 PEOPLE for this world wey Satan de control, no know who they fit trust. They don tire for the things wey business people, people for politics, and leaders for religion de do. Some feel say they no fit trust their friend, neighbor, and even their family people. This one no suppose surprise us, because Bible don talk-am before say: “For last days, . . . people . . . no go de do as they talk, . . . they go de talk bad about people, . . . [and] trust no go dey.” This one mean say people go be like Satan wey be the god of this wicked world wey person no fit trust.​—2 Tim. 3:1-4; 2 Cor. 4:4.

2. (a) Who we fit really trust? (b) Wetin some people fit de think about brothers and sisters for congregation?

² But as people wey de serve Jehovah, we know say we fit trust Jehovah finish. (Jer. 17:7, 8) We dey sure say Jehovah really love us, and e “no go ever leave” e people. (Ps. 9:10) We fit still trust Jesus Christ because e die for us. (1 Pet. 3:18) And we don take our eye see say the advice wey dey for inside Bible de work. (2 Tim. 3:16, 17) So we know say we fit trust Jehovah, Jesus, and Bible. But some people de wonder, if they go fit always trust brothers and sisters for congregation. If the answer na yes, why we fit trust them?

3. Which special honor we get? (Mark 10:​29, 30)

³ Jehovah don choose us to be part of e family for this earth. This one na special honor wey de bring plenty gain! (Read Mark 10:29, 30.) For the whole world, we get brothers and sisters wey love Jehovah like us, and them de do their best to do wetin Jehovah talk. Na true say the way we de  dress, our language, and the way we de do things fit dey different from their own, but we love them even if na the first time we de see them. We de really like-am to dey with them to praise and worship our Papa for heaven.​—Ps. 133:1.

4. Why we need our brothers and sisters?

⁴ We need to dey close to our brothers and sisters now pass before. Them de help us when we de face problem. (Rom. 15:1; Gal. 6:2) They still de encourage us to do our best as we de serve Jehovah. (1 Thess. 5:11; Heb. 10:23-25) Imagine how e for be if to say we no get our brothers and sisters wey de help us stand well against Satan and this wicked world wey e de control. Satan and the people wey e de control go soon attack people wey de serve God. We go really dey happy say our Christian brothers and sisters dey our side to support us that time.

5. Why e no dey easy for some people to trust their brothers and sisters for congregation?

⁵ Sometimes, e dey hard for some people to trust their brothers and sisters for congregation. Why? Maybe the brother or sister tell other people about their secret, or e no gree do wetin e promise, or person for congregation talk or do something wey really pain them. This kind thing fit really make-am hard to trust people. So wetin fit help us trust our brothers and sisters?

6. How love fit help us trust our brothers and sisters? (1 Corinthians 13:​4-8)

⁶ Na love de make us trust our brothers and sisters. First Corinthians chapter 13 tell us many things about love wey fit help us trust people, and wetin fit help us trust them again if something don happen.  (Read 1 Corinthians 13:4-8.) For example, verse 4 talk say: “Love dey patient and kind.” Jehovah dey patient with us even when we sin. So we must continue to dey patient with our brothers and sisters especially when they talk or do something wey we no like or wey pain us. Verse 5 still talk say: “[Love] no de quick vex. E no de keep record of the bad wey people don do.” This one mean say we no go de keep wetin our brothers and sisters do us wey pain us for mind, and de talk about-am when they offend us again. Ecclesiastes 7:9 talk say: “Make you no de vex quick.” So na really better thing to follow wetin dey Ephesians 4:26 wey talk say: “No allow sun go down and wuna still de vex”!

7. How wetin dey Matthew 7:​1-5 fit help us to trust other people?

⁷ Another thing wey fit help us trust our brothers and sisters, na to de see them the way Jehovah de see them. Jehovah really love them, and e no de keep the bad thing wey them do for mind. So e good make we be like Jehovah. (Ps. 130:3) Instead of us to de put eye for their mistake, e good make we de try our best to see the good-good character wey they get, and de think about the good things wey they fit do. (Read Matthew 7:1-5.) Even if they do something wey really pain us, make we believe say our brothers no go get-am for mind to do wetin pain us, because love “believe everything.” (1 Cor. 13:7) This one no mean say Jehovah want make we just de trust anybody when we no get reason to do so. Instead, e want make we trust people because they don show say we fit trust them. *

8. Wetin go help you fit trust your brothers and sisters?

⁸ Trust be like respect. Just like wetin we de do go make people respect us, na so wetin we de do go make people trust us, but this one de take time. Wetin you fit do so that you go fit trust your brothers and sisters? Try to know them well. Greet and talk with them for meeting. Arrange to work with them for preaching. Dey patient with them, and give them the chance to show say you fit trust them. When you just meet person, you fit no tell-am everything about yourself. But as you de know the person more-more, e fit dey easy to tell-am some kind thing about yourself. (Luke 16:10) But wetin you fit do if brother or sister for congregation do something wey fit make you no trust-am again? No quick talk say you no go be e friend again. Instead, give the matter some time. And no allow the thing wey some people do wey pain you make you stop to trust your brothers and sisters. Now, make we see the example of some faithful servants of Jehovah wey continue to trust other people even though say some people do wetin really pain them.

