The better wife wey Proverbs chapter 31 talk about, get “the law of kindness” for e tongue. (Prov. 31:26) E de allow this “law” to affect the thing wey e de talk and how e de talk-am. Papa them still suppose allow this “law” to guide the thing wey them de talk and how them de talk-am. Plenty papa and mama really know say when they talk for harsh way, this one fit affect their children for bad way. If papa and mama de talk for harsh way, their pikin fit no de listen well to wetin them de talk. But if papa and mama de talk for kind way, e go dey easy for their children to listen to them and do wetin they talk.

When we de do like Jehovah, we no go only de talk for kind way, we go still de do things to show kindness. (Eph. 4:32; 5:1, 2) Lisa wey we talk about before, talk the things  wey the brothers and sisters do to show kindness. Two husband and wife for the congregation take excuse from their work to help us pack. Anne, wey we don talk about before still dey happy for the kindness wey the brothers and sisters show. E talk say: “The way everything be for this world de make me get doubt. The truth be say, e de hard me to trust people.” E still talk say: “When I meet Jehovah Witness people, I no first trust them. I be de think-am for my mind say, ‘Why this people dey good to me like this?’ But e dey clear say my Bible teacher really dey kind, e no pretend. This one make me trust-am.” Better result come out from this one? Yes. E still talk say, “After, I start to sofri think more about wetin I de learn.”

Because of the way they train some people and the area where they live, this one de make-am dey easy for them to use kind word and to smile. And e really dey fine say this one still de move them to talk to people for fine way and treat people well. The truth be say, to show real kindness na part of the fruit way God de use e holy spirit produce. (Gal. 5:22, 23) So, for us to de show this kindness, we need to allow God spirit to affect the things wey we de think and the things wey we de do. When we do like that, e mean say we de do like Jehovah and Jesus. Just like Jesus, we wey be Christians really like to help people. And na the love wey we get for Jehovah God and for people de move us to do this one. So, the kindness wey we de show go come be part of our character wey come from our heart, and the type wey Jehovah really like.

E fit dey easy for us to show kindness to people wey don show kindness to us before or to people wey we know. (2 Sam. 2:6) One way wey we fit do this one na to thank them. (Col. 3:15) But what if we feel say e get person wey we no suppose show kindness?

Make we see one example. Na Jehovah be the number one example of person wey de show kindness for special way. And e Word teach us one important lesson about to show this kindness or special favor. For Christian Greek Scriptures, “special favor” appear plenty times. How God de show us kindness?

Think about the plenty-plenty people for this earth wey Jehovah don show kindness as e give them the things wey they need to continue to live. (Matt. 5:45) The truth be say, even before we know Jehovah, e don already show us kindness. (Eph. 2:4, 5, 8) For example, e give us e best, wey be e special Son, to save all of us. Apostle Paul write say Jehovah give us the ransom “from the surplus favor wey [e] get.” (Eph. 1:7) Another thing be say, even though say we de sin and de do wetin Jehovah no like, Jehovah de continue to guide and teach us. E direction and the things wey e de talk be like “gentle rain.” (Deut. 32:2) E dey clear say we no go fit ever pay-am back for all the kindness wey e de show us. And the truth be say, if Jehovah no show us kindness, we for no get hope say our future go better.—Compare 1 Peter 1:13.

The truth be say, the way Jehovah de show kindness de make us to want dey e side and move us to show people kindness. Think of the people for your family or for your congregation wey go gain from the better word wey you talk or for the better things wey you do. Another thing be say, when you meet person for preaching wey need help, you fit do something to help the person?
