1. ALL ISRAEL PEOPLE FOR PAST NA ONE NATION

For past, Jehovah gather e people make they be one nation. This people na the nation of Israel. God talk say the nation of Israel na e “special property among all the people.” (Ex. 19:⁠5) God give them their own land. This one mean say when God tell Israel people make they go fight war with other nations, they no suppose fight or kill people wey de serve God with them. *

For this our time, true servants of God come from “different-different country and place, and them be different-different people wey de speak different language.” (Rev. 7:⁠9) If to say God people de fight war, they for de fight and even kill their brothers and sisters wey de worship God with them.

 2. JEHOVAH COMMAND ISRAEL PEOPLE MAKE THEY FIGHT WAR

For past, Jehovah de decide the time and the reason why Israel people need to fight war. For example, God tell Israel people make them fight so that they go destroy Canaan people because of the bad things wey them de do. This Canaan people de worship demon, de practice sex wey no clean, and de use their children do sacrifice. So, Jehovah tell Israel people to destroy Canaan people wey de live for the Promise Land, so that Israel people no go do the bad things wey them de do. (Lev. 18:24, 25) When Israel people don dey the Promise Land, sometimes, God de allow them make they fight to protect theirself from their enemies. (2 Sam. 5:17-25) But e no get any time wey Jehovah allow Israel people make they choose to go fight war by theirself. Each time they choose to go fight war by theirself, bad things de always happen to them.—Num. 14:41-45; 2 Chron. 35:20-24.

For this our time, Jehovah no de tell people to go fight war. But some nations de fight to get wetin they want. This nations fit de fight war because they want more land, plenty money, or make people support them for politics matter. What of people wey de claim say them de fight war for God because they want protect their religion or kill God enemies? Jehovah go protect people wey de serve-am for correct way and destroy e enemies for one war wey they go fight for future, the war of Armageddon. (Rev. 16:14, 16) For that war, na angels for heaven Jehovah go use fight-am, no be people wey de worship-am for this earth. —Rev. 19:11-15.

3. ISRAEL PEOPLE NO KILL PEOPLE WEY SHOW SAY THEY GET FAITH FOR JEHOVAH

For past, Israel soldiers de always show pity for people wey show say they get faith for Jehovah and kill only the people wey Jehovah don decide say they must die. Make we see two examples. Even though say Jehovah tell Israel people make they destroy Jericho, but they no kill Rahab and e family because Rahab put faith for God.  (Josh. 2:9-16; 6:16, 17) After, Israel people no kill Gibeon people because they show respect for God.—Josh. 9:3-9, 17-19.

For this our time, different-different countries wey de fight war de kill people wey show say they get faith. And sometimes, they still de kill even people wey no be soldiers.

4. ISRAEL PEOPLE MUST FOLLOW THE LAWS WEY GOD GIVE THEM ABOUT WAR

For past, when Israel people de fight war, they must follow the laws wey Jehovah give them about war. For example, sometimes, God de tell Israel people to tell the nation wey they want fight “wetin them go do” so that they no go fight them. (Deut. 20:10) Jehovah still command Israel soldiers make they keep their camp clean and make they no put hand for sex wey no clean. (Deut. 23:9-14) When the soldiers of the nations wey dey around Israel people go fight war, them de rape the women of the cities wey they don win, but Jehovah no allow the soldiers of Israel to do like that. The truth be say, they no fit even marry woman wey they carry from the city wey they don win for war until one month pass wey they don win the city.—Deut. 21:10-13.

For this our time, many countries don sign agreement to follow some laws wey go control how them de fight war. Even though say this agreement na to protect ordinary people, the sad thing be say, many times they no de follow this laws.

5. GOD FIGHT FOR ISRAEL PEOPLE

For past, Jehovah fight for Israel people and many times e help them win their war for way wey they no expect. For example, how Jehovah help Israel people to win the city of Jericho? As Jehovah command, when Israel people shout, the fence of the city fall down, and this one make-am dey easy for Israel people to win the city. (Josh. 6:20) And how they win the war wey they fight against the Amorites? “Jehovah make big-big ice block for up fall on top them . . . In short, the number of people wey die from the ice block plenty pass the ones wey Israel people kill with sword.”—Josh. 10:6-11.

TRUE CHRISTIANS DE TRY THEIR BEST TO MAKE PEACE WITH OTHER PEOPLE

As we don learn, our condition really dey different from wetin Israel people for past face. Even though say our condition de different from their own, we still get other reasons why Christians no de fight war. For example, God talk say for last days, e people no go “learn war again,” and they no go even fight war at all. (Isa. 2:2-4) Apart from that one, Jesus talk say e disciples no go be “part of this world.” They no go support any side for any fight-fight for this world.—John 15:⁠19.

Jesus tell e disciples make they do another thing. E teach them make they stop any bad character wey fit make them to de carry person for mind, de vex or to even fight war. (Matt. 5:21, 22) E still teach e disciples make they be people wey “de make peace” and to love their enemies.—Matt. 5:9, 44.

How this one suppose affect us? Na true say we no get the mind to go fight war, but we de feel say anybody dey for our congregation wey be our enemy? Make we try our best to comot this bad feeling from our mind.—Jas. 4:1, 11.

We no de join the wars wey people de fight for this world, instead we love people and want make peace dey among everybody. (John 13:34, 35) Make we make up our mind not to support any side for the wars wey people de fight for this world, as we de wait for the time when Jehovah go end all war forever.—Ps. 46:9.
