victor talk say: “I like to read my Bible for morning. Even though say I no de like to quick wake up for morning, na that time plenty things no go dey to disturb me when I de read. And I de fit put mind well for wetin I de read.” Na so e be for you? Ask yourself say, ‘Which time go better pass for me to de read Bible?’
THINK DEEP ABOUT WETIN YOU READ
7-8. Wetin fit make-am hard for us to fit gain from wetin we read from Bible? Give example.
7 The truth be say we fit de read plenty things, but we fit no really think deep about-am. You don ever read about something and after small time, you no remember wetin you read? This kind thing don happen to all of us. And e fit still happen to us when we de read Bible. We fit don decide say we go de read some particular number of chapter for Bible everyday. That one na better thing, because e good make we get plan, and do our best to do as we plan. (1 Cor. 9:26) But, if we want really gain from wetin we de read from Bible, we need to de read and think deep about wetin we read.
8 Think about this example: Plant need water to fit survive. But if rain fall too much for short time, the water go too much for the ground. When this one happen and rain fall again, the ground no go fit soak the water and plant no go fit gain from-am. So e go better make the rain fall small-small so that the water go fit enter the ground small-small, and e go help plant to grow. For the same way, e no go good make we rush read Bible, because e no go allow us fit think deep about wetin we read, and we no go fit remember and do wetin we learn.—Jas. 1:24.
9. Wetin we need to do if we see say we de rush read Bible?
9 E don happen to you before say you de rush read Bible? Wetin you fit do? Make you slow down and read-am small-small, so that you go fit get time to think deep about wetin you de read or wetin you don read. This one no suppose hard you to do. You fit decide to add more time join the time wey you take de study, so that you go get more time to think deep about wetin you learn. Or you fit decide say you no go read plenty verse, so that you go fit use the time wey remain think deep about wetin you read. Brother Victor wey we talk about before talk say: “I decide say I no go de read plenty chapter everyday, na only one chapter I go de read. And na for morning I de read my Bible, that one de help me fit think about wetin I read for the whole day.” Whether you choose to read plenty or small, wetin dey important be say make you no rush read-am, so that you go fit think deep about wetin you read.—Ps. 119:97; check the box, “ Questions Wey You Need to Think About.”
10. Give example wey show how you fit do wetin you de learn. (1 Thessalonians 5:17, 18)
10 No matter the time wey you choose to de read your Bible or how long you do-am, wetin dey important pass na to think about how you go do wetin you read. As you de read, ask yourself say, ‘How I fit use wetin I de read now or for future?’ For example, imagine say you read 1 Thessalonians 5:17, 18. (Read-am.) After you don read the two verse, you stop and think about how many times you de pray, and if your prayer de really come from your heart. Another thing be say you fit think about the things wey Jehovah don do for you. You fit decide say you go thank Jehovah for three things. Even if na only small time you use think deep about wetin you read from Bible, e go help you understand-am well, and you go fit do wetin you learn. If you de do like this everyday when you de read Bible, e go make you be better servant of Jehovah. Wetin you go do if you see say you get plenty area to work on?
NO PLAN TO DO EVERYTHING THE SAME TIME
11. Sometimes, why we fit feel say e no go easy to do all the things wey we de learn? Give example.
11 When you read Bible and you see say you get plenty things wey you need to work on, that one fit make you tire sometimes. Think about this example: For your Bible reading today, you learn say e no good to de do partial. (Jas. 2:1-8) E really touch you and you decide say you need to change the way you de treat people. Na better thing! Then the next day, you read say e dey important to dey careful for the way you de talk. (Jas. 3:1-12) Then you remember say, sometimes you de talk wetin no good about other people. So you make up your mind say you go de talk wetin go encourage people. For the third day, you learn say e no good to like things for Satan world. (Jas. 4:4-12) So you see say you go need to dey careful about the things wey you de read, watch, and listen to. For the fourth day, you fit don de feel say e no go easy for you to do all this things.
12. As you de read your Bible, why e dey important make you no tire if you see say you need to change plenty things for your life? (Still check the footnote.)
12 If you de read Bible and you see say you need to change plenty things for your life, no let this one tire you. This one de show say you de carry body down and say you de read Bible with better mind. When person de carry body down, e go de look for different-different way wey e fit do wetin e de read. a Remember say to wear “the new character” no be one day work. (Col. 3:10; compare the study note “is being made new,” for English.) Wetin go help you continue to do wetin you read from Bible?
13. Wetin be the best way to do wetin you learn? (Still check the picture.)
13 Instead to try to do everything wey you learn at once, you fit start with one or two. (Prov. 11:2) See wetin you fit do: First, write all the things wey you need to work on. Then, choose one or two wey you go first work on, and later you fit work on the other ones. But which one you go first work on?
14. If you get plenty things to work on, which one you fit start with?
14 You fit decide to start with the ones wey go easy pass for you to do. Or you fit decide say you go start with something wey you feel say you need to work on quick-quick. When you don decide which one you go first work on, make you use our books do research. You fit use Watch Tower Publications Index or the Research Guide for Jehovah’s Witnesses (for English). Pray to Jehovah make e ‘move you to want do-am and give you power to do-am.’ (Phil. 2:13) Then try do wetin you learn. When you succeed to do the first thing wey you decide to work on, that one go encourage you to work on other ones. When you see say you succeed to change one bad character, e go dey easy for you to change other things for your life.
MAKE WETIN YOU DE LEARN FROM BIBLE DE SHOW FOR YOUR LIFE
15. How Jehovah people dey different from many people wey de read Bible? (1 Thessalonians 2:13)
15 Some people don read Bible plenty times. But them really believe wetin Bible de teach? Them de do wetin them de learn from Bible? No, plenty people no de follow wetin Bible talk. But Jehovah people no de do like that. Just like Christians for apostles time, we believe say Bible na “the word of God, and na so e be true-true.” Another thing be say, we de do our best to do wetin we de learn from Bible.—Read 1 Thessalonians 2:13.
16. Wetin go help us fit do wetin we de learn from Bible?
16 E no always dey easy to read Bible and do wetin we learn. E fit hard us to get time to de read Bible everyday. Or we fit de rush read Bible and we no fit think deep about wetin we read. Or the plenty things wey you see say you need to change for your life fit make-am tire you. No matter wetin the problem be, we go fit succeed! Jehovah go help us fit handle the problem. So make we make up our mind to allow Jehovah help us, so that we no go only de hear, but still de do wetin we de learn from Bible. True-true, the more we de read Bible and de do wetin we de learn, the more we go de happy.—Jas. 1:25.