That time, na High Priest Eli de take the lead for the worship of Jehovah for Israel. But e family no de show good example. E two sons wey be priest de do bad thing and de do  sex wey no clean, but their papa no correct them well. Jehovah no just stop Eli to be high priest at once. Even with all this things wey Eli family de do, Hannah no stop to worship Jehovah for the tabernacle even as Eli continue to be high priest. When Eli see the way Hannah de pray, e think say Hannah don drink. But e no know say na the problem wey Hannah de face de make-am pray like that. Eli no first ask Hannah wetin de happen to-am, before e talk say Hannah don drink. (1 Sam. 1:12-16) Even with that one, Hannah promise Jehovah say if e born pikin wey be boy, e go bring-am come tabernacle to serve Jehovah there. And for there, na Eli go take care of the pikin. (1 Sam. 1:11) Jehovah go need to correct the things wey Eli sons de do? Yes, because after some time, Jehovah punish them. (1 Sam. 4:17) Small time, Hannah get belle and born boy. E name na Samuel.​—1 Sam. 1:17-20.

10. How King David continue to trust other people even though say some people turn against-am?

¹⁰ Your tight friend don ever turn against you before? If that kind thing don happen to you, think about the example of King David. E get one tight friend wey e name na Ahithophel. But when Absalom wey be the pikin of David, try to take the throne from David, Ahithophel turn against David and join Absalom. E really pain David to see say e son Absalom and e tight friend Ahithophel turn against-am! Even with all this one, David no allow wetin they do to make-am stop to trust other people. David continue to trust another tight friend Hushai, wey no support wetin Absalom and Ahithophel do. David get better reason to trust Hushai. Hushai show say na better friend e be, e even risk e life to help David.​—2 Sam. 17:1-16.

11. How one servant of Nabal show say e trust Abigail?

¹¹ Another example na one servant of Nabal. David and e men, don de protect the servants of one man wey e name na Nabal. After some time, David beg Nabal make e give e men food, anything wey e fit give them. When Nabal no gree help David, David vex sotey e decide say e go kill all the men and any pikin wey be boy for the house of Nabal. One servant of Nabal report the matter give Abigail  wey be Nabal wife. E tell Abigail because e know say their life dey for danger and na only Abigail go fit save them. E no run because e trust Abigail say e go correct the matter. E trust Abigail because everybody know say Abigail na woman wey really get sense. Wetin happen after show say this servant get good reason to trust Abigail. With strong heart, Abigail use sense stop David make e no do wetin e don plan to do. (1 Sam. 25:2-35) Abigail trust David say e go do the right thing.

12. How Jesus show say e trust e disciples even though say them de make mistake?

¹² Jesus trust e disciples even though say them de make mistake. (John 15:​15, 16) When James and John ask Jesus for special position for e Kingdom, Jesus no talk say them de serve God because of wetin they go gain, or tell them say they no go be apostle again. (Mark 10:35-40) After, all the disciples of Jesus run leave-am for the night wey they arrest-am. (Matt. 26:56) But that one no make Jesus stop to trust them. Jesus really know all the mistake wey them de make, but e still “love them reach the end.” (John 13:1) When Jesus come back to life, e give e 11 apostles wey hold-am tight important work wey be to care for the preaching work, and to care for e sheep. (Matt. 28:19, 20; John 21:15-17) Jesus get good reason to trust them, even though say they no dey perfect. All of them serve Jehovah well till they die. So, Hannah, David, servant of Nabal, Abigail and Jesus show us better example to de trust other people.

13. Wetin fit make-am hard for us to trust other people?

¹³ You don tell person your matter before, and after, that person go tell another person? That kind thing de pain. E get one time wey one sister tell one elder e matter, and the sister believe say the elder no go tell another person. The next day, the wife of the elder call the sister to encourage-am. E clear say the elder don go tell e wife the sister matter. This one really make-am hard for the sister to trust that elder again. But this one no make the sister stop to trust the elders. The sister go meet another elder, and this elder encourage-am. This one help the sister to trust the elders again.

14. Wetin help one brother to trust e Christian brothers again?

¹⁴ E get one brother wey vex for two elders for long. E de feel say e no fit trust them. But e start to think about wetin another brother wey e really respect talk. The brother talk say: “Na Satan be our enemy, no be our brothers.” Wetin e talk really touch-am. E settle down think about-am and think about wetin e suppose do. E pray to Jehovah for help and e make peace with the two elders.

15. Why e fit take time to trust person again? Give example.

¹⁵ E get work wey you de do for congregation and the elders stop you to do-am? That kind thing de pain. Na wetin happen to one sister wey e name na Grete be that. Grete and e mama de serve Jehovah well for Nazi Germany when they ban our work before Second World War. E like the work wey they give-am. The work na to de type Watchtower for e brothers and sisters. But when the brothers know say e papa dey against the truth, they stop Grete to de do this work because them de fear say e papa fit report them to government. That one no be the only problem wey Grete face. Until the  Second World War end, brothers and sisters no gree give Grete and e mama magazine and they no gree talk to them anywhere wey they see them. E really pain Grete sotey e take-am long time to forgive the brothers and to trust them again. After some time, Grete talk say since Jehovah go don forgive them, e suppose forgive them too. *

16. Why e good make we work hard to trust our brothers and sisters again?

¹⁶ If this kind thing don happen to you before, try hard to trust your brothers and sisters again. E fit take some time, but no be waste of time at all. For example, if you don ever chop food wey no good for your body, that one go make you dey careful about wetin you de chop. But that one go make you stop to chop? Na so e still be. Make we no allow wetin one person do wey pain us make us stop to trust our brothers and sisters because we know say they no dey perfect. When we do this one, we go happy pass before and e go help us know wetin we fit do to add join the trust wey brothers and sisters for congregation get for each other.

17. Why trust dey important, and wetin we go talk about for the next article?

¹⁷ People for this world wey Satan de control no trust theirself. But we fit trust our brothers and sisters because we love them and they love us.
